These girls are absolutely amazing! We had the pleasure of having Dana and T do our hair and make-up in my hotel room for my wedding a few weeks ago. We had travelled to NYC from the UK to get married so took quite a risk by not having a hair or make-up trial (unheard of in the UK). We put our trust in our wedding planner, these girls and their reputation...and I'm so glad we did! Our wedding planner put us in touch with Metrolook initially. They e-mailed me and put me at was instantly with their no pressure, but professional, informative and friendly communication. After reading their awesome reviews and following them in Instagram, we booked them for the morning of our wedding. They were absolutely fantastic! T did my hair (the bride) and my bridesmaid's. The finished looks were just perfect (and even remained unspoilt by the rain). T managed to incorporate a rather large diamanté slide I had bought with me into my hair too. My hair was just beautiful - like a work of art. The same could be said for our (me, my mum and bridesmaid) make-up (by Dana). We looked so glamorous yet natural and flawless! T and her staff were probably some of the easiest and more professional vendors to work with. I talked to T about what I was looking for and she was one of the few people that really just listened and I could totally tell that she was REALLY listening to what I was saying and what I was looking for. She is so dependable and so responsive and so easy to work with and so flexible that it was the easiest part of a stressful wedding planning season. The fact that she will always personally answer your emails and that she took the time to look at photos and discuss what might look good and what might not, and to try different things if i wasn't happy with the hair or the makeup was such a breath of fresh air. You can also trust her to give you her honest opinion. The people that she works with are equally amazing and talented and made me feel like I looked like a billion bucks. When there were some hiccups in anything small, she would personally go out of her way to apologize or to correct them. I hired Dana to do makeup for my wedding for me, my bridesmaids, and my new mother-in-law. She was absolutely fantastic! I am normally super uncomfortable getting my makeup done by someone else, but she made me feel relaxed, got me through the most difficult parts with ease(I am horrible at sitting still and not tearing up when someone puts eyeliner on my lower waterline...I just suck at it). She listened to the discombobulated vision I had for myself and made it a beautiful reality, better than I had pictured! I did not want to look "over-done" or too "bridal" and she did a wonderful job of highlighting my best features so I still looked like myself. She timed everything well, was very flexible, and worked around the needs of the hair stylist, photographer, and videographer. She also provided each of us with lip kits so that we could touch up our lip color as the night went on, which was really thoughtful and useful. One of my friends recently hired Dana to do her makeup for an important work function. She was absolutely thrilled with how her makeup turned out and couldn't recommend her highly enough. I normally don't wear much make-up, but I thought I needed to step it up for my engagement photos. I was a little nervous using a make-up artist since I was afraid of looking too "done-up," but I didn't need to worry, Dana was PERFECT. T is as good at it gets! I contacted her a few months back when I was in dire need of someone to do my hair for my brother's wedding. I am a black woman with natural, coarse hair -- so I needed someone who is familiar with the texture but could achieve a smooth look. I also needed her to do my mother's hair (also black and natural) and 3-year old daughter's hair (who is biracial) -- so she needed to handle multiple styles! Each time I emailed T, she responded within a few hours. T arrived early on the morning of my brother's wedding and did a superior job on all of us! I can not speak highly enough of T and Dana. My original makeup artist for my wedding canceled two weeks out and suggested that I contact T since they had worked together in the past. Though the situation was stressful, I have to say it was a blessing in disguise. I am a makeup novice so I didn't really know what to expect. My previous artist had done my makeup for my shower and I hadn't been that excited about it so I expected the same response... Enter T and oh-my-gosh did I feel gorgeous! Dana and T were AWESOME! I am so glad that they were recommended for on-location hair and makeup by my wedding planner. In what seemed like a never-ending quest for the ultimate stylist: professional, skilled, genuine and creative, I hit the hair lotto with T.!! Starting with an in-depth consultation, I relayed my hair journey with less than lovely weaves, T. listened patiently and ego-free (side note: I've been to a top 5th ave salon where the "top stylist" produced a less than impressive outcome). The day of our appointment, T. exceeded my wildest dreams with a seriously BEAUTIFUL weave! I've never EVER had a better experience from start to finish. Dana and T did my wedding hair and makeup and were absolutely wonderful. They are amazing at what they do. Both my hair and makeup were perfect! Everything still looked incredible 16 hours later after being out for hours in a heatwave. The makeup was flawless. I wanted a natural look and it was just beautiful. So many people complimented me on my makeup. I was astounded by how well it lasted during the heatwave. I wasn't sure what way I wanted my hair and T was very helpful and gave me some great options to chose from. I really loved the flowers in my hair that T decided to add on the day of my wedding. I got married in Central Park last week, and coming from out of state, finding a good makeup artist and hair stylist was a little tricky. The makeup artist at my first trial made my skin look cakey and I felt rushed. My friend told me her sister used Metro Look at her wedding, so I decided to give them a try. I'm so happy I did! My pictures look AMAZING and their team was very professional. Dana was able to cover my flaws without making me look too made-up, and the updo T did stayed in place all day without looking like it had a lot of product in it. They arrived early and were pleasant and easy to work with. My bridesmaids were happy as well, and one of them, who is getting married in September, has decided to use Metro Look. I generally don't wear much makeup and don't feel comfortable looking too "done-up" and was a little hesitant about finding a makeup artist and hair stylist that I could trust. Dana and T immediately eased all my fears: they are the epitome of professionals, good listeners, incredibly talented, and were quickly able to discern what look I was after. I want to specifically call out Dana for her amazing bridesmaid makeup for my best friend's wedding. She was easy to work with, asked me questions about my makeup preferences and how I typically do my makeup, listening to me at every turn. But she also had her own opinions on what she thought would look best (and I deferred to her in all cases!) The makeup looked great in person and in photos, lasted all day... even through thorough dance and sweat tests ;) My favorite was the little lip brush and lip color she gave us to keep with us throughout the wedding. Omg! What can I say about Dana and T. Cooper, in one word they were AWESOME. I was a wedding guest in NYC this past weeked and hired the due to do my hair and make up.
