Steve Kelley seemed confident in be able to accomplish this job no problem in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. Sounds perfect, right? Wrong. Team Kelly not ONLY did the worst tiling job I've ever seen and completely disregarded any standard practices when tiling. These tiles were crooked, not to mention they did NOT use a waterproof line before tiling, used NO Schluter trim, and they only did about 1/4 of our shower tiles and called it quits. Kelly assured me he'd make it right and refund me for the job which I didn't expect, but appreciated. Kelly NEVER came to see me at the agreed time for a refund... instead caused a whole spew of issues to make it so we were unable to contact him again. We had to pay for the job and wasted materials again, but the bathroom looks amazing now and has been done properly with our new company. Photos to compare Kelley's job with the new proper job. Do NOT hire these scam artists. Highly unprofessional! **Updated for review since Stephen Kelly has added a comment with dishonest information. Stephen: I know you go to wild lengths to avoid taking accountability for your actions, but lying on the name of other people is not needed. I am one of the residents in that home who dealt with you directly. You offered us a full refund to begin with and then continued to bail on us. After calling you approximately 6 times (remember, I had to present phone records at court for this one sir) you continued to place a total BS restraining order on my partner which contained a huge amount of both lies and SLANDER against my partner and MY business. This is why your order was thrown out without you even getting a chance to speak for yourself in court that day. I know being the owner of such a shabby business is embarrassing, but I will continue to stick up for myself to avoid you having ANY opportunity to screw more people over because you're incompetent. You might as well rename your business under a new DBA because I refuse to back down and let people like you negatively impact the lives of people of who don't deserve that. You should be lucky we didn't come for triple damages against you which we easily could have under NH statutes. Keep this up and you will be hearing from our lawyers once again and you're not gonna like what they have to say. Remember: there is 1 year left on the time limit I have to pursue a case against you. Tread lightly.

The first phase: a full gut of our house built in 1900. Removing walls, adding/moving bathrooms, leveling floors, replacement windows throughout, and rebuilding the staircase. Our home is now a modern wonder and we love it. The second phase was to restore the front porch to look similar to its original look, re-side the whole house, and add corbels to the roof-line. It looks beautiful and is a definite statement and conversation starter for our neighborhood! The final phase was removing the lead paint on a built-in cabinet so we could refinish it. Not only was it sanded down to the beautiful wood but they were able to find the hardware had amazing details in them! TJO kept on schedule, stayed in constant communication, and came in on budget. TJO Contracting was exactly what we needed! We give Tim and TJO our highest recommendation to anyone looking for a general contractor!

When it was time for us to do a major renovation, we invited them to give us a quote with other contractors. We ultimately chose them, although they were not the lowest quote. We chose to leave our home during construction to give them freedom to do their thing. Not only did Paul work quickly and efficiently, but during the job, he called frequently to keep me updated, and he came up with ideas to make the space more usable and modern. Rather than keep 2 old fashioned pantries, he had an idea to pull off the doors and order cabinet frames and doors and extend the kitchen into the hallway. He pulled out the insides and reengineered them to our custom specs. The result was that for minimal cost (hundreds of dollars) we got much more functionality and efficiency. We ended up adding to the kitchen and dining room job. What did we add? We removed popcorn ceiling, painted hallways and stairwell, painted master bath and bedroom, redid two upstairs bathrooms and more. We came home to a new house in April 2021 just as covid is (hopefully) winding down. What a gift Paul is. I'm happy to show the work that Paul and his crew did. He employs the best subcontractors and partners with them to ensure they are working together well. You can't go wrong with Paul and Barrowclough. Paul is a master carpenter.

Our project included a new roof, siding and all new windows. Tom delivered our detailed quote within a week or so. Our project started mid July 2018 and was completed last week. We were informed by Tom that the foreman, Paul Newman and crew would arrive at 7:00 am on a Monday morning, which did happen. Going forward Paul was in communication with us daily informing us of the next days schedule. All coordinating of product delivery, plumber, electrician, plasterer were under his supervision. There were no delays even with the August extreme heat. The crew of 3 were courteous and worked consistently through out the day. All materials were cleaned up at the end of the day. We requested some additional projects and the crew all worked together and made it happen. This included painting all the new window trim and a few rooms and ceilings. What impressed us the most, beside the quality of work, was that the Barrowclough team took our project and ran with it while consulting with us if needed. We would rate our experience as 5 stars and will use Tom Barrowclough for our next home project. Pat and John Dunn
