I did a quick online search after realizing I wasn't interested in skiing anymore and found Meta Yoga. It is conveniently located downtown and I was able to make a reservation online. It is $17 for a drop in class and an extra $2 if you need to rent a mat. I attended a Gentle Flow class which was perfect to stretch out my aches from skiing. I loved the studio - it was quaint but the large window that we faced with views of the snowy town and mountain made it a larger than life experience. I would say the space fits 10 people comfortably and I had no problem booking a class at the last minute. This was a great stop for me on my Breckenridge trip. read more

We loved Kat! I planned a Bachelorette party recently in Breckinridge and set up a private yoga session for the guests at the house we rented. Kat came with everything we needed, provided all our mats, and even helped us arrange the room. She also had this great playlist that really helped set the vibe for the session. We had varying levels of experience in the room, from a couple yogis that practice daily - to a couple ladies who had never tried yoga before in their lives. Kat made everyone feel comfortable, encouraged, and like there were options for every level. Most of all, we just loved Kat's calming presence. Having someone who can help you balance both the mental aspect and the physical aspect is key. Kat is an instructor that can get you to focus your intention, calm your mind, center yourself, and then let go a little. And of course she also helped us get our heart rates up starting the day in an invigorating way, helped loosen up the muscles of those hitting the slopes, And for people like me that need to do more yoga... we were pleasantly sore. I cannot recommend Kat/Meta Yoga Studios enough. It was super easy to book, the team was wildly accommodating as I had to change the appointment SEVERAL times, and it was super affordable. They are really organized, have a great online system, but also have a personal touch as I was able to call and text the owner to get everything all set. Ultimate relaxation. Took my first class tonight (the 6PM hip opener class). My hamstrings and hips feel so much better! This class is similar to yin yoga (holding poses for longer amounts of time) with a focus on hips, lower back and hamstrings. Highly suggest taking class here, especially if you typically do high intensity workouts. Other items worth noting: 1) really clean 2) friendly staff Can't wait to come back! read more

The instructor, cheese, was warm and welcoming. The studio was very cold...I had to keep my socks on for most of it the ground was also very uneven and hard so I had to adjust often. Also wish they had some mirrors to check my form. But glad they had mats and blocks available. The owner was a bit unwelcoming, especially as a yogi, I felt uncomfortable around her. read more

I highly recommend this yoga studio to everyone! We decided to have Meta Yoga Studios do a private lesson for my wedding party at our wedding venue and they did a phenomenal job. First off, they brought 15 yoga mats without any hesitation. They talked with me before the class to see what my vision was and what I wanted/didn't want. We had some kids do this yoga class so it was great that they went over everything before class so we didn't have any surprises. I was visiting for the weekend and took Kelly's class, which was held off site at Breckenridge Distillery and we practiced in the bourbon barrel room. The "Sip & Stretch" program is offered every 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, starting in June. We had a blast stretching it out as a group. It was light-hearted, fun and perfect for beginners. Had a great class here while in town visiting and would definitely go back again. There were mats available to borrow which was helpful. My only issue was with the space itself - You have to exit the building and go downstairs for the bathroom, and there is no waiting area/ the yoga room is open to the whole place. This means you have to wait outside until the class before you is done. read more

This place is awesome! I love love love it. Visiting Breckenridge for a few weeks and got the one week pass! Totally worth it, so many different classes, including hot yoga (which for me is warm yoga considering I'm from Florida). I've attended 2 classes a day each day now, one at noon (more intense class) and one in the evening (more relaxing, restorative , or yin). All of them have been different! EJ and Doc are the teachers that stood out for me so far. Studio is beautiful and unique. Great decoration, atmosphere, and merchandise. Thank you! read more

A beautiful studio right in downtown Breckenridge with yoga classes every day. This studio replaced Shivaya yoga on Ridge street, and has a wonderful view of the mountain. I bought the 30 day unlimited pass for $100 and have loved every teacher so far. Juli and Santosh are my favorites. They teach mostly vinyasa classes, but there is still a lot of attention placed on alignment and structure, which I find essential. There are also yin yoga classes, restorative, and various workshops on the weekends. If you are living in Denver, and skiing for the week or weekend, I would recommend going to their Apres Ski classes at 4pm so you can skip the traffic on the way home. read more

Took the hot yoga taught by Judi with 6 of my girlfriends during a weekend Breck trip. Studio is fairly convenient to walk to, and has a gorgeous view of the snow-capped mountains. I really liked the open feel of the room, although it means that the temperature won't be as high. Most importantly, the studio felt very clean. I've had issues with other hot yoga studios being too stuffy or grimy feeling. Overall great class, and left me feeling energized and detoxed. Things to note: the studio doesn't provide towels or bottled water so bring your own. They have a water dispenser but you'd have to buy one of their reusable bottles. Drop-in prices are $18. At the high altitude, the thought of doing hot yoga may be daunting, but everyone in our group passed with flying colors! read more

