They were good, too, and the wonderful ambulance people took me straight to my room. My experience at big Baptist was amazing apart from the fact that I felt like crap. My nurse, Pri, and her student nurse, Taylor, went above and beyond what they were required to do. Dr. Kuperman was the best doctor I think I have ever seen in the hospital. Jeremiah and Denic were good nurses, too. The food was good. The service in all areas was good. I truly believe some major changes have been made at Baptist. I was impressed, and I really wanted other folks to know also.

It seemed like they didn't communicate well with each other, leading to rounds at all hours without much consideration for patient comfort. This inconsistency was frustrating and affected the overall experience. **Nursing Staff:** On a brighter note, the nursing staff was outstanding. I had several nurses who truly stood out, including Pam, Monica, Sam, Jada, and Michelle. Their dedication was evident, and they made a significant difference in my care. Even the trainee, Autumn, impressed me with her professionalism and attentiveness. While there were a couple of nurses who didn't meet my expectations, the majority were exceptional and really made my stay more bearable. **Housekeeping:** Housekeeping services were also commendable, particularly when Michelle was on duty. Her work ethic and attention to detail were evident, and I believe she deserves recognition, possibly even a promotion, to help train others in the department. **Dining Services:** Dining services, however, left much to be desired. Although the manager, Camille, made efforts to address issues, it felt like some staff viewed their roles merely as jobs rather than a calling. That said, one staff member, Nisha, stood out for her commitment to customer service. She went above and beyond to meet my requests with a genuine smile. **Patient Care Assistants:** I must also highlight the amazing PCAs, Kierra and Jasmine. Their passion for their work was palpable, and their interactions with patients were warm and caring. In summary, Baptist Hospital Memphis has a lot of potential, especially with its dedicated nursing and housekeeping staff. However, improvements in doctor collaboration and dining services could enhance the overall patient experience. If the hospital focuses on these areas, it could significantly elevate the quality of care provided.

I informed the woman that I had a terrible rash on my eye and my forehead, and it was hurting. I explained to the young lady that I was from out of town and on vacation . She asked me if I had Insurance and I said yes, and I gave her my insurance card and my ID.. within minutes Especially the nurse asked me to step inside to get my vitals. She asked me what was going on, and I explain to her it was an irritation that had been bothering me for a few days and I feel that I need to see a doctor because it doesn't feel normal. The nurse said a doctor would be in to see me momentarily. Within five minutes. Doctor came and spoke with me. Very kindly the doctor asked me to explain to him what was going on as I pointed to my forehead. He immediately said I know your symptoms follow me. I walked to the other area with the doctor and he explained to me what my condition was. It wasn't long before the attending physician came and gave his synopsis. Very quickly and with care the two doctors explained to me what my condition was and how it worked and then explain that the medication I would receive would be for pain and infection. With all of that being said, the young doctors care and attitude and mindset was just so remarkably amazing. The staff the cleanliness I would give this hospital an A + immediately, and I would advise anyone that is visiting the Bartlett community in Memphis, Tennessee had an emergency or had to be hospitalized to visit this care center. Doctor on staff who assisted in my care name is Dr.Cardwell. An amazing physician, caring person and beautiful soul.

However, I decided I wanted to be surrounded by professionals with expertise in both baby and mom care, and I'm so glad I chose Baptist. Arrival & First Impressions: When I arrived, I wasn't sure if I was in active labor or not, but I quickly learned I was. After being checked, I was immediately moved into a labor and delivery room. My first nurse, Paige, was incredibly encouraging. She reassured me that I could deliver without an epidural, especially since I was already 5cm dilated and not in much pain. Nurse Transition: Paige let me know her shift was ending and introduced me to the nurses who would take over. By this point, I was 8cm dilated, and the new team--Lisa (Charge Nurse), Sierra (RN), Lindsey (Unit Manager), and Dr. Owens--made me feel confident and supported. I didn't experience pain until they had to break my water at 9cm. Delivery: Dr. Owens and her team delivered my baby. I labored for 6 hours, and after 3 pushes, my baby was born. They were very clear with instructions, guiding me through the process by counting and telling me when to push. My husband was able to cut the umbilical cord, and they immediately placed my baby on me for skin-to-skin. I was also able to opt out of having my baby bathed right away, which meant a lot to me. Post-Delivery Care: After birth, I was transferred to a new room and introduced to my new nurses and lactation specialist. Kacee, the lactation consultant, was fantastic in helping me get the baby to latch, and Amy, the nurse, assisted me when Kacee wasn't available. I also want to give a shoutout to the other nurses during shift changes--Dakeila, Lanitra (who provided amazing resources and support, especially after my baby had to go to the NICU), and Patient Care Assistants Denita and Hieu. NICU Care: My baby had some low oxygen levels after feeding, so the nurses transferred her to the NICU. Heidi, the nurse, was wonderful and made my husband and I feel at ease during a stressful time. Her empathy and positive energy helped us through a scary situation. Follow-up: We were discharged after three days, and the doctors called us after two days at home to check in and make sure we had everything we needed for our baby, while also ensuring I was recovering well. Overall, my experience at Baptist was incredibly positive. While I know every nurse and situation is different, each of the nurses I interacted with made me feel comfortable and never like a burden, even when I had many questions. I am truly grateful for the care we received, and I hope that all families receive the same level of care that I did. It took away all of my fears and anxieties about delivering in a hospital. Thank you, Baptist!

