I just moved to the neighborhood and was looking for a good supermarket close to me when I stumbled upon this place. This market has a great selection of produce, delicious premade foods, and various products. I love how clean and organized all the aisles are. Every time I come here, I am greeted by the amiable and welcoming manager, Danny. He is very personable and makes you feel like you are a part of the neighborhood. Food selection is not bad, I've seen worse in other places, which is fine. Service is okay so far, I haven't had much hiccups, though I would like to wonder why I keep getting a deposit fee mysteriously on my receipt for some reason from time to time. Atmosphere is so so, which balances out with the produce. All in all I give them a 3 stars which is really 2 and a half but I can't. read more

Extremely overpriced produce. They have more selection than Mr Lemon so compared to going there (if you dont need produce) it can be much cheaper. Used to go here quite faithfully until.... I heard the cashier making loud jokes in a racist "Asian" accent. The owner and manager just laughed and basically told him "not right now," rather than "today is your last day." That was it for me. Given how horribly Asian people are being treated - and the fact that racism any day is just plain intolerable - I can live to walk a few more blocks somewhere else. read more

Two stars because they often have snacks and vegan options you can't find at other stores in Bushwick and a good beer selection. Zero stars if possible because the staff either don't have a mask on or don't wear it properly - like, ever. Staff literally wiped his nose with his hands and then pulled his mask up after that thanks to the manager giving him a dirty look. Cashier had mask below her nose and then proceeded to take it off and drink while we were paying, and then just keep it down the during the rest of our transaction and proceed to literally yell BYE in my face while leaving. If this is what happens when interacting with customers, I don't want to know what happens other times. read more

This business would have potential if quality met quantity and they responded to customer service. One of the items was missing in my delivery and another product was molding and inedible. Strongly recommend these folks, they're punching above their weight for the medium size of their groccery store. They have a cool walk-in beer room, with a selection of microbrews and ciders. (Try the Nine-Pin!) They have a modern point-of-sale system with price scanners around the store. It's unusual to see that at a small grocery chain, I suspect that having a modern inventory system is what enables their website to be so accurate for their delivery services. I've always been happy with their grocery selection. And they've been invaluable with their delivery services during Covid. I've worked with a couple people there, most recently Angelica, and their delivery driver has been super solid as well. read more

Saw an employee in the bread section this morning putting his BARE HANDS into an open loaf of bread. I love this spot! Prices: They have decent prices, especially the sale items. If you plan ahead and buy things on sale you will get great deals. Take a sale leaflet when you walk in, or if you live close they will put them on your stoop. Plan ahead and save $ Customer service: Customer service is bomb, they are attentive and happy to help you find things. They are always cleaning the registers and removing stacked baskets from the end of the registers. They keep the store neat and tidy. Produce: I love their homemade guacamole in the produce area. The produce can be a little sus sometimes but if you're patient enough to look through it, you will find fresh items Stock: Management does a great job of keeping everything in stock. They also carry a lot of new grocery items that other stores don't have, like all the dairy free milk options and various vegan meat alternatives. Overall I am so happy met fresh opened up here! We needed a good alternative to Hi Mango ($$$) and City Fresh (too far). Support local business!!!!! read more

The employees at this supermarket are incredibly rude! I've shopped here quite a few times and every single experience was a negative one. There is one employee that was very helpful; the guy that works in the deli. Other than that the cashiers refuse to bag your items, and when you say 'hello', and/or 'thank you', you're met with no response. Never again. read more

He only helps when he seems convenient and is very rude. When he gets mad at a customer he speaks his native language that way they won't understand. We bought over $200 worth of groceries to be delivered to our home. 23 out of 57 items were missing. When we called the store they did not believe us and sent the delivery person back to get the receipt. We highlighted all of the missing items. The delivery person was rude and asked to see our fridge. Despite being intrusive we allowed him in thinking this would settle the matter. Instead he got loud and told us the store would check the cameras tomorrow. I told home I would be heading back to the supermarket to return my receipt- he refused. I live off Stockholm street and wanted to avoid the high prices at Hi Mango (even though I love that market). Met Fresh is nearby and is great. As for any smaller market the prices are a little high but that's what you get when you don't want to go far. Great selection of produce. Clean store. Friendly staff. The owner even takes suggestions of what to order so if there's something you need and can't find you can talk with a manager about them getting it in. I think that's lovely. This market provides a great shopping experience for their community and I am grateful to be so close by. read more

