Breaks my heart to leave such a bad review, but it is much needed. I have been going to this…read morepractice for years and was devastated to hear that Dr. Kerata was retiring and sold her practice. FOR THE RECORD, I absolutely LOVE Dr. Kerata. She is irreplaceable. Her old office manager Becky was beyond amazing, but she has not been with them for years now, and honestly that is when I noticed the office 1st going downhill. I also cannot say enough good things about Shara, Dr. Kerata's hygienist who has seen my boys since they were born and the main reason I have stayed with this practice. Both Dr. Kerata and Shara have therapeutic rapports with us as patients and never did I have a problem getting my boys to want to come to the dentist. Shara was always so patient with them and we never had any issues. I am very disappointed with Mariam Makram taking over the practice. Every time I see her she introduces herself and says I don't think we've met... yet it's been at least 5 times now. She referred me to an endodontist, who seemed to be a friend of hers. Initially I thought maybe she was just concerned about my tooth but not sure that was really the case after having the consultation. Today was my last visit with this office. My boys had follow-up appointments to get sealants replaced. They were scheduled with Makram and another hygienist who we are not familiar with. My one son's visit seemed to go fine. Not the case with the 2nd. In a very unprofessional roundabout way I was informed my son was not going to be treated in her office ever again. The staff would not answer my questions and referred me to Makram herself who told me she was referring my 13 year old son to a pediatric dentist "who could better serve his needs"... I insisted we have been coming to this practice since my boys were born and never had an issue with Dr. Kerata or Shara... she informed me my son was swearing and being disruptive to her other patients. Apparently he had a canker sore and it was too painful for him to cooperate with this new hygienist. I am not buying this story whatsoever. My son has ADHD and was tired and likely crabby when they touched his sore mouth. It seems to me Makram only wants to have a certain type of clientele and that is fine because I don't like her or her way of doing things and never want her seeing me or my boys ever again. This is discrimination. And her office is trained to put on a fake show and smile. No integrity in this office whatsoever anymore. Such a shame. When my boys had appointments before either Shara or Dr. Kerata would update me on their visit, not the case with Markram. She never had any intentions of speaking with me today and even had the nerve to point out the differences in my 2 sons stating she didn't have any problems with my other son. I only want health care providers taking care of me and my family who are capable of addressing our individual needs and respecting our unique differences. Do not go to this practice if you are in need of any compassion or specialized needs.

Top notch and professional. Starting with Becky at the reception desk, to the dental assistants,…read moreand finishing with Dr Kerata, this is the best experience I've had at a dentists office in my 35 yrs. I had a few problems after not going to the dentist for a few years and no one passed judgement on me, or made me feel worse than I already did about the situation. Dr Kerata and staff addressed my issues (needed a filling, root canal treatment, 2 chipped teeth, and a good cleaning) and took care of business, explaining what was being done throughout each process, and showing me a short video about what a root canal was (something I never got much of at any other dentist I've been to in the past.) I can't say enough about Dr Kerata, so if you need an appointment and are considering scheduling one here, I would highly recommend doing so.

Went here because I had a tooth that broke and was in a lot of pain. My dentist couldn't pull it…read moreand would have to refer me to a specialist (I called ahead and asked about how it would work since I haven't been back in almost a year) which would have taken a couple weeks to get into so I thought I'd go here. I was told they'd have to pull the broken tooth (which I knew there was no saving) but then mentioned the tooth next to it would need a root canal as well because of an infection. My insurance wasn't accepted so I would have to pay out of pocket and I couldn't afford a root canal on top of a tooth extraction. So I asked if I just got the original tooth pulled, and took some antibiotics, if that would help. The dentist basically scoffed and said no it wouldn't and the only option was the root canal. I was already irritated at this point so I told him just to pull both teeth. He argued with me trying really hard to let him do the root canal because he didn't want to pull the other tooth (which I get, because dentists anyways want to try to save what they can). Eventually he agreed, but they wanted about $1000 to pull both teeth (and they weren't even going to sedate me. That was just the cost of the numbing shots and the tooth extractions). So I left because I wasn't paying that. I went to my dentist same week so I could get the referral. They did their own x rays and had me set up the appointment with the specialist. I asked them about the other tooth and was told there was nothing wrong with it. I was given antibiotics which took care of the infection, had the broken tooth removed and the other tooth is still in great condition. So I'm pretty sure I almost let the dentist at this place remove a perfectly good tooth just because they wanted more money out of me. Will not be going back. I gave it 2 stars only because the dental hygienist was actually really nice.

If I could give a less than 1 star I would. This place is horrible. Staff is horrible, bathroom…read moreis dirty, dentist is arrogant and didn't even help me. I paid $165 (no insurance) and Dentist basically said, "I do the surgery, or I do nothing". I have an infection in gum/tooth and in pain but would not give me antibiotics until I could another dentist. I waited 3 1/2 - 4 hours to be seen even with an appointment. This place sucks - stay away. I opted for them not to do surgery because I didn't trust any of them. I would have been better off paying $39 for a virtual appointment where they would have at least prescribed antibiotics to fight infection.
