I was called by the manager today, June 1, 2026. They will refund their inspection fee if I modify my review. They also referred me to another plumbing company. They are too busy to send a technician. They said the technician called but he wasn't able to reach my number. However, the manager had no trouble calling me? I was a Director of Operations before I retired. This is what is known as Damage Control! To the Manager: If Josh called me, even at a wrong number, the call would appear in his telephone call log, date and time. If there is no record of the call, he may be a dishonest employee. I don't relish your and HR's job concerning Josh.

Based on the age of the furnace, we knew it needed replacing. Alex replaced our furnace, oil tank and added heat pumps to keep us cool in the summer. We had a couple hiccups along the way. The true quality of a provider is how they respond to those hiccups (mfg defect and intern error.) Alex was highly accountable, responded quickly and made sure our install and ongoing service was in perfect order. Plus, ABG has a secret weapon... Krista who manages all the details is amazing. They are a dynamic duo building a high quality business that goes above and beyond. Highly recommend.

I called versatile plumbing and heating looking for someone to come out and provide an estimate for an entirely new heating system (boiler, baseboards, piping, all of it) in a residential home. Before even asking anything about the house or the job he instead asked how many other people I had looking at the job. When I said that I have had 2 other people look at the house and am looking to have 1 or two more estimates before making a decision he said that he was not interested in a job if more people were going to look at it. When I asked why he indicated that if there were more people looking at the job then I was just interested in comparing all of the estimates and choosing the cheapest one....Which is exactly true...because thats how business and estimates work. So apparently if you want the job to be high quality and competitively priced Versatile Heating and Plumbing is not interested in providing the work. I cannot say anything as to the quality of their work as he has not done any work on my home. But as a professional myself I would not trust any business that discourages getting multiple opinions and estimates. I imagine if I had gone ahead with Versatile a heating system would get installed but it most likely would be overpriced for the installed product. After one single conversation Mr. Patterson and Versatile Heating and Plumbing are definitely not worth my trust. I would suggest you call around...there are plenty of other plumbing and heating businesses out there willing to provide estimates and honest work.

They didn't even have the professional courtesy to call and let me know they were running late. At 10:45 AM they still hadn't showed up so I called the office. The receptionist offered no apology, just said they were running late. (Duh!!) I replied, so why didn't someone call?? She simply responded, 'I'll get back to you and hung up.' The plumber finally arrived at 11:45 AM with a journeyman, and offered no apology. In fact, he was not a very pleasant or communicative person, although with each thing he looked at, he informed me there was a problem. To make a long story short, what I assumed might be $200, was almost $500. Unfortunately, I was told upfront, their policy was not to give estimates so I took my chances. I had used them in the past, as had neighbors in my condo development and been happy. THIS IS A VERY DIFFERENT COMPANY NOW and not for the better! In hindsight, I believe the 'no estimates' is their sneaky, dishonest way to inflate prices. They seemed to have no problem cashing my check within 24 hours , yet they've refused to respond to phone calls and VM to get back to me with a price breakdown. Not only is this terrible customer service; it's unreasonable and unprofessional. I've waited over two and a half weeks to hear back from them to no avail. Shame on YOU! Andrea D., Bath
