The female dental assistant who cleaned my teeth is fantastic. She is thorough, extreemely personable and explains everything. I absolutely loved her and will make sure I get her again. I know that, while you may not get the touchy feely service you would get from a dentist who took care of your teeth since childhood, its nice that there is an affordable and friendly alternative. I mean, really...how many private dentists you know will examine and Xray your teeth for free right off the bat? Private dentists are great if you have special dental needs. (Dr Souloitis in Bradford is one) But for those routine cleanings and simple fillings, its better to have someone affordable than nothing at all

A tale of two dental offices part 2…read more This is Family Dental. The ONLY Family Dental. There's another place called Dr. Dental and don't let them try to confuse the matter, they are NOT the same company. I had gotten this dental office confused with the Dr. Dental on Lincoln St. because the other place has a sign out front that says Family Dental. So when my friend recommended Family Dental I went to the wrong place in error. Don't make the same mistake I did. I went to Family Dental on October 6 after a horrific visit at the other place in July. I called at the end of September and they were able to see me pretty quickly. I wanted to get in during my vacation to get the cleaning done before my dental insurance ended. I had gone in person to make the appointment so they gave me the paperwork to fill out for my visit. I had to make sure the other place hadn't billed me for a cleaning I never got, and the receptionist was really helpful in checking with my insurer to make sure there wouldn't be an issue. I arrived on time for my 11:45 AM appointment. Barely had time to sit when they called me to bring me to the room. The hygienist did x-rays and a thorough cleaning. The dentist came in and checked everything over and made sure I wasn't having any problems with my teeth. All in all they were so nice, accommodating and prompt I plan on keeping them as my regular dental provider. I don't have dental insurance anymore so I'm hoping that basic cleanings are affordable so that I can continue. 4/6/11 Update: Consistent! Went back for my next 6 month cleaning. Still the same great people, same great service. Took my coat off and didn't even sit down before she was ready for me. Left with sparkly clean teeth!

I had been going to this office for years. I enjoyed the original dentist that was there and he…read moredid a great job on my teeth. Then Dr. Korzeb came in after he left and I stayed, hoping she would be as good. She wasn't. Not only does she not listen, she talks down to people and basically gets up and walks away when questioned. Besides the fact that I finally changed Dentistry's because of her poor work, I was advised at new dentist that I had periodontal disease, something neither the hygienists nor she advised was happening to me! I had mentioned several times that my gums felt raw and they bled, etc. and the only thing she cared about was me getting a "bridge" and not dealing with the whole gum. She recently replaced an old cap ( I had had it for a dozen years and it was time). She did an awful job matching it and lining it up. When I asked if it could be reshaped better at least she simply said that it's because of the way my mouth was shaped and that it was fine (see pic below, left side was previous cap, right side what she replaced with). Not to mention other caps she originally put on (or supervised because she ALWAYS has an assistant do it poorly) have continuously fallen out (and I was eating soft things like a croissant and mashed potatoes! She told me to not eat hard things....um, what???) They have no idea what they are doing. I would not recommend this place at all and especially not Dr. Korzeb.

Devon had left the practice and unfortunately I was put with another hygienist, who was not terrible, but nowhere as friendly and attentive as Devon. Unfortunately, I was a few weeks late paying a $40 copay. I had payed the $40 payment and when I tried booking my next cleaning, Wendy had told me that my insurance was not activated and i could not book for a cleaning. I spoke with my insurance company, and they told me they never were inactive so they were also unsure as to why Dr. Bower's office could not book me for my cleaning. Today I called and spoke to Laurie where she told me because I was late on my $40 payment (which had not gone to collections) they decided to remove me as a patient of their practice. I have Delta Dental/ BCBS of MA Preferred PPO plan. It's not as if they weren't being paid top dollar from my insurance company. I was removed as a patient for a $40 late co payment.
