Jayda and Nick are godsends! We have a boisterous and energetic Blue-Nose Pit that needed some help with understanding boundaries. Nick and Jayda assessed Lila on our first session, communicated their assessment in terms that were easily understood, and set about a training schedule that focused on teaching Lila (and her handlers) how to channel her energy into positive and enjoyable behavior. The tools that Nick and Jayda provided us were immediate and impactful. Within a few sessions, Lila was a different dog - and a much happier dog, as we learned how to mitigate her anxiety of being a "working dog" without any guidance. My wife and I cannot convey the difference that it has made in our lives, nor the quality of life for Lila. We cannot recommend Nick and Jayda properly, as words cannot describe the transformation our lovely Lila has made, also bringing US some needed relief in OUR anxiety over trying to curb Lila's "enthusiasm." Thank you for everything, Jayda and Nick! We were so fortunate to meet you and have you take the time to help us learn how to give Lila the best quality of life through the tools you taught us apply to Lila.

Hiring Nick as a trainer was the greatest decision I made for my dog, Hercules. I was struggling with my 2 yo Australian Shepherd with severe reactivity with other dogs, to the point where I could not take him on a walk alone. Nick immediately made a great impression on the first session. He was patient, and kind, and my Hercules responded very well to him. Nick has a genuine love for dogs and it truly comes across in his approach to training. He took the time to fine-tune what Hercules responded to and quickly removed what did not work. Nick has empowered me with the necessary tools and knowledge to temper Hercules's severe outbursts of reactivity towards other dogs and I now feel confident in taking Hercules on a walk alone. His expertise has greatly improved my relationship with my Hercules and overall knowledge of dog behavior. I learned so much from Nick and I will forever be thankful for his help. Nick truly cares about the goals you want to achieve with your dog and teaches you how to accomplish them. Nick is very personable, knowledgeable, and honest and makes the training experience a lot of fun. I appreciate that Nick has always offered to be a resource in addressing questions or difficulties that you may be having after training is completed. My family and I will miss our sessions with him, but we look forward to our follow-up sessions! So don't wait---- hire Nick, you won't regret it!

Jayda was fabulous to work with. She was informative and knew exactly what she was doing with Bowie in our time with her. She was always available for questions, being so helpful every step of the way. Jayda takes her job very seriously so everyone is guaranteed results.

We absolutely loved working with Nick! He's so patient, kind, knowledgeable, and attentive to the needs of our pup Enzo, tailoring his program perfectly to what we needed help with. Our dog had 3 previous homes before coming to us and was not taught any boundaries. He was lugging us around where we had to use all of our strength to try and get control of him. After working with Nick the first day, we were able to be in control and start making corrections to his behavior. He gave us the tools we needed to build a strong relationship and how to consistently reinforce good habits and behavior for not only our dog but as well as for us as our pup's parents. If you need any help with your pup, he's your guy! Looking forward to the next time we work with you again Nick!

    Before his command

All I have to say is with just one session with Nick, my husky has already shown progress in our walks (a very nervous and anxious pup). He reacts a lot less to noise and other dogs with the help of Nick. He is so patient and goes at your dogs' pace, so they don't get too spooked or become fearful. I really do like how he demonstrates and gets your pup used to the structure leading up to the command with reward and then gives you a chance to practice to begin that leadership with your dog. Just learning how to speak and assert your leadership before you even leave the door really has created a shift in my dog's behavior on our walks and even inside when it comes to being patient with his meals. I've been practicing what I've learned in the session and it has helped so much with my 10 month old active pup. So excited for the next session. Definitely would 100% recommend. If you have any questions, he's always right there to answer and be in your corner.

We are so happy we found this company! After getting a puppy a few months ago, we realized we needed help shaping better behavior with him. Nick is extremely knowledgeable in dog training and is so patient and loving towards our sweet Charlie boy. His leash walking has improved tremendously after only a few leash specific training sessions. Nick has laid out a foundation for us to continue to work on our dog with. I really feel like he cares about his clients and is not in the business for money, but for passion. I will personally be referring friends and family to Nick if they need help with their dogs

Absolutely fantastic! Curtis White trained our dogs for three weeks. Our dogs finally behaved after the training. Before hand, our dogs were out of control, and would go completely nuts when they saw other dogs. I was unable to walk them individually or together. Two times my dogs pulled me to the ground. I could no longer walk them. Once Curtis trained our dogs and trained us, we were finally able to walk them and be around other dogs. I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am. Once Curtis helped us, we were finally able to walk them and be around other dogs. I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am. Curtis is the best! I am so greatful. I would recommend him to everyone.

