I scheduled a move-out clean for my condo with Merry Maids. $300 for a 2-level, of about 1800 square feet. I had cleaned the unit when I moved out, but wanted to have it done professionally before bringing renters in. I say that to illustrate that there were some areas that needed more attention (bathrooms/wood floors) but overall the place was decent (certainly clean enough for company). After being assured that the sliding glass doors would be cleaned and that their general move out clean included the exterior of cupboards and appliances, I still found dirt on the cupboards. The tracks for the sliding doors hadn't been vacuumed and the doors hadn't been cleaned. None of the blinds were dusted and there was still dirt on the baseboards. I called to follow up with MM and explain what hadn't been cleaned the first time around and they arranged to have the crew come back out to do it right. They paid more attention to areas that I referenced in my follow up call but the floors were still lacking in cleanliness, as were the baseboards. The kitchen isn't that big, I could have done the job with some paper towels in under 10 minutes - which I did afterwards. MM did not call to see if the job was done satisfactorily the second time.
As a positive, MM was able to quickly to schedule the appointment and answered questions about their services well over the phone. If you're pressed for time and just don't want to do the work yourself, and pretty clean will suit your needs, then MM can do the job.
