In recovery, the dr did not take to her sense of humor had her rejected for rehab at Mercy which caused her to be moved to a nursing home, which was a nightmare in itself. Dr Dean had zero bedside manor and he abandoned my wife and her follow up treatment. The surgery took a toll on her and her memory is shot. My wife lives with excruciating pain and her quality of life was ruined by Dr Deam. If you see the name Dr Dean, turn and go elsewhere for your own good.

They did not send with record request sent over earlier, same day. As soon as the phone was picked up the reception sighed loudly as if it was bother to answer the phone. She would not let me ask my question just kept saying patient needed to call records department. Patient has already signed a medical release, already called office for them to be able to send us the information. She would not look for anything, she was just trying to get back to her nap, phone, food or whatever I disrupted her from. She told me I had to talk to medical records, I was trying to explain I called them first and no info was uploaded to them. The lady that answered at medical records was actually even less professional. Asked me for the DOB 8 times and name(common name) 5 times with spelling. Acted annoyed I called, completely out of breath, could not get me off the phone fast enough. Referred me to office, and was met with same brush off, annoyance. Said patient had to call and request and it would take another 7-10 business days. Don't know anything about the Drs, but the front staff representing the Drs needs a refresher course in phone etiquette or a job with no interaction with others.

We traveled from PA to his practice and it was a blessing to have a Dr who has built his practice around peripheral nerves unlike the multiple podiatrists we had previously seen. As an expert in his field, and head of the department at Mercy, I felt very confident making an appointment to see him. He provided two different options for my situation and also shared the pros and cons of each. After deciding to have my ankle replaced by Dr. Myerson, I remember waking up from surgery, and he said that I would have a new life with my ankle! (The two years since the accident were filled with daily chronic pain, swelling, and limited ability to walk) I am so pleased with the work that Dr. Myerson has done for me and while I am still early in my recovery, (four months), I have been able to really see so many benefits to the surgery thus far. While I may need revisions later in life due to the life of the joint itself, I know I made the right choice for me and the best choice in surgeons. The office staff there leaves little to be desired though. If you are unable to call during their office hours, you may email them if you have questions, but sometimes it can take a week or more to hear back. Most recently, I emailed the head of the office staff regarding some billing questions, and did not hear back from her for well over a month. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. Unfortunate to have to deal with such rudeness at this site. Luckily, the amazing experience of the surgeons here makes this practice so successful. We don't visit an orthopaedic office for the office staff, but it would be wonderful if they could be a bit more patient focused and actually take pride in their work.
