We called Hoffman Bro's first because they deal with both, and they charged us ~$300 to tell us the same thing as Spire and suggest we call a chimney sweep to check the flue pipe for blockages. We couldn't find a chimney sweep that either could be booked within the month to inspect and give us an estimate, and if they could be booked in that time frame they didn't understand the problem we described and wanted us to fork over hundreds to inspect and sweep our flue. Luckily, an acquantance gave us Crestside Ballwin's number. The receptionist called Dave over to learn about the problem and within a minute he figured that the roofers we had over a few weeks ago probably botched the install of the new flue pipe cap. They had a tech come over two hours after I called and sure enough that was the problem. Anyhow, these guys were solid for us, I'm super thankful we found them.

Two years ago, a day before we were supposed to head out on vacation, we found our water heater leaking. We called them, they came out quickly, got the permits they needed, and we went on vacation without having to worry about it. This morning, our furnace wasn't kicking in. No vacation plans this year, but the technicians came out quickly, found it was an in-warranty part, and got it replaced quickly. They were smart, knew what they were doing, and professional (and wore masks). We'd absolutely call Faszold first for any HVAC issues down the road. Thanks!

I appreciated the honesty! He had to leave to get a new circuit breaker and came right back to replace it. I'm happy with the service - prompt and courteous - but I am not thrilled with the high cost. The service call was $89 and a new circuit breaker should cost only $20-$30. I was charged $331.50 total, which I've been told by neighbors is very, very high for such a simple fix...Oh well. At least my furnace turns on now.

Their service was nothing but professional, friendly, and helpful. Thomas himself called and spoke with me to set up the estimate. Their price....literally thousands less then others, professionalism, and ease of working with them convinced me I had a winner so I scheduled both to be installed. After several years of flooding in my basement and seeking assistance from multiple plumbers across…read morethe area, I finally had someone come out who took my issue seriously. Mike was my Drain Tech and he was the absolute best. Not only did he take the time to really listen to my concerns, he was empathetic as he explained to me what needed to be done. Never in my life have I been so happy about having repair work done in my home. I am really looking forward to gaining some peace of mind. Others literally just came out and did what they were asked. If I suggested something or asked what else I could do, I was always greeted with a stale response. I'm a big believer that great service comes from a persons sincerity and how they treat others. Chesterfield Service seriously passed the vibe check. I will definitely be in touch for other things.

Blake was the service technician that arrived at my home this morning to address several plumbing…read moreissues I had, faucet concerns and replacement. He was very polite and respectful while in my home, even wearing protective shoe covers. He arrived at 8:00am as scheduled and spent 2 hours completing a "Home Diagnostic Inspection" which included examining all my hot water heaters and ALL plumbing fixtures throughout my home which I was not expecting. He then presented me with a service plan at $60 per month for a maintenance plan which gave me a discount on future services (10%) and a 50% discount on the service call fee of $119.00. He also gave me a bid on replacement cost for several faucets which I felt was a little bit higher than I was willing to pay. He said I could buy my own parts but the installation charge would be higher. I told him "Thank you but no thank you". He gave me a bid for the removal and installation of the 'Insinkerator' instant hot water dispenser that I had already purchased. The bid was extremely higher than I ever expected! But, the technician was here and I wanted it done, however I only elected to have ONE faucet replaced which made the price go up! Long story short, I was charged $815.36 for the installation which took One Hour and Fifteen minutes (I provided the part). In addition to this, I was charged $119.00 for the service call fee! I paid a total of $934.36 and 2/3 of the time he was here was spent on trying to sell me a service plan for my plumbing, H-Vac system as well as my electrical needs for $60 A MONTH! Then, you get a whopping 10% discount on the service call fee! I calculated that this service call was $12.47 per minute! I contacted the company customer service representative to talk about what I thought was an extremely high charge and all she could offer was that they have to pay for gas, tools and expenses! She also reminded me that I signed and agreed to the bid (she told me this 5 times). I told her I DID agree that that was their bid and I paid it! I did not agree that it was a fair price but I did not want to confront the young technician. I called HER to discuss the issue, to see if she thought that $934.36 for 1 hour and 15 minutes labor was fair. She did! Call this company if you have money to burn but you will get your work done politely.

A human answered the phone on the 2nd ring at lunch time during the work week. Within 10 minutes we had scheduled an appointment time. At the appointment time, it wasn't just a rookie or a salesman, the owner of the company came to my house. He was a nice old guy and was very honest. Unlike the other companies I talked to, they were ready to go and get a new system installed on my schedule instead of theirs. The day of the install it was pouring down rain. The installer called me to tell me they were running a bit late, but they actually showed up 10 minutes early to the appointment. It took 2 days, but I now have a new working system in my house. They also diagnosed a malfunctioning sump pump and installed a new one for me at no extra cost. These guys are great and I would highly recommend them.

Well, this summer as we experienced our hottest heat wave, the nearly 40 year old system finally died. Galmiche's came back out, gave us a new bid and had a new system installed within four weeks of our old system dying. Over a month later the AC wasn't working again. Galmiche's came out, found a problem and fixed it, on warranty. A couple days later the AC stopped working again. The same technician came out, did a deeper dive and determined that a part hadn't been replaced that should have been as part of the complete install. The company warrantied the repair again, accepting responsibility. All in all, I've been very pleased with Galmiche's. Their price, their courteousness, their promptness, and their integrity. I recommend them, and will definitely consider them when our second system (we have a two system house) finally kicks it.