I adore this yoga studio! I was in a Breckenridge on vacation last year and came here once - the staff and studio are great. This year I got a 1 week unlimited pass and went to 6 classes!! Love. Love. Love. I swear this yoga studio has the most gorgeous view of any yoga studio I have been to! It is worth just once class for the view itself! The wood floor is beautiful and my understanding is one of the owners hand laid it himself... It really adds to the charm of this place. I took classes from Jenna, Hannah, Amber and Murray... What a treat to have Murray as an instructor. He has been a teacher of yoga for 42 years and I went to two of his classes...he gave so much great information and I truly feel blessed to have learned from him. I understand his workshops are wonderful too. A wonderful yoga studio with great classes, plus classes that cater to this ski town too. I highly recommend this studio! read more

My family visits Breck each year during the season for snowboarding. I come along for the relaxation and alone time I get while my boys are out. Black Friday I purchased a 10 class pass to use during our visits. In February, I took three different classes with three different teachers. Everyone was friendly and I think the space is just LOVELY. I enjoyed each of the classes I attended. As a Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) my only suggestion would be for your instructors to have more trauma training. Ask permission before touching OR just no hand on assisting. We can never know what that person on their mat is working through and we cannot assume it is okay to touch them. Other than that, it was GREAT! Thank you for such a lovely experience. I am sad that we did not get to return for our second trip out due to the corona virus. We hope to get back soon (at least before my pass expires). Stay safe and take care OMies!!! read more

So happy to return to this place after a great class here last summer. After a day of skiing in subzero temps there is nothing quite like getting cozy and warm and all stretched out in an Apres Ski or Restorative yoga session. Of the three instructors' classes I've attended, Rachel Meisler's Sunday Restorative was the best. As a Californian attuned to the trends (and flops) of contemporary yoga practices, Rachel's combination of styles and the flow of her class was very well-balanced and safe for yogi's of all levels. The upstairs studio is inviting, well-stocked with props, and boasts a ridiculously scenic view of the mountains. I hope to return soon. read more

$20 for an out of town drop in and mat rental. The Prana yoga class I took with Mike was pretty challenging for a beginner. I actually ended up throwing my back out because the end of the class seemed to be a mad dash to muscle into a difficult Bird of Paradise pose that one of the more advanced practitioners asked for at the beginning of class... The instructor kept going on weird rants about the yoga industry and scene... ummmm ok? Over all decent studio despite it being really hot inside around 4pm and no bathroom in the studio. I'm guessing that the punch passes give you a better idea of the range of teachers and classes offered at this studio. I didn't feel particularly welcomed or accommodated but I guess with all the tourists in town this is just how it is here? ‍ read more

So to start, I moved to this area about 5 months ago and have really wanted to find a place to practice yoga with a variety of classes and class times. For Christmas I had asked my husband to sign me up here since this was the only gig in town. My husband stopped by with my 6 year old son to sign me up for monthly unlimited classes (year contract). He immediately called me and told me that he did not think this would be the place for me. He states that the yoga instructor was extremely rude and short with him upon entering the building. She was in the middle of teaching a class, which he understands, but a 2-second conversation would have been nice. A "note" on the door would also alert outsiders that a class was in progress-"hint hint." He felt that this was one of the rudest individuals he had dealt with in a long time. The next day I decided to try to call the business to get information about joining. I left my name and number and expressed interest in a yearly membership. i guess everyone is too busy over there to even call me back or they make so much money on the visitors that they do not need local business. Horrible to move to a new place and not feel welcomed in a yoga environment. I suppose they do not practice what they preach. read more

We had an instructor come to our house durning a girls trip and it was AMAZING!

The yoga instructor was kind and helpful. Really like the assists she provided. the class was small and very community oriented. The front desk greeter did not seem thrilled to be working. It took a few minutes before she acknowledged that I was there. She kept saying I have to work all Saturday. Not a great first impression of studio. Again- the class and the yoga instructor were wonderful. the view from the studio is spectacular. read more

Signed up for a walk-in hot yoga class after a week of snowboarding and the heat/stretching/meditation was perfect after a long week. The studio is friendly, clean, and beautifully decorated with windows overlooking the mountain. I enjoy yoga without wall mirrors because I can be more present and less concerned with who I look in a pose. I felt comfortable and supported even though I wasn't very experienced.