After looking around and doing some research I made a few inquiries regarding a dog trainer. I landed on Nick's instagram page and his personal website for his business "metacanineacademyoc." We scheduled a phone consultation to go over the reasons behind the need for a trainer. My 4 year old mastiff mix started acting out and lashed out on two occasions towards my other dogs in my household. All of the dogs have been around one another since they were pups, therefore there weren't any new introductions to be made. Diving deeper into the phone consultation we discussed how she was turning on us and becoming growly. After the first in person meet up we discussed two ways of addressing her behavior. One being that she needed guidance, reassurance, and an outlet for her energy. The second way would be to correct her reactivity when she gets to her assertive and aggressive state. Since she wasn't always in the reactive mindset, we decided to start from the basics and work our way up. For two weeks he worked with her on retraining her focus with basic commands, gain confidence, and work out her stubbornness. My dog, Willow, seemed to have forgotten her place in the household and was testing all of us and pushing her boundaries as much as possible. In those two weeks we regained our superiority to make sure she knew that she was not the alpha in the group. While we love how protective she is of all of us she needed to be put more at ease and not on alert all the time. Within just a few short days the entire family saw a positive change in her. Nick has helped me as an owner see things from a dogs perspective and gave me the tools to use in continuing to build that positive reinforcement. Willow is the fourth dog I have had the privilege of being a pet parent to, while not the easiest out of the four to train, she has been and will continue to hold a special place in my heart. While I described this stage as her "terrible teen years" she has grown out of her shell and into her puppy personality that disappeared over time. Nick has helped tremendously and is always available to provide feedback when needed. He is only a text or call a way if you have any questions. So if you're stuck in a rut with what to do with your fur baby that is acting out, call him.

Pay ZERO attention to that review. As a psychologist, I pay very close attention to behavior, regulation, communication, and emotional energy, and at no point did I witness cruelty, aggression, intimidation, or abusive behavior toward me or my dog. What honestly amazed me most was that he never said one word to my dog. There was no yelling, chaos, or "training performance." It was all action, energy, body language, timing, and an understanding of canine psychology that I have never personally seen before. Before we started working together, Daisy was going after every dog she saw. Within two hours, we were calmly walking and standing next to dogs that were within a foot of her, even sniffing her, and she was completely relaxed. The transformation was honestly remarkable. I think some people may misunderstand firmness, honesty, or structure as being "mean," especially when dealing with difficult dog behaviors, but there is a huge difference between abuse and someone confidently leading both owner and dog. My experience felt safe, effective, loving, and honestly incredible. For the first time in a long time, I left feeling hopeful and relaxed instead of anxious. I am extremely grateful I trusted my own experience instead of one negative review.

As a first time dog dad, I haven't sharpened my tools around understanding my dogs emotional state and how threatened she feels and how to react or treat such aggression. So its harder for me to empathize and as such know how to handle it. I ran into Josh while walking my dog. I always see him walking his dogs, and they are so well behaved and so focused on him. So, I inquired about their training and he and i scheduled a session. Josh shared tools to improve these behaviors first from a actual tools piece like replacing a harness with a collar and a firm leash rather than a flex leash. Next, he helped me understand the psychological state of my dog and why she does what she does, it was enlightening and helped me better understand Nuggets. Finally, Josh taught me exercises to employ to redirect Nuggets focus to me. I couldn't be more grateful for the service Josh provided. You can tell Josh loves what he does and it shows by how good he is at it. That being said, I struggle to understand how anyone could complain about Bark Busters, my experience was one in which Josh , an incredible professional, was trying to help me be a better dog parent, and for that I am eternally grateful.

The results were mind-blowing. Lexi took all of her naps peacefully in her pen or crate and SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT in her crate! I got a full night of uninterrupted sleep while my baby girl slept peacefully nearby in her crate. Wow, I am so grateful. I also want to recognize and thank Rebecca. She came and watched my little girl for a few hours so I could go to work. She was so good with Lexi and I loved the photos and updates! UPDATE: Lexi is now over a year and an AKC Canine Good Citizen, thanks to Cassie! We have completed puppy kindergarten, basic communication, and CGC classes with Cassie as well as had a few private sessions to work on things like counter surfing, accepting grooming, proper walking, separation, and a fear of certain types of people... Cassie is one of Lexi's very favorite humans and has been amazing at teaching me how to train Lexi. We're looking forward to continuing to work with Cassie down the road. We couldn't have anyone new come into our home without her barking, growling, and displaying dominant behavior. We were starting to lose hope and knew we needed guidance to help Nala trust us and feel secure. We reached out to Emily, and from her very first consultation, we knew we had made the right choice. Emily arrived calm and relaxed, allowed Nala to approach her at her own pace, and immediately showed us how Nala should properly greet people. From that moment, I knew Emily was the perfect trainer for us. We've been working with Emily for 3 months, focusing on how Nala approaches people entering our home, and the progress has been incredible. We found SoCal Dog Training through a friend's referral, and choosing Vladae ended up being one of the best decisions we've made. I'll admit, I was skeptical at first--so many trainers promise results--but Vladae truly delivers. The onboarding process was seamless. The initial FaceTime consultation helped set clear expectations, and I really appreciated how upfront and honest he was about the work required. What stood out most to me was his long-term commitment--knowing I could always come back for refreshers gave me a lot of confidence that I wasn't just getting a short-term fix. Chloe used to be extremely reactive--barking, pulling on the leash, and even jumping up on our toddlers. Vladae helped me understand the root of her behavior and showed me how to properly address it.
