I have been a patient with Metro Dental Eagan for over two decades. In that time I have had extensive dental work done. About two years ago I began to see a decline in customer service relating to long wait times and confusion with services being provided. Today I received a call to report to jury duty and thus, had to reschedule my cleaning appointment for tomorrow. I explained my situation and was told I could be rescheduled for August (its January 6th) but that I had to call to reschedule after my jury duty ended on the 16th and then perhaps I could get an earlier date. I asked about being placed on a cancellation list but that was not an option. I have always had good dentists through Metro Dental but am struggling with front office customer service. I needed assistance and did not receive it. Very disappointed. read more

Anyone else that has had their health go downhill after having PFM crowns done by Molly Henry should probably be tested for metal allergies. Because mine most assuredly did and she ignorantly ignored all of my symptoms that pointed directly to a severe metal allergy. I really wonder if she just didn't want to have to pay for the replacement crowns. You should really stay away from this individual. Also note that according to the records that were sent to me on my last visit there her clinical notes do not even come close to what actually transpired during that visit. Because I recorded it. I recommend everyone to record their interactions with any healthcare provider to protect themselves from the lies and lack of accountability. My family and I have been patients at Metro Dentalcare Eagan for years. They have been very kind and gentle with our 3 Kids. We've had the pleasure of seeing all the dentist and most all hygienist at this clinic. As they all vary slightly our experience is always positive and you can tell the staff really enjoy working together. I would recommend this clinic to anyone. read more

The hygienist do a good job, explaining anything of concern that they see clearly and are really friendly. The people who work at the front desk could be a bit more organized. On my first visit they forgot to hand me back my drivers license. My first two appointments had to be rescheduled due to unforeseen events. And my fourth appointment I had to reschedule, pushing my 6 month visit out an extra TWO months even though I had rescheduled it four months in advance. They are way over booked so don't expect to get in early. The wait list to get in if someone cancels their appointment is first come first served instead of working down a list. Occasionally they will hang up without saying goodbye, which I find rude, but I get it they are busy. They also don't give out little goodie bags, but on my third visit the hygienist gave me toothpaste and a toothbrush. read more

I've seen several dentists at the practice, and they were all good. However, dealing with the office manager and staff overshadows the whole experience, so I'll never return. For example, I tried to call them several times a day for three days and left voicemails. I couldn't get them to answer or return my call. Finally, I drove to the office and found three staff standing around talking while the phone was ringing. Another thing is they billed me for a filling 2x. When arguing, yes, actually arguing with the office manager, she insisted that it was for a different filling and insurance wouldn't pay it. I only received one filling and had the paperwork to prove it was paid. Finally, I had to go to the office with the documentation, and someone else from the staff agreed, and they stopped sending me bills. read more

I had an appointment set for December 2024 they called and said that day they closed the office for a staff meeting. They rescheduled it for May 2024, they called me and said they had to cancel due to the hygienists is on maternity leave. I ended up switching to a different practice. And when they hygientists leaves or the dentist they never inform you. I have had that happen to me 3 times. read more

Confused and unhappy. I've been going to this office for a few years now. I was there early January for a cracked tooth. A dentist fixed. Now six weeks later, the tooth cracked again and now I am being told I need a crown on that tooth and two others on my six month cleaning. How does treatment of a tooth change so quickly? This started really well. I have a TBI so I brought my wife in when I had a bad tooth. I was advised that many should be removed/root canals and then partial dentures. They said they could work it so the cost was affordable. We went ahead and had him start pulling. We did pay hundreds along the way and at last today I was to get my teeth. One problem. Saw this dentist as an emergency on a Sat. because of major gum and tooth discomfort. Nurse mentioned she couldn't see any cracks in my tooth looking at the X-ray and my tooth. Dr. came in and looked at my tooth and said she saw major fractures. She immediately recommended a root canal and then a crown. I waited until Monday when I could see my normal dentist. He couldn't find any cracks. It was determined the object I originally bit into when I thought I cracked my tooth had punctured my gum and that is where the damage was. Needless to say no root canal or crown was necessary and a minor procedure on my gums and some antibiotics cured me. I felt as though this office tried to take advantage of my pain. This was a recommendation from my insurance but never again!!! I will stick with my local dentist and appreciate his honesty!!! I also felt this office was very unclean. The glasses placed on me had splatter on the lenses and the light above used to exam my mouth had splatter. Pretty disgusting!!!!! read more

