The salesman, Derek, is highly professional and thorough, and helped with everything incl. insurance guidance, etc. Since the issue was not an 'Act of God' according to insurance standards, they would not cover repairs. [Failing/collapsing stucco]. To say TKB went above and beyond to orchestrate repairs is a gross understatement. Their professionalism (all of them), support, timeline, immaculate job site, care for grandma's peonies :0) everything was far above expectations. I cannot stop bragging about them! For such a catastrophic situation with our home, we can now rejoice in rain and snow, in a home that looks brand new. Read their background and mission statement. I was promised a completion date and when it came time found out they had not measured buildings and ordered materials. They painted a roof vent and tried to bill for replacement. Roofing contractor cut roof vent and said it was my problem and I had to get a plumber. After shed roof was replace asked the project manager if he checked there work. He said "I checked their work". So I asked if he saw 25% of the Roofing screws that they missed. He replied " I did not go inside." My wife watched him drive in the yard that day pull in, not close to the shed. Briefly sat there and left. Did not get out to look. If you value your time, money, and quality of work this is not a contractor for you.

If you have had siding installed from Elk River Exteriors beware. You may have been told there is…read morea warranty on it. They do not warranty due to their faulty installation. This is a complaint for siding issue that I filed with the installer July 28th of 2022 for what are called nail pops on my siding. They are visible on three sides of the house. East, West, and South. No nail pops on the North side of the house. When I contacted the installer, they told me that I needed to file a warranty claim against the maker of the siding. (I also sent Elk River exterior photos of the siding.) Elk River Exterior claimed it was a problem with the siding. So I filled out a warranty form and sent pictures to the manufacturer (PLY GEM). Also the owner of Elk River Exterior came and took pictures of the problem and sent to Ply Gem. After much time of going back and forth with the manufacture (Ply Gem) and the Installer (Elk River Exteriors), the manufacture of the siding (Ply Gem) finally sent a Technical Service Representative to inspect the siding in April. His response to the (Nail Pops) was found to be the direct result of improper installation techniques or practices. Some of the discrepancies noted but not limited to include *Nailing at end of nail slots *Nails protruding * Nails from nail hem causing heat buildup/water retention between the panel and fastener. * Nailed to tight, nails at opposite ends of nails, and /or panels that were not given proper clearance to expand as temperatures varied. Ply Gem encouraged us to contact the company that installed siding. But Elk River Exteriors still insist that it is a manufacturing issue with the siding and as of June 19th, 2023 I received a voicemail from the Owner of Elk River Exterior that they will not be correcting the issue.

I would not recommend Your Home Improvement Company to anyone. For us it was a long, drawn out…read morepainful experience. It was a poor decision we have regretted deeply. They have questionable business practices, do not follow through with what they promise, and are badly overpriced. They advertise at Events for Seniors, hoping we might be more vulnerable to their sales tactics. They demand 90% down before they will even begin the project (50% down when you sign, 40% before they will come out to begin the project.) We were unaware of that. Most construction companies ask for 50% down and the remainder when the work is completed or in process. We could not reference the contract because they did not leave us with one. You have to sign on a little tablet, which didn't work well, with nothing to see in writing. We were promised a written copy of the contract the next day, but we did not receive one for over a month, despite numerous promises. We tried to cancel because we felt misled, but they refused us any refund, in spite of the fact they had not started any work in our home nor delivered any supplies. They would keep our money (50%) and all of their products (even though the contract states we should be refunded for unused products.) They are all about protecting themselves, not you. Did I mention their office communications were dismal. They could not even get our name corrected in their system. One thing I can say for them, their salesmen are good, too good. We have never fallen prey to a charming salesman before. But he spent time becoming our "friend" and gaining our trust. After three hours of their sales brainwashing we signed without sleeping on it overnight, which went against our lifetime practice. In the end, we decided we had to go through with it and reluctantly prepaid the full 90%. The only good news is the installer they sent was stellar. Zachary was excellent. (Bizarrely he came in a business van with a different company's name and phone number on it! ) He worked hard for three days and knew what he was doing. Zach was the one and only redeeming part in our bad experience with Your Home Improvement.

And I told them it was also the chalking around the bottom of the shower. Also the floor of the shower is very slippery and the seat you can hardly sit it. It is not safe. Can't get hold of them.
