Adam, the owner of Sway, offered top-notch customer service, responding quickly to our many questions. An added bonus was that Sway provided an employee, Ishaan, to be onsite to assist with the setup and kickoff, ensuring a smooth and stress-free start to our event. However, I do know the struggles of setting up an entire picnic on your own (I did it two years ago for her birthday) and all the stress associated with it. Our picnic and Co made it so EASY and it was so beautiful! I scheduled it for 11:00 (the set up was ready by 9:45 as I had asked if I could drop food off) and it was held at Lindley Meadow in Golden Gate Park. I didn't end up leaving any of my food/items at the picnic place (as I had to leave to pick up my friend to surprise her!) as the picnic was unattended - and you know ever know with this city - so I ended up taking my things back with me to the car. My friend loved the set up - and so did so many strangers!! We got so many compliments on the set up that someone passing by told us that she should take a photo for us and she did! 10/10 amazing! I loved it. Our Picnic was so easy to work with and created an amazing experience - stress free!

We reached out two days before our event to request balloon decorations for a birthday party, and…read morethe booking process was incredibly easy. We called to check their availability, and they directed us to fill out the contact form on their website. We submitted it, and they got back to us the next day to review the details. After that, they sent a proposal by email, which was simple to update, and once we approved everything, we made the payment. On the day of the event, the only hiccup was timing. We told them that setup was scheduled for 3:30pm and the party would start at 5pm. When we didn't see them for a while, we tried calling but didn't get a response. They didn't arrive until around 4:40-4:45pm, which was much later than we expected. They mentioned they thought 3:30pm was just the earliest they could arrive, but we actually needed them there at 3:30pm. Thankfully, once they arrived, the setup was quick, efficient, and they finished in no time. The balloon arrangements themselves were absolutely stunning. We received so many compliments, and they completely transformed the space. They understood the aesthetic we were going for and executed it perfectly. Despite the timing miscommunication, I would still use them again because their customer service was great throughout the planning process, everything was easy to coordinate, and their work was beautiful. With clearer communication on arrival times next time, it would easily be a 5-star experience.

From the moment we started working together, they made us feel completely supported & by the time our wedding day arrived, I truly couldn't imagine doing it without them. I had a long engagement, which meant I had *a lot* of ideas & questions. Not once did Jackie make me feel like any detail was too small or insignificant. Every vision, every little idea, & every tiny detail we discussed was brought to life so beautifully. Our wedding day flew by in the blink of an eye, but every time I caught a glimpse of something we'd planned together, it was exactly as we had imagined - & often even better! One of the greatest gifts Jackie & Cookie gave us was the ability to actually enjoy our wedding day. While we spent the morning surrounded by our family & wedding party, they transformed our venue from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception to dancing. Walking into each space throughout the day was magical, & knowing we never had to worry about a single setup detail was priceless. Jackie also kept the entire day running so smoothly. She led our rehearsal so everyone knew exactly where to be & when, created & coordinated our timeline, answered vendor questions, adjusted plans as needed throughout the day, & somehow made everything look effortless. She checked in with the wedding party - including making sure the groomsmen were all set - & kept everything moving without ever making the day feel rushed. On a more personal note, Jackie & Cookie were there for so many little moments that meant the world to me. They fluffed my dress before I walked down the aisle, & Cookie came to the rescue more than once when my veil & dress seemed to have minds of their own! Those are the moments you don't necessarily think about when hiring a planner, but they made me feel so cared for & allowed me to stay present instead of stressing about the little things. There are countless moving pieces that go into planning a wedding, & having Jackie overseeing every detail gave us complete peace of mind. She has an incredible eye for detail & thinks of everything before you even realize it needs to be done. Because of her & Cookie, we were able to soak in every moment of our wedding instead of worrying about logistics. Jackie & Cookie, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! Thank you for your kindness, your calm presence, your incredible organization, your endless hard work, & for making our dream wedding come to life. We are so grateful for everything you did for us & will always look back on our day with so much joy because of you both. We cannot recommend you highly enough!!

We LOVED working with Jackie and Cookie of AboutJoy. If we could, we would give them a 10 out of 5…read morestar rating for how much they went above and beyond for us. Even before we officially hired her, Jackie was acting like our wedding planner, and immediately began throwing out ideas that showcased our main focus for our wedding (delicious food and a beautiful outdoor venue). We could tell right from our first call that Jackie was truly excited about our vision and "got it." From there, Jackie was a true creative/collaborative partner, and helped make our special day a reality. Jackie brought a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to our planning - while she was always encouraging of our vision and would find a way to make my crazy ideas possible, she also was quick to offer a reality check based on her extensive experience (ex: she very smartly and politely informed us that using scented candles at our reception - while trendy - would likely summon bees and might get overwhelming given all the other floral scents in the garden reception area). We almost exclusively used vendors from Jackie's recommended list and each and every one did an absolutely stellar job. Jackie also did a phenomenal job of working with our outside vendors, and was even able to use her extensive professional network to solicit feedback on vendors we used outside of her list. She made the wedding process seamless and significantly less stressful than if we planned it ourselves, which allowed us to truly enjoy our wedding weekend and be present with our family and friends - if anything went wrong on our big day, we had no clue because About Joy had it handled! Once we had finalized all the major items with Jackie, Cookie worked closely with us to pull together details that added a very special touch to our wedding. She custom designed and drew our wedding signage, table numbers and menus to showcase our unique tastes and personalities. We had an outdoor venue and wanted to incorporate the plant life from the venue in our wedding materials, and Cookie drew 12 separate menu covers and table numbers that highlighted this plant life, and then hid custom sketches of our dog into each table number to bring in one of the important pieces of our life to our wedding - we love the designs so much they're going to be framed and put up in our home! Along the design journey, Cookie brought us along and solicited feedback, always taking our garbled thoughts and seamlessly translating them into a beautiful end product. She also brought so many unique ideas and suggestions to the table, including turning our escort table into a "meadow" and hiding our dog in the signage. It's clear that Cookie is passionate about design and her excitement for our wedding specifically really helped sustain our momentum in the final months leading up to the big day. Jackie and Cookie were truly dream wedding planners, and were lucky to say that they're now friends for life. Would 100% recommend hiring Jackie and Cookie from AboutJoy for your wedding.

Planning a wedding is a lot of work and both my hubby aren't super type A so we wanted a team that could handle most of the work for us. We found this venue 7 months before we got married and there were barely any Friday and Saturdays left, showing how popular this venue is. We selected the Wedgewood premier package and were happy with most of the vendors. One thing I'd like to point out is there are couple things that are not included in the all inclusive price that we thought were inclusive which is not a big deal but it's nice to know up front to better plan / budget. The items that were not included were most flower items, photographer. We also had to make our own guest book, welcome sign, bar sign. My hubby and I found these homework assignments brought us closer together as we still got to participate and make things for our wedding but not as much if we were to plan the whole thing ourselves. One fun thing that we did was having lion dancers enter into the reception with us. We got a 20% discount through Wedgewood. Guests thought that was dope. We weren't really overwhelmed during the planning process at all so that was nice! Overall, we received positive feedback from our guests regarding the wedding! Thanks Jame :)
