I spoke with Mike on the phone last week about my situation. He was professional and patient with my little worry-filled self. He followed up diligently to my questions / concerns and provided resources that were helpful for my situation. He worked w my uncertain timeline due to this particular unstable individual's unpredictability. The situation ended up resolving peacefully. I am grateful for Mike's support throughout it, and I highly recommend working w him for your security needs - whether as a little female like me fearful and needing help; or private security for dignitaries; or for organizations needing security for events. It was difficult to figure out what to search for with private security, but through this experience, I learned through a bit of research that Virginia's Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) has a website where you can look up a business related to security and see the license info (and make sure they are legit too if you're working w one private individual). You can also read into what the differences in training are for each of the certifications. Mike has agents available who can serve as unarmed and armed security with arresting authority. (There might be more security services his business does, but this was mainly what I was needing so that's what we spoke on!)

When she called to cancel, she was answering many questions, told it was just part of the process, which was fine. In the end, the representative said "OK, that will be $3000 to close the account!!! WHAT!?! So basically, we are forced to keep this POS system until April 2029. What a rip off and scam. She was recovering from surgery at the time so ADT was given my email address and phone number to contact. Installation went fine and following it being completed we asked that my contact information be replaced with that of our daughter. We have now been attempting for FOUR YEARS to have this completed. She calls ADT Customer Service constantly and is of course is told that it has been taken care of, which it NEVER is. Just last week I received a barrage of emails advising me that her alarm system needed a new battery. I have received calls that their alarm was sounding. Again, she has made the request every time to change the contact information and again she was advised it was taken care of. I just received a call on MY cell phone from ADT. It was the ADT "virtual" service tech calling to assist my son-in-law with a change that needed to be made to the keypad. I explained to the tech all that has gone on and that he would need to contact my daughter; I gave him her cell phone number and repeated it to him. He said he would call them. Rather than do that, they received a message that the appointment was cancelled and they were advised to make a new appointment. There is a wait time of 45 minutes to do so. My husband and I have been ADT customers for FIFTY-ONE years. That ends NOW. WHAT IF THERE WAS AN EMERGENCY???? ADT used to be the only game in town but it no longer is so we do not have to tolerate such shoddy customer service.
