Soooooo.. We lost power so we decided to go to NH to escape the hell of no power or water. I found the place on booking.com. ok price with free breakfast. So charming farm home. With covid 19 I wish they enforced people to wear a mask. People inside in common area with no mask. So I asked for a room with outside entry. I had to sneak in my therapy animal. Opps but another guest had 2 dogs and they were running wild outside. The pool had cloudy water the time I was there. The river was beautiful but no clue where the beach was that they show in the pictures. The food.... Breakfast. One day we had a couple of good choices. I ordered the eggs benedict but wasn't that good at all. I asked for a couple of slices of bacon and they said they would have to charge extra... But the guy just added it with no charge. My son ordered French toast and bacon. The next day menu changed and all I could get was scramble eggs or pancakes. The scramble eggs were gross and looked like a tablespoon size serving of potatoes . 1 slice of bread for toast and small pieces of bacon. My son order chocolate chip pancakes but they just plays chocolate chips on top of really gross pancakes. You are offered coffee or hot tea along with some thing they called orange juice but it was more water than actual orange juice it was absolutely disgusting. The tables were very disgusting we found pieces of bacon in parts of the table as well as crumbs the tables were sticky as well. Dinners- ok cooked steaks with a small scope of smashed potatoes and side veggies no seasoning. I would def try another spot to stay at when going to north conway

Stained sheets. The point of white sheets in a hotel is to bleach them when this happens.

Came here with my family for a weekend. We had to change the dates due to a storm and they were accommodating. We showed up at 2pm and asked if the room was ready to which we were given attitude like it was the craziest request, not to mention they have the latest check in time for a hotel (4pm). The man at the front desk acted like we knew how to get to the room because when we asked where it was he gave us a sarcastic response. Rooms were beyond out dated. Two pictures on the walls and a head board that was barely even painted. When we got back to go to bed we just hopped in. It wasn't until the second day that we noticed the sheet had a stain so we decided to look at the second bed to find a massive stain that was obviously there for a long time. The breakfast was definitely just heated up in a microwave. We appreciate the free food but would rather pay a little extra for a nice meal that wasn't cold. The server was the nicest part about the experience because the host was horrible. The hotel makes it seem like they have a spa area with a hot tub and sauna. However, you have to reserve a spot for the hot tub and the latest you can go is 730. The sauna is in a separate area. Definitely not what we expected. If you're looking for something cheap I guess this is the place to go. The rooms are so dirty and dusty and customer service is awful.

The back colored mold on the bathroom ceiling at Merrill Farm Inn!

I will start by saying that we made attempts to register these complaints with the management (both at check out and in an email survey we were sent) and have heard nothing back , so we feel that we should warn other travelers about our bad experience which the management seems unwilling to acknowledge or fix. My husband, kids (ages 5 and 10) were looking for a quick Labor Day getaway to North Conway and our usual place was all booked (Old Field House, love them). We decided to try Merrill Farm despite somewhat mixed reviews. I made our reservation online and mentioned in the "notes" that our son is immune suppressed due to a transplant and we hair wanted to mention that we would prefer a pet free room. We arrived around 8pm Friday night and the check in was friendly and we were informed our room was in a building around the back. The motel room was standard. It was a bit musty smelling and the bathroom had some hair on the floor etc. we always carry our own Lysol wipes (see immune suppressed kid) so while a little annoyed, we wiped it down and went to bed, we understand it's not the Ritz. We spent no time in the room the next day, returned that night at 8pm after a long, fun day and put the kids to bed. As I went in to take a shower I noticed a HUGE patch of black colored mold on the bathroom ceiling. AGH!! The kids were already asleep so we shut the bathroom door and left as early as possible the next morning. On checkout we mentioned our concerns to the teenager working the desk . Obviously the mold hs been there a while, we mentioned that out child was immune suppressed and you put us in that room?! We don't expect our accommodations t be sanitized but a room without black mold would have been nice. She stated that the manager was away for the weekend (weird on a super busy holiday) but she was calling to let him know right away. After we returned home we received an email survey and filled the same information out. In two weeks we received nothing, no phone call, email, apology. Very disappointed. We will not return and have told everyone we know to sta far away!

Absolutely loved our 2 floor loft room! 3 beds, 2 bathrooms and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Wonderful, caring and professional staff and during our stay they were decorating for the holidays which makes me want to come back again around Christmas with the snow and scenery! We stayed 2 nights and should have stayed longer since it's in the center of everything and we loved the room! We definitely will be back again!

