Such a wonderful company. I wish all companies were like this. I went in with a small budget and…read moreNadia said "Oh, if course we can do something beautiful for that price!" and they ARE doing a BEAUTIFUL kitchen in our home. They have significantly better prices than the chain stores, the and MUCH better than the kitchen people I found on Marketplace. Nadia is so kind and patient. She makes you feel like you are her most important customer and she honestly wants to help you save money. I am beyond thrilled with the entire process after having been discouraged by other companies I had checked with. She is very talented at designing as well. I couldn't imagine making the kitchen I had into what they are building! But they did it! She suggested moving the refrigerator and it made our kitchen look twice as big, open and airy. I also love that they don't use a bunch of subcontractors. Rainer and Cory do the work and they do it beautifully. They are very attentive to detail, and you can really see the craftsmanship in their work. They go above and beyond making sure you are happy with everything. We've had a lot of remodelling and work done on our home this past year. THIS is the only company out of them all (three other contractors/companies) that I felt was really dealing with me honestly, and not trying to take advantage of us. My only wish would be that they would offer ALL home remodeling because it's so nice to finally have faith in a company and their crew. I'll post before and after pictures when the countertops are installed on Friday...

The commercials for Granite Plus are enticing, offering the best prices and customer service, but…read moreour experience fell short of those expectations. My wife and I spent a couple months deliberating over the right granite for our kitchen remodel and the right granite fabricator. When we stumbled on Granite Plus we found our perfect slab and had a good vibe from our initial impression with the two owners (Lanette and Lazarus) that we worked with. They assured us that good customer service was paramount along with the fact we would get the very best price. Fast forwarding to our installation day some of our backsplash was missing and our bar top was set to be installed, but was short by 8 inches! Mistakes do happen, but we were met with a litany of excuses (one of which was to blame us for the bar top being too short) and we were not followed up with by the dates we were promised. To be fair, there was an issue with the 2nd slab for the redo of the bar top and after some back and forth Lazarus offered to let us go to Chicago to pick out the one we wanted. On a positive note the installers were very professional and did a great job.

My wife and I went with Granite Plus for a new kitchen counter top. After signing all their…read morepaperwork saying they are not responsible for any damages to your house and putting money down to get started, we even had to pay a charge for an oversized piece. I assumed they would send a larger crew to handle the larger piece. We started laying out the counter top. My wife spent several hours over multiple days working with multiple designers for the best pattern. On install day, 2 guys showed up and I asked if another crew member was coming to help with the oversized counter and they said no. Why was there an oversized charge when I needed to help the 2 workers lift the oversized counter? The layout that my wife approved with G.P. was not what we got. The pattern/seam does not line up to the drawing they provided. I understand that the fabricator has the final say, but it was not even close to lining up and not brought to our attention that it would not line up. Looks bad. One piece, 25"x22", also was cut crooked by about 1/4" so now next to the stove, it is tight toward the front of the stove, and there is a 1/4" gap at the back of stove. Other pieces are not cut square, but not 1/4" off. On another piece, they scraped and gouged the walls, which needed patching and repainting. Maybe a larger crew (that I paid the oversized fee for) may have prevented this. I am giving two stars because of patterns that don't line up, for not being able to cut a small piece square, and for having to patch and paint walls.

Once we decided on a stone, he had a detailed quote for us in less than two days which coverd the layout, edge detail of the countertops and approx. installation date. He sent detailed shop drawings for approval and once the install date was set it was met. The installation went very smooth as the two installers were professional, efficient and good guys. They explained the types of caulk choices and maintenance of a natural stone. We will be calling Chris on the next project that requires countertops.

Mikayla, another sales associate, was also very knowledgable and helpful. Adam, came to measure and his dry wit had us in stitches but his artistry in the matching of the stone is remarkable. Tyler and Aaron N. are possibly the most skilled installers. They are real artisans fitting the stone and problem solving in my 100+ year old house. We were happy from day one and the attention and respect that was shown to us during this adventure was truly stellar. Everyone who walks into my home comments on the beauty of my kitchen and the stone is definitely the star. I happened upon Stone Dimensions in a very random way and Jackson became my guide. Our experience was wonderful and yours will be too when you partner with this wonderful crew.

We purchased quartz countertops from IKEA and they contract with McDermott as the fabricators and…read moreinstallers. This review is based on my interactions with McDermott only. Once our order was placed through IKEA, McDermott called a day or so later to setup the laser measure appointment. I missed the first call and got a voicemail. I promptly called back but I didn't hear the caller leave a name. So after calling several times I was finally able to connect with a project manager to schedule the time. They are very thorough explaining everything and provide a follow-up email to cover the details of the call. Two days prior to the measure they send a reminder email with all the details and 30 minutes prior to their arrival day of they call you. The person arrived and the measurements went as noted in the call/email. It didn't take very long and I was asked questions pertaining to the tops, plumbing, cabinets, etc. A template is created with all the information pertaining to the job. After the measurements and template are signed off on, it goes back to IKEA to adjust any pricing based on the accurate measurements. This part of the process was slightly frustrating but that would be in a separate review of IKEA. McDermott called again to schedule the installation of the countertops. Communication was a little easier this time with the name of the scheduler and a prompt same day return phone call. I was surprised how quickly they were able to come install the tops. Same mentioned previously they followed up with an email and information on what to expect for installation. Before the installation date I did have to call to confirm if we were responsible to level the cabinets once our old countertop was removed. We did the demo ourselves and they did inform me we were responsible for leveling. If they did it the project manager explained it could be expensive. Luckily we were able to handle that. The day of installation I received a call 15 minutes prior to their arrival. Upon the installers arrival they managed to back down our driveway and run into a tree, breaking a branch...not a great start. But the two guys came in and started on the work right away. They explained the process and took care of a couple things on the cabinet tops so the installation would go more smoothly. After everything was finished and sealed they went over care and maintenance of our tops. The whole process took about an hour and a half. Overall we are very pleased with the countertops! The timeframe from purchase to installation was relatively quick, a total of 7 weeks. Communication could have been slightly better in beginning and I wish the installers didn't break our tree but we got our new tops.
