My insurance says they are in network, call the office they say they are in network, but the scheduling keeps saying it's not and says it a day before the appt. Customer service not great. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Bjerke's since he started back in the Cedarville Mall in 1983. He was just out of dental school. He brought a new refreshing caring way to dentistry. I have moved around the cities a lot but I still drive to Eagan to see Dr. Bjerke. The entire office has been with him for a long period of time. I feel that if the employees stay that says a lot. I have had a lot of ups and downs and I feel he really tries to recommend options to give you a choice in the cost you have to spend. He never is pushy with any sales. Tells you what needs to be done, make recommendations and the decision is yours. After 40 years with Dr. Bjerke, when he retires it will be difficult to find a new dentist. His first office manager was great. She started out as a hygienist and then took the office manager position. She retired I was sad. I have been reading some of the other reviews. I see most of the reviews are complaints regarding the office manager that came on board about 10 years ago. I agree with their comments. She can be snarky, rude, unfriendly and in my opinion has an off putting personality. However, the dental staff and Dr. Bjerke are not like that at all. It is too bad that she is the first person people see. It doesn't do the office Justus. Any way a patient for 40 years overall I have been very please with the treatment I have received. read more

I have been going here for years - since I was little - on and off - they are neither outstanding nor are they the worst of the bunch - I am going to instead relate my experience with not being informed of costs before a procedure was performed - even though I asked - and subsequently receiving the exorbitant bill. I had received costs from another dentist for the same procedure, but since I know them better - decided to go back and have them do the work. I had my first cavity and a wisdom tooth to pull. I asked ahead of time what the cost was for the cavity / filling and the cost difference between the silver - i.e. what my insurance would cover - and the white which is what i wanted. They said they didn't know but "it wasn't much". So I'm thinking - not much is less than $100. I get the bill in the mail and almost fell out of my chair! The cost for the cavity was $310 - the dental ins only covers $80 of that - so that "not much" is actually around $200 - the cavity filling was in line with the other dentist's pricing, but the cost difference was 3x what is covered, so that should have definitely been disclosed when I asked. The tooth pulling - price by the first dentist - was $150 - the cost on my bill from the dentist I decided to go to instead - $275!! I called and inquired about the bill and asked if they would match the costs of the original dentist. They were very rude but said they would talk to the Dr. They called me back today and told me that it was their policy to not negotiate their prices. That was all - there is really no justification on why their prices are so much higher - just that they can basically charge whatever they want and they refuse to work with longtime clients on prices when they are apparently above the market price. So in closing - always get a summary of costs before you have dental work performed Check with multiple dentists AND just because you have been a past client doesn't mean they will treat you with respect. read more

Myself and my entire family have been seeing Dr. Bjerke for years. Not only is he extremely friendly, he is honest and thorough! I moved to Denver a few years ago and have now seen 3 dentists that have all said different things about my teeth (the work I need to get, cavities, etc.) and I always come back to him to verify. Of course, nothing has been wrong with them, and he says not to let anyone tell me otherwise. I just trust and appreciate him SO much and think if others are looking for someone good you will be in great hands here! read more

Extremely negative experience with this practice today. Weeks ago, I booked my husband his first appointment with this dentist. They told me they were taking new patients, but did not ask for any insurance information. Upon his arrival he was told that they are not taking new patients with our insurance and that they are trying to "get rid of those kinds of patients." Extremely rude, unprofessional and offensive behavior from a medical facility. read more

I am writing from the perspective of someone who has moved away and cannot find a dentist or staff as kind and positive as Dr. Bjerke and his staff. Everyone said hello to me as if they knew me. When I had a baby, the whole staff came out to the waiting room to see him. Who does that these days? Both Dr. Bjerke and his hygienist would always tell me they could tell I was working hard to take care of my teeth. And Dr. Bjerke was conservative in his care: he would tell me he was worried about a tooth but that we would wait and see what happened. He wasn't too conservative - just cautious. I have yet to find a staff or dentist as kind or caring since I moved. read more

Dr. Bjerke is fantastic but his receptionist is exceptionally rude. Terrible client service. She hung up on me when I called to cancel an appointment. No "thanks for calling and cancelling", no "have a great day." Just hung up. She was snarky and inconsiderate. I plan on finding a new dentist and bringing my business elsewhere. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Bjerke for over 10 years and he has gotten me out of many jams. He is competent, experienced and honest. I've seen many dentists and he is hands down the best. Not having insurance is huge and he does his best to keep the procedures down to save me money. read more

I have gone to them for years and the last couple visits I was very displeased with, I will no longer take my family here. My son and his father went in both had a lot of work done we were not told the cost and for about 6 months never got a bill. I then assumed that the insurance covered everything. My children then went in again 6 months later and about a month after that we received a bill for almost $1000. Apparently there were charges from the previous visit and they never told me. So I called and I tried to explain that I can't pay that much money at one time they only offered me a credit service that would have only cost me more money and I likely would not qualify because my income is not consistent. I started paying them whatever money I could each month, but then i notice they start charging me a monthly late fee. I had no Idea I was going to owe anything they were not up front about the cost or we would not have racked up charges we could not afford, and for them to charge me a late fee every month after coming there for years, is really inappropriate. Particularly, because they also surprised me with the bill 6 months after the initial visit. read more
