Jodi on the front desk staff has been rude, cold, and passive aggressive. Jodi gets very defensive and blunt when I would verify my billing questions with her. The billing situation is bad, they add credit card fees, steep no show fees inside of 48 hours, and don't work with you on bills. Jodi is always incredibly passive aggressive that I did not partake in their text reminders, because when I did I was bombarded with text blasts. I strongly suggest that anyone who goes here double check every line of their bill. When I asked to speak directly with the dentist about my concerns, Jodi brushed me off and refused to connect me, which made the whole experience even more frustrating. With a standing disagreement on one bill, and the inability to speak directly to the owner of the business, they dropped me as a patient within less than a month of being seen. Also if you're a parent you should know they take pictures of all the kids that go to their practice and post them for anybody to see, I feel as though that is not a safe practice for the local neighborhood. The whole experience still leaves me feeling taken advantage of and completely disrespected. I would never recommend this place to anyone if they have to talk to Jodi. If you care about being treated decently and not getting nickel and dimed for everything, stay away from Brimhall Dentistry.

Also, we have tranferred to another dentist after several years with this office, due to them telling us we could not make any more appointments because I had to reschedule a few due to school obligations, even though we gave notice. It's our fault we had to cancel, but their hours are limited and not very compatible with school or work hours.

I went in for a routine exam/cleaning and found I had two cavities. They were able to get them filled in that appointment and took scans for retainers so my teeth don't shift (sorry, mom, the dog ate mine from grade school). All in the same appointment! Every staff member I interacted with was warm and pleasant. Special shout out to Paige for her exceptional care and consideration. She was sure to explain everything that was happening or going to happen throughout the entire appointment. Truly a top notch dental assistant! Dr. Christoper Coulter was wonderful as well and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process and took special measures to ensure maximum comfort and satisfaction during a dreaded process. Monika was the dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth and she also took special measures to ensure I understood what she was looking for and how the process was going to work. Overall, no one really enjoys going to the dentist, but this place is top notch. By far the best dental clinic I have ever been to. First of all I had to wait quite awhile to be seen and that used to be pretty rare. They couldn't find my dental and health records including meds I take and they had them. I had seen another dentist 6 months earlier who had sent over their records and Schara Dentistry wanted me to contact the other dentist to get gum measurements so I was all ready to do that (to my surprise) and right before I walked out the door they found them. They also told me I was going to have to pay out of pocket for the cleaning because my insurance only covered the 2 cleanings I had during the year (which is fine) but they were going to let me leave without paying until I mentioned it and then they insisted that I pay immediately. The person who checked me out was very slow and wasted a lot of time and didn't communicate with me so I was just standing there waiting and waiting, wondering what was going on. The new hygienist made me hold the suction hose through the whole cleaning which I've never had to do at any dentist before. They normally just hook it over the edge of your mouth and let it hang -- it was odd. Aside from the standard lecture that I don't brush properly she was fine.

Scheduled an initial intake at the Lakeville location and things went smoothly. Met with Dr. Molldrem and he was keen on everyone getting 'paid what they were owed' in the context of my insurance lowballing him. Mind you, the staff drive luxury SUVs and they have TWO locations. Several MONTHS later I have my teeth cleaning and not only could they not accommodate my allergies, they never had the intent to. Furthermore, they refused to coordinate care between me and my Medical Doctor to figure out appropriate treatment based on my Dr.'s medical orders. I asked politely to receive updates within the week regarding sussing out my treatment plan and they told me to get lost. I asked for recommendations on who else to go to if they couldn't get the job done and they told me to check with my insurance (HAH!). So here I am without any of the treatments they had agreed to help me work through. I called to file a complaint and the Eden Prairie location told me that this all had 'nothing to do with their professionalism' and that 'if I was unhappy with my care I could always find someone else'. I called the office to see what they could do. They said I would have to pay for it all over again and laughed at me telling me there is no warranty on crowns. This was after the office people talked to Dr. Molldrem and called me back. I already got one redone and have to do the other soon. I have to pay for the crowns twice! UPDATE because I almost forgot about the random $1,000 bill i got after i thought I was all paid up because, for (1) they messed up the insurance calculation on the crowns and for (2) they couldn't figure my insurance out for the teeth cleaning (which I had) that could have been resolved had THEY not waited so long.

Dr. Franco put a crown on an upper back tooth. I had pain that did not resolve so I returned to…read moreher and she made an adjustment. She said if I continued having pain to return in a couple of months. It was clear that same day that the problem was not resolved. I didn't want to wait a couple months so I found a different dentist. He made 4 adjustments over the period of a year, and I continued to have pain. Finally, he said he needed to remove the crown to see what was going on. It turned out that Dr. Franco had left decay under the crown. The tooth was very irritated so he put a temporary on with the hope it would quiet down. It did not. Ultimately, he had to pull it. I wrote to Dr Franco and asked her to return the money that I had paid for the crown, and to pay to replace the tooth. She returned the money for the crown, but she did not pay to replace the tooth. The letter she sent with the refund said "as a courtesy" she was refunding the money. No apology, no acknowledgment of the decay she left under the crown, and no acknowledgment that I lost the tooth.