Recently, a family member was admitted, so now I'm part of the journey that most never even want to imagine could happen to them. In the midst of the grief and anxiety, I've learned many things, most of which will go unreported in this review. For yelp purposes, I'll note: 1.) I never have met so many compassionate and competent people in one day, and I visit medical-care settings as a regular part of my work. The chief example is the surgeon who spent more than one hour with my family in a post-surgery consult. Who does that? Most procedures for family, I'm lucky if I get a phone call that lasts up to sixty seconds. The kindness extends all the way to cafeteria workers and valet-parking attendants. 2.) It's really true that the family does not receive a bill. Sure, the hospital will pursue every insurance reimbursement possibility. But, in the end, the family will owe $0. If we could make this happen for every life-changing medical crisis in our nation, I can't help but believe there would be so much less grief, and so much more energy released for healing and productivity. 3.) As I've shared our story, I've found many people in communities near and far support St. Jude with regular donations or special fundraisers. From the grandfather of current patient, please know how impressed I am by the breadth and depth of support. Those of you who support SJCRH are doing a great service to children from near and far. Thank you!

Well, it only took a couple hours for her to get to Saint Francis so that can't be an emergency when she is right across the street at signature nursing home. going forward calling the main number to get to her room ., One person told me that my mom was gonna be in room 556. This was April. third 2026. No wonder no one answered the phone because she was not in that room. Someone says she was in room 650 the day she was leaving. I said why didn't someone say what room she was in and letting me think she was in one room. But this is not my major concern. A couple of the nurses were very helpful but the first nurse I encounter was Miss Tiffany and and she could not find my POA or file from the nursing home and had to get the supervisor to find it. She has no idea where to look.., going for my bomb head come in for lethargic, dehydration, low potassium. Her troponin numbers were high. Several days they did get her into a room, which is where I first talked to Tiffany and then I talked to Brandon and Brandon was very nice. He did not give me all the attitude that I got from Miss Tiffany. But what concern me was they released her and the nurse that I talked to that day I think her name was Shayna. I'm not really sure, I never got the correct name because nobody wants to tell you their name. But that can all be looked up for the time she was there and she was on the either the fifth floor or the sixth floor her name is Eleanor Brunetti my mom. I asked them did they do a urinalysis and they said they did and they felt that she was OK and all her numbers look good. I even asked twice about the urinalysis. Did everything look good and not normal .,I was concerned about her going home to the Nursing signature healthcare. Did not want to come back to this place that drops the ball twice.. now my mom came back for a couple days and she was still confused not going to the bathroom regular, nobody said anything about an assessment or medication. Turns out my mom my mom had a lingering UTI that no one picked up on until April 9. So how many days has my mom had a UTI probably about seven or longer?., now she has to have seven shots to get this under control. she would not have had to go under this strong anabiotic if somebody would have done their job. I know all about the labs and how long it takes to get information back. So I don't want to hear any excuse of why she did not get the results a lot sooner and you let her go home.. I honestly never want her to come back to your hospital not even in an emergency situation. You have shown me twice how you operate and you can make all the excuses you want, but I have seen it twice in five months.., now, if you'd like to reach out to me, I will be glad to discuss this whole matter with you and find out what really happened., Sandy Stevens I am sure they are good people that work at your hospital and doctors but not one doctor ever called me back one doctor did talk to my brother, but I specifically asked for them to call me since I was the power of attorney and no one ever did in four days. Can you explain that one to me. I see you have very low ratings and I don't see them getting any better. Please stop putting peoples help in jeopardy and do your job.
