I had my wedding dress alterations done here and was not impressed. There were a couple places where I had chunks out of my lace and it wasn't completely straight. Worst of all, the bustling done on my dress did not stay! She charged me for 5-6 clip spots but only put 3, which did not support my dress. It weighed them down so much it broke. I had to hold my dress the entire night! Paying over $600 in alterations, I was extremely disappointed. At that point I shouldn't have even bothered getting my dress bustled because it only lasted 30 minutes anyways. read more

I needed two jackets zippers replaced and one pair of jeans mended. I brought a zipper for one of the jackets. This place is located inside the south Missoula Textiles location. First, it's hotter than hell in that place! Second, of the three ladies working there, they all looked totally pissed that I walked in. I went to the main counter, they sent me to the alterations counter.... now THIS lady sealed the deal for me. She didn't even approach me or the counter. When she looked up at me she said "what?". I told her what I needed, showed her the zipper I had brought, she audibly sighed. "I'm not using that zipper." I asked her why not and she barked, "Fine. I'll use it!" She scribbled on a piece of paper and nearly threw it at me. I really should have told her to shove it and taken my clothes elsewhere.... but I work crazy hours and I figured that everyone is allowed a bad day. Two weeks passed and I went in to pick up my order, still 100 degrees. I went to the main counter and the woman there looked over the rim of her glasses, rolled her eyes and said "yeah?" I picked up my $75 repair order and got. the. hell. out. The alterations were well done. If you're willing to be treated like crap, the work was good. (That's why TWO stars rather than one.) What happened to customer service? They couldn't work up a simple "Hi"? Customer service is HUGE for me. I'm not a total snob, but at least treat me like I'm human. I've already told friends about my experience and they have taken their business elsewhere. I wouldn't go back even if I was paid to go back. read more