My long book review! Happy new year! I've been coming here since the second day opened, I try not to buy any groceries elsewhere cause I really like every1 that works here, everyone is really nice. my 1st impression of the place was wow it's nice and new and really clean and till this day it still is. Their sale prices are really cheap and their everyday prices are getting better everyday, they have a lot of cheap things in the store, u just have to look. This place is exactly what this neighborhood needs! the 1st time I came here to shop the boss (I didn't know he was the boss till really recently) was running around with his workers like crazy putting things in place and I asked one of his workers if the orange juice that I was holding is the one on sale and the boss stopped what he was doing just came running toward me and grabbed it out of my hands and ran to the cashier to price check it, I thought that was pretty nice cause I didn't ask him, lol that's what kept me coming back from the 1st day, he was always very helpful, every time I needed something he was running around the whole store. My sister saw the same thing when she needed something and ask someone else, he came running to help, he's a really hard worker, good looking young guy! (Don't worry, I don't own any cougar claws, I'm not a hunter) that's y you wouldn't even think he's the boss. Than there's the manager I think his name is Big Willy, he is so nice! and always really helpful, if u can't find what your looking for ask Big Will, he'll help you or give you a raincheck and if there's something wrong he'll take care of it right away, the morning manager also, they'll all open up the register to take care of me and tell me they're opening up just for me, they made me feel very special. You can't really compare these supermarkets to metfresh, The quality of their meat is much better, cleaner and taste better. I cooked the pork shoulder for like 10 people and My food always comes out good but they all said that was the best it ever came out and I agree and I didn't season it any different, it was definitely the meat. Their chicken is clean their fruits and vegetables are clean, everything's clean! When I look, their fruits and vegetables are always fresh and better quality, u just have to buy it. One time around when they 1st opened I bought their avocados from the front when it was 2 for $1 when it looked really done and wrinkly but when I cut it open it was beautiful!!! I went back and bought a bunch, but if I bought it anywhere else around here even if I buy it green, it has a big chance it's going to be bruised or rotten. I really don't know how anyone can dislike this place, I mean when I go here the workers are happy all the time and I mean all the time, they smile at me all the time! When ever I went there The produce is always on point I know my food. The workers are always willing to help you out even if they are busy with something they will go out of their way to help you. I lived in Bushwick for so many years, compared to others this is my favorite place to shop around here. I wish this place luck and hope it's stay ls open forever. This place asks for customers to write them a yelp review, so here it is. This grocery store is absolutely awful. Let me start with the produce. I've seen some hideous, nearly rotting old fruit sitting outside for sale. Produce in New York is usually not so great, but I don't think I've yet to see a single produce item here that I would ever consider buying. It's also weirdly expensive? Why? Mr Lemon a block away is cheaper and has better produce and it is practically a bodega. Now what about the selection of goods stocked in all the aisles? It's incredible how this place only has the worst quality, most mega processed selections of food and yet is not even cheap enough to justify it. Three times I've come into this place and spent minutes trying to pick the least terrible option out of only bad options for pasta, cheese, beans...it's taken precious time out of my life. The employees seem so extremely bored, probably because they are never busy since no one shops here. It's already freezing cold by the registers. At least let them go on their phones. And finally, this place has the worst, most obnoxiously bright lights I've ever seen posted outside a storefront. How is it necessary or even cost efficient to have blindingly bright fluorescent lights on 24/7? Do you think this makes people want to shop here? Decided to give this supermarket another try since some of the missteps could be attributed to grand opening hiccups and pains. Unfortunately, I must say that I will not be coming here a third time. Price conscious customers should shop elsewhere. This store's prices are on average higher than all the competitors in the surrounding area which include but are not limited to Fine Fare, Food Bazaar, Sea Town, Mr. Lemon, Green Corner, C Town, etc. etc. As others have mentioned previously, their produce department is really lacking. It might have something to do with their turnaround or inventory. Seems like there are not many customers so that mean that the produce does not have high turnaround and in turn that results in not so fresh offerings. The above are just some of my personal observations from my two visits. What really irked me and prompted me to leave this review is as other customers have stated - This store encourages its customers to go online to leave reviews. But it seems like they are not interested in honest reviews and feedback. It seems like they have paid to remove any non positive / negative reviews from online. I know this to be true because I visited them for their grand opening and left a review about my experience. Guess what it's no longer posted and almost all the previous reviews have been scrubbed from yelp. Why ask your customers to leave reviews if you are going to pay to remove any that you don't like? I revisited this location recently trying to find a market without a line during this pandemic - they were empty and well stocked. The prices are extremely high, have not adjusted prices, while people are involuntarily placed into unemployment! I mean I went there to go shopping and left only with a few essential items. New supermarket in the area and it's exactly what I've needed in the neighborhood! Their products are always fresh and the prices are great. The store is organized and very easy to navigate. Staff is also very friendly and will help you find anything you have trouble with. If they don't have it in store they can eventually order it for you as well. read more

This place is the absolute worst for having the correct prices on items. Every single time I go in there there's always something incorrectly priced within my order (and I only purchase 5-10 items at a time). It's really frustrating to have to memorize the prices of my items and then watch over each scan to make sure it's correct. I believe this is deceitful practices on their part because of how often this occurs. Most customers probably aren't paying attention so they get away with it. Avoid this place if you can. read more

The employees go out their way to make sure they have everything that I am looking for , whether it's vegan cheese or a certain sip of tea that I love.