My son is there serving a mission for church and had tooth pain. He is fully covered under our insurance for all dental care up to a very high amount. The tooth pain ended up being a sinus infection not diagnosed by this facility However when there at the dentist they told him he needed NINE (9) filling and that it exceeded insurance limits by $1000.00 to be able to do all the fillings. He has never had bad teeth or needed that kind of work on his teeth. We found a good family practice dentist that took him in and checked. He only needed three fillings and all of them were done within the insurance amount without any issues. Metro Dentalcare Eagan did the cleaning and x-rays. That had to be redone by the family practice dentist because a lot of items were missed in the cleaning. They still sent a bill for $122.00 after they billed my insurance and said that the actual bill is $176.00 and in the same phone call told me that it was $146.00. They did not know why insurance would not pay the bill. I called my insurance and they said the bill had been paid I should not be receiving any bill from this company. This company and doctor at this location have proven to be dis-honest in every respect and seriously needs to be shut down. She is what makes dentist the the practice of dental work as a business look bad. Not to mention the extensive damage being done to tooth structure in un-needed work that could of effected my sons teeth for his entire life. WARNING!!! I WOULD NOT TRUST THIS PLACE FOR ANYTHING IF I WERE YOU THEY HAVE PROVEN THEIR LACK OF INTEGRITY AS A DENTIST AND DENTAL FACILITY. read more

I have been going here for a few years now. Now I am not going back. We have always had decent care, there has always been billing issues. Now I understand with every insurance company and plan being different, not all situations are cut and dry and we looked through that. This year, every tooth that Dr. Kohlsaat touched, turned into a root canal. And even one that he didn't touch. 3 root canals on what was to be 2 fillings. The one that Kohlsaat attempted himself, my face blew up like a balloon. No remediation. Just more bills and more pain. I am taking my dental work elsewhere. read more

I was very pleased with the care I received here. However, I was not made aware of their payment requirements, nor did anyone at this clinic go over any of their stringent "payment in full" requirements prior to having my bridge work completed. I figured with two insurances, my bill would be fully covered. I now have a bill for over $1000 and they want all their money right now. Their billing person has no customer service skills whatsoever. In fact, she seemed to enjoy telling me after the work was completed, before I left the clinic, with a huge shit-ass grin on her face, that I would be left with a substantial payment. Wow! So please beware before you have any work done with Metro Dentalcare of their financial requirements. OTher dental providers will set up a payment plan with you. Not these people! They threaten collection action if they do not receive "Payment in Full". read more

This place is really Awesome! Dr. Henry has been the absolute best while helping me work through as tough dental situation. She recommended a plan of care that was the best ... but due to circumstances she (or I) had no control over.. she had to help me come up with a different plan of care. She is always kind, compassionate, caring, and willing to educate on the next steps her recommendations and WHY she is recommending something. Also; her co-workers and staff are just as nice. I have been here 3 times in the last few weeks and every visit has been pleasant! My first visit was an "urgent" visit due to tooth sensitivity. I hadn't been to the dentist in longer than I'd like to admit and my tooth was bothering me. I worked with Dentist Molly Henry and her assistant (whose name I can't recall! Entirely my fault because I'm bad with names, but she was great!). They were super nice and made me feel better about finally venturing out to find a new dentist since my old hygienist left from the office I used to go to and I didn't care for the previous dentist. I scheduled a week later to bring my 2-year-old. Everyone was super nice even though he wasn't listening and I spent the first 10 minutes chasing him around the office. He cried during his quick check (no cleaning) and the same dentist reassured me it was normal (first time mom so I wasn't familiar with these types of visits). The 3rd time, I finally came in for my cleaning. Suzy was my hygienist and she was wonderful. VERY gentle with x-rays and fun to talk to. I saw the same dentist again and she remembered my sons name from the day before. She was super friendly, gentle and reassuring about my dental hygiene. I have NO fear of going back in 6 months and I have NO clue why they don't have more stars. read more