My friend and I went to eat at the inn's restaurant for dinner, The Barn. It was a phenomenal meal! The waitstaff was very attentive and the atmosphere felt very warm and cozy. Very rustic looking. The food was equally amazing and we will be back for breakfast.

First, I want to genuinely commend Chris, who went above and beyond and appeared to be one of the only consistent staff members throughout our stay. He was responsible for cooking breakfast, bartending, cleaning, and general hotel upkeep. We were told he had worked 10 days in a row, which speaks volumes about how severely understaffed this property was. His effort was appreciated--but no employee should be carrying an entire hotel. Because of the staffing shortages, cleanliness and maintenance suffered significantly. Several rooms--including one we reserved--were clearly neglected. A chair in one room was covered in marker scribbles, trash cans had no plastic liners, and housekeeping was unable to provide daily room refreshes. For the price paid, daily cleaning and upkeep should be standard. The amenities were especially disappointing. The hot tub was visibly dirty, with sludge and foam present, making it unusable. To make matters worse, all of the outdoor chairs appeared to have been carelessly thrown into a sloppy pile next to the hot tub, completely ruining the area. It looked unkempt, uninviting, and poorly managed--definitely not a space anyone would want to relax in or take photos near. The bar was technically open, but with so few employees, getting a drink involved long wait times, making the experience frustrating rather than enjoyable. Breakfast also fell far below expectations. The buffet was extremely basic and overcrowded, with only ONE waffle machine for a very large number of guests and minimal food option Overall, the cost of this stay did not align with the condition, cleanliness, service availability, or amenities provided. This is not a reflection of the hardworking staff--especially Chris--but rather a serious operational and staffing failure. Until these issues are addressed, this property does not meet expectations for a Marriott-branded hotel.

Otherwise, it's fairly barebones and minimalistic, but very clean. The beds were clean and reasonably comfortable. I didn't try the breakfast at this location but it looked like the usual Fairfield breakfast with cereal, yogurt, waffles, and a couple of hot items (eggs, breakfast meat). The dining area is large and spacious and looked well-maintained. It's a nice touch to have a skimobile in front of the hotel as homage to the past Mount Cranmore resort area that I used to vacation frequently. The staff in front was pretty polite and friendly, though I did not have to interact with them very much. This is a good choice if you wanted a hotel closer to the North Conway Village, though you probably still would have to drive or bike there.

We were randomly assigned room #324 which we thought was so funny because 3/24 is Boyfriend's birthdate so although we usually prefer being on the top floor, we decided to keep it. It was super quiet this time, and we never heard anyone walking upstairs. Very nice gym and breakfast area downstairs. They have a hot chocolate station with toppings and mini marshmallows! And make your own waffles station, again with various toppings, eggs, toast, bagels, English muffins etc. Rooms are spacious with a kitchen area with a full fridge, microwave, even a dishwasher and you can request a cooktop at front desk to cook in the room, probably very convenient when traveling with kids. We loved our stay here and will most likely be back when in North Conway!

Breakfast was maintained by helpful staff who really took care of guests. Gym had a good selection of equipment.

Even without the familial connection, I'd be absolutely in love with this place. Family and friends gathered this past weekend for a memorial hike in honor of my dad, who passed in 2007. Leon and Nellie went out of their way to accommodate us, down to even offering additional rooms when some extra guests appeared and getting up extra early to make us to-go egg sandwiches we could take long on our hike up Mt. Washington. Both our group and the other guests at the Inn were treated like treasured friends in their home and it felt like a big old family reunion for us all. The Spruce Moose is the perfect location---a short walk to the adorable North Conway village, and a quick drive to countless hiking options. The decor makes you feel like you're visiting friends in a luxurious mountain home. Zeb and Avery, the two trusty labs, greet you at the door and will cuddle you on the couch for hours if you let them. The beds are comfy, and the rooms contain no tvs so you can truly enjoy the nature around you (though there IS wi-fi if you need your technology fix). Breakfast in the morning is delicious and filling. Tea and coffee are available at any time. It was an amazing weekend, in no small part to Leon and Nellie. I will be back to the Spruce Moose the next time I come to North Conway!

One thing that I didn't like was the wall air conditioning units. Like the last time we were there, it turns off in the middle of the night, ugh! The sheets were kinda scratchy as well. Standard amenities: hair dryer (works well!), iron and ironing board, safe, in room Starbucks coffee, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, lotions, cable, alarm radio/clock What I like about this hotel is the attached water park and the fun activities they have for the kids. Nightly marshmallow toasting (not a smore! Marshmallow only) and fun things like movie night, pool parties, arcade, and kite making activities. Plenty of parking but far away from the rooms on the left side of the hotel.
