I started hearing about functional medicine practitioners and researched for one in Wilmington. I heard they heal you with a holistic approach to find the source of your symptoms and start there. OMG what a revelation! Anyway I had my first appointment with Theresa and was immediately impressed by her knowledge, passion and sincere caring about her patients. She did a battery of tests, which had never been done in my entire life, so she could see exactly what is going on inside my body. At my second appointment she had all the results from the reports and had created a plan to get me back to health. She went over every report in great detail and told me what was going on with my body. I became emotional finally realizing that there was an answer and a fix to some of my debilitating issues! I felt such happiness and relief you can't even imagine. I told her I was all in 100% to get my body healed and healthy again. I am 6 weeks into my healing process and feel a difference already! Most noticeably a huge increase in my energy and my brain fog lifting! I am looking forward to the months down the road with the continued long-awaited healing of my Body Mind and Spirit! Coming to Victory health is worth every penny and Teresa makes it as affordable as possible.

The woman did not ask if it was a good time for me to talk but dove directly into how they don't take insurance and how she doesn't know how I heard about them. Well I would tell you if you asked lol. She immediately started rattling off prices ($250 cash for first appointment, $180 for future appointments, yadayadayada). I don't really care about the cost of my healthcare. I care about the quality. She was snappy and not at all interested in answering my questions. Despite the bad impression I decided to go ahead and make an appointment to find out if they can actually help me. Lo and behold while they can call you at 6 pm on a weeknight, they never book appointments past 2:30. Huh? Why are you calling me at 6:15 if you stop working at 2:30. So after all that I couldn't even make a late afternoon appointment. I guess I'll stick with my nurse practitioner for now.

Ok, you have to wait a little while.... but in my experience you have to wait at ANY doctors office. The girls at the front were absolutely lovely and so welcoming. They were prompt, informative, and professional while giving off a friendly vibe. The office is clean and staffed with healthcare professionals. There are fee's if you pay out of pocket without insurance. In California most services at PP are free if you meet the requirements- but that's ok. I don't mind supporting the cause. Anyways, don't let the other review discourage you :) this place is awesome! Thank you Morgan for being so kind.

For how nervous l was they made me feel as relaxed as a person with a huge fear of needles could be. It ended up not being nearly as bad as my brain thought it might be! Everyone was so wonderful from the front desk girl Morgan to my extremely friendly doctor (can't remember her name) to Kristine to the new girl who was training! Thanks so much !!!!!!

Thank God the…read moreever-vigilant local police found him, narced him, and he was taken to Novant Hosp. on 17th St. While there, he arrested (his heart stopped) twice, and thankfully responded to the defib. But he was clinically dead I believe. They treated him with whatever meds were necessary but instead of keeping him overnight for observation, they discharged him. He's homeless and was living in my car which had been impounded because of the DUI - and no one from the hospital contacted me. His ex-gf had to pick him up around 10:30 at night and he was barely able to stay conscious. I am eternally grateful they saved his life - don't get me wrong. But to discharge someone who's barely conscious, having just overdosed and suffered two cardiac episodes, drugged to the point of not even knowing where he was and at that hour of the night, with no notice to next of kin? Deplorable. On a less serious subject, I went to the same ER myself having accidently stabbed myself in the hand with a fork I had been using to tenderize a steak. Knowing I had not had a tetanus shot in 32 years and with a sudden pain and swelling in my jaw, I foolishly thought I might have contracted tetanus (a little knowledge is dangerous). The medical assistant who saw me diagnosed me with a swollen lymph gland - no tests and discharged with no prescription, though I DID get a tetanus booster. The swelling and pain got worse throughout the day and I went to one of those walk-in medical clinics. The doctor who saw me and to whom I described my less obvious symptoms, diagnosed me with Sialadenitis which is a blocked or infected salivary gland. No biggie, but it is very painful and if left untreated, can possibly lead to more permanent issues. Though there was no formal treatment like antibiotics, he recommended hot packs and eating sour candies. Worked like a charm. Now I have it on the other side of my jaw, but at least I know how to treat it. And that I don't have tetanus.

What I didn't anticipate is the level of professionalism I would receive in this clinic. Before I could even make an appointment, the owner spoke with me via telephone answering any questions I might have. A medical history questionnaire was sent to me and was reviewed by the owner, PA Sean Hensler. I actually kept a copy as it was the most extensive, thorough form I ever filled out from any medical professional. When I showed up to the clinic, Sean spent even more time with me, explaining the benefits of this therapy and again, answering any questions I might have had. The package I purchased consisted of 4 appointments that would boost my immune system, detoxify my liver and purify my blood with a perk of anti-aging benefits. A Vitamin C IV drip afterwards was a great enhancement of the benefits from the IV protocol. I don't know of anyone today who isn't concerned about keeping their immune systems strong and staying well in today's world. If you share this view, you will not be disappointed with the wide variety of treatments available to meet any health issues. They truly care about your needs so don't hesitate to try them.
