"Mario and his team are as good as they come. We bought our first home over a year ago and like…read moremost people starting out, our limited funds and experience made us fear all the horror stories you hear about costs doubling, disaster projects dragging on, etc. Having called several companies to compare, Mario stood out from the start and he's been our go-to for everything since. Mario took our visions (some of them pretty unusual) for our total remodel and took the time to figure out how to make them happen. He humored our many clueless requests and plan-changes along the way and always figured out how to work them in, always keeping the costs clear and fairly balanced. Mario and his team are always a joy to work with, as talented professionals and as people. Even during the demolition stage of our gut reno, the space was always cleaned up at the end of each day, they called ahead if plans needed to shift, and updates on the project were always communicated clearly and without delay. Mario is the kind of person you feel really glad to have in your community. He takes the time to explain how something works (even if it's so you can do it yourself if you're stubborn like we are). He offers to lend a tool if you don't have it. During the crazy floods last year my husband was out of town and Mario called to check in and make sure I had what I needed. I can't imagine a better contractor to work with. We're on our next big project, and feel blessed as always to be working with Mario." - Sabrina (Somerville)

Henrique and his team did a great job reframing and refinishing the sunroom on my newly purchased…read morehouse. The walls and floors had bad rotting and damage due to the previous owners' neglect. Henrique and his fixed the damage, made the room much more weatherproof, and made the inside far far nicer than it was before. Henrique also had great suggestions on how to improve, rather than just repair. My wife and I are extremely happy with how everything turned out.

Brutal experience with them back in 2022-2024. Would take weeks and, more than once, even months…read moreto get them to come back and do any work (see screenshots of my text interactions with them -- note the dates). They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.

I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat. We needed a major (and expensive) remodel. Ugly attic…read moreneeded to become a bedroom and master bath. Small bedroom needed to become a laundry room, storage room and larger than average stairs to the attic (removing completely the pull-down access in the corridor). On top of that, the unheated porch has been remodeled as a heated, insulated office space with direct access to the now-master suite. As part of the process, we needed to make modifications to the second bedroom and bathroom to accommodate plumbing for the former attic. I was nervous about such a large project. Jeff assured me that the increase in the house value and home comfort would be well worth it. He was right. He and Lenny (who is a master craftsman) either did the work themselves, or hired the right subcontractors to complete the work not only IN budget, but ON time, and with amazing skill and consideration. That included needing to unexpectedly replace the front door, adding insulation to unexpected places, and shifting an existing heat source to the now-office. Lenny and Jeff worked with me to create a layout that worked well for us as well as economizing and maximizing project effectiveness. As problems arose (as they always will), they worked with me to solve them and move quickly to the next step. I initially gave them a chance because my neighbor across the street told me that they had done an excellent job on her basement. As time goes by, I will definitely be calling on these guys first. With so many "contractor horror stories"out there, I am really happy to honestly say that I trusted them with my house and I would recommend them without reservation to friends, family, coworkers or the guy down the street. All in - 10 weeks, about 70k. Very happy with the results.

The crew working on the job showed arrived early each day, very polite and always ensured that the area was cleaned up every night before they finished up. Very high quality workmanship skills and I would definitely recommend them to Family and Friends. We were very happy with the total job and I would hire them again for other work, if needed. It's rare to find a company like this these days when so many contractors don't even return calls. Great customer service and workmanship!
