My wife insists on going here. I have done price comparisons and think they are way over by 50%.

I've been a loyal customer here since the Dr. Finch days and the era of the incredibly cool Dave. Even though Dave has retired and his wonderful daughter Jamie now runs the business from behind the scenes, you can absolutely still feel their standards living on through the staff. I walked in fresh from my 'bad breakup' with that other place, and Lex immediately swung into action. She actually repaired my old glasses on the spot (new nose pads and a tighten-up) so I had something to wear while waiting for my order. Then she whisked me over to the contact lens specialist (I am mortified that I forgot your name--please forgive me, I promise to get it right when I pick up my order!) and then to Kim, their amazing Optician. I ended up going all in: transition lenses with new frames AND prescription sunglasses. The whole experience reminded me why I loved interacting with Dave all those years ago. Lesson learned: You can't put a price on this kind of care. This is why supporting local, family-owned businesses is so important. I'm back for good!

Kimberly kindly fixed my broken glasses (screw came out and arm came off). I had attempted to fix them myself but couldn't see well enough to do so! Being from out of town I did not have a spare pair! If I lived in the vicinity, I would surely utilize their services on a regular basis., so I'll give them five stars for customer service! Thank you kadies!

While I can't speak on Dr. Cardillo Sr., his son Dennis Cardillo Jr., an optician, helped me with the process of getting new glasses. Dennis was friendly, answered all my questions, and never rushed or pushed me into buying new glasses. My prescription is high, and so Dennis explained the different options for my glasses, including pricing. To ensure my glasses would be right, he had me try them on, marked my optical center, and measured my pupillary distance. He said it would take a week and a half for my glasses to be ready which it did (10 business days). Instead of just picking them up, I made an appointment to have them dispensed. That meant Dennis would have me try them on, and adjust them if necessary. This step I definitely appreciated. They also offer lasik evaluations. They are open Monday-Thursday only. There is street parking. 5/5.

I have been wearing a frame called the 2.5 by Italee for the last eight years. They meet all my needs. Italee also does the lens work in house, sometimes when a company uses an outside lab they blame each other for any problems. The frame is light, the lenses, the most advanced progressives made. I replace my glasses about every 18 months because I have diabetic retinopathy. I call Italee and ask them to recommend an optician in the area I am living. This time they recommended Spechler Optical. It is an independent optical shop. Next door is an optician, who happens to be Mr Spechler's brother. I had my script from another Dr. I brought it to Mr. Spechler. It was the best eyeglass buying experience of my life. Mr. Spechler is incredibly knowledgeable about glasses. I spoke to him over an hour about what I wanted. I was so impressed I bought two full pairs. The glasses are perfect. they are fashionable, and more importantly my vision is the best it can be. He is very fair with his prices. He was hundreds of dollars cheaper than his competition. In short, if you want the best service, and prices go to Spechler optical. I strongly recommend them.

If such atrocity were to happen to me, you can find me a dark corner, hugging my knees, not knowing how to deal with the world. No exaggeration. That's how bad my myopia is. That said, it's important for me to have the best in lenses, frames and contact lenses. Not to sound like an infomercial, but that is the reason I go to Spechler Optical for my exams, glasses and contacts. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and helpful. The best part is knowing that they really care about their customers. Well, actually, the best part is that the people at Spechler Optical don't treat me like a bottomless pocket. There's no overselling here (unlike Lenscrafters-- I swear, I don't need Gucci sunglasses when I came in for contact lenses!) which is cause for an extra star, if only I could give a sixth. Now that I'm in Los Angeles, I miss the homey feel of Spechler Optical but you can be sure that I will order all my glasses and contacts from them.
