During my most recent visit, it was the Bangkok that caught my eye. This drink, which was vegan as is, featured Vegan Condensed Milk, Espresso, Oat Milk and Nutmeg. It was a very light, not overly sweet drink. Score another one for Vent. The ambiance of Vent is pretty interesting as one side of its warehouse inside is a cafe with bar, table and bench seating and the other is the roastery. I love to order my drink and then watch the roasters do their magic. Vent has a lot of merch, bags of coffee, canned cold brews, etc for sale in their small shop. Previously I've purchased some of their bags and canned cold brews. Both were exceptional. I'm not in Vent's area often but when I am, I make it a point to stop for a visit.

In fact, during the week they close at 6pm which is pretty generous hours for the area. Every time I come in, there's plenty of people remote working from one of the many cafe tables or at the bar. The ambiance is quiet and relaxing, unlike other coffee shops where music or conversations might be loud. The prices are typical for their speciality lattes, around $7 on average. I recently ordered their seasonal caramel latte and it was delicious. Perfectly sweet with a beautiful foam heart on the top! I wish I took a pic. I will definitely be back and need to add Vent into my regular rotation of WFH spots.

The ticket includes a behind-the-scenes tour of where the magic happens, a drink, and a bottle of whiskey that you get to create yourself. Yes, it felt like being back in chemistry class all over again, but way more fun! The venue itself is beautifully decorated. There's a large bar area where you can sit and enjoy a drink, and they also sell snacks (which is definitely a plus because no one should drink on an empty stomach). There's a restroom near the bar, plus additional bathrooms down the hall connected to the venue. They also have an area where they display the bottles of whiskey they sell. *I purchased a bottle of Eubie's Knees to make hot toddies when sick* The location is in a warehouse-style district with other establishments nearby if you want to explore before or after your visit. I noticed an ice cream shop and a coffee shop, which adds to the overall experience. Greg, our tour guide, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the entire whiskey-making process. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would absolutely come back to do this again!

We started off with a delicious welcome drink while learning a little bit about the history of Baltimore whiskey. They then take you on a tour of the distillery, and I've been to a handful of distillery tours, but this one was my favorite just because of how personal and small it felt. It felt intimate and hands-on, not rushed or scripted. After the tour, you come back and start the process of creating your own 375ml bottle of whiskey. I'm personally not a big whiskey drinker, so I created a bottle for my boyfriend, which he loved. He especially enjoyed being able to try different whiskeys and learn what he really liked. If you have a whiskey drinker in your life, this is the perfect gift. Our tour guide (I didn't catch her name) was very attentive and a great storyteller. I hope to come back another time to grab drinks and explore more of the area!!

I can confidently say that everyone that recommended this place was right. I had the Seoul skillet with pork belly, kimchi and mushrooms and wow, was it good! The flavors melted perfectly and it was the epitome of a well balanced breakfast. Service was fine - a bit slow, but they were incredibly busy, so I don't fault them at all for that. One thing I do hate is having to continuously ask for my water to be refilled, and I was left with an empty glass quite often but again, they were swamped so I do understand. Ambience is very interesting here, I don't know that I have ever been to a more eclectic restaurant. The decor is all over the place but it really does fit the vibe so I say this with zero negativity. It's quite tight in the space but that's totally fine. Overall I will 100% be coming back and would recommend anyone else do so.

The Filipino breakfast with rice, longaniza & egg accompanied by a mango slaw. My only complaint is the rice needed way more garlic. Everything else was on point. The second meal was Shakshouka and it was delicious. I'd change nothing. It's an open kitchen with the seating of a somewhat rustic atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. I'd definitely recommend.
