I was in need of some basic maintenance on my rain gutters and downspouts and had discovered a business card that had been left on my doorstep from AB California Roofing. I gave them a call & texted and received response within 30 minutes. I scheduled an appointment for a quote the next day and ended up setting up all maintenance, which included the following: gutter cleaning, replacement of cracked/ damaged roof tiles, repositioning slipped roof tiles, cleaning out all dams, clearing out all downspouts and rain gutters, and adding a custom wire mesh leaf guards topper on all gutters. Not the plastic ones that dry out & break down overtime due to the elements. ( bonus!) I was extremely pleased with Antonacio's, the business owner's work as he is both conscientious and detail oriented in everything he does. Mindfulness & professionalism: Antonacio took pictures of everything on my roof that needed to be addressed, which he shared with me for approval before he completed any repairs and/ or maintenance.

The first day of the project there was fighting, yelling, and the use of obscenities on my property. I received multiple calls from neighbors because they were causing such a scene. I later learned that one crew member was visibly intoxicated while speaking with one of my neighbors. After leaving, he backed the work truck into someone at a liquor store, attempted to leave the scene without providing any information, and then drove again and ended up crashing into a ditch. We have many young children in our neighborhood, and knowing that an intoxicated worker was driving in our area is incredibly disturbing and unacceptable. I reached out to the company and was told they apologized to my one neighbor that called them and the employee was being dealt with and it wasn't a big deal. Turns out this employee was a family member they were protecting. I also requested some kind of financial compensation and wasn't offered anything! Then I received the final bill for the project and they had not finished the gutters or roof vents. I went on vacation with my family for a week and received 9 phones calls demanding payment that was not due for another few weeks. After I paid the bill I was told they would come out and finish the job, then was sent another bill after completion with extra added charges. This project has been an absolute nightmare and clearly this company only cares about making money. What should have been a straightforward roofing and gutter installation has instead become a headache of poor craftsmanship, and serious concerns about professionalism and safety. He asked if I wanted leaf guards on the side of our house where the neighbors trees hung over our roof. I didn't and he left. A month later I could see why he recommended the leaf guards. I called him and he installed them in a few hours. The gutter color he suggested works well with the colors on our house. We're very happy with the quality of the gutters and his work.

Brett came out for a bid; he was very professional and a provided some recommendations based on some problem areas I had. His bid was comparable to others however he stood out based his professionalism, flexibility, price and creativeness for the trouble areas. The install was on time and went smoothly. After the first rain, I noticed there was a need for a couple more downspouts due to rain collection. Brett came out within in two days and added two downspouts with no additional charges. I highly recommend Brett to anyone who needs gutters.

I would like to give the highest possible marks to Ramirez Quality Roofing. The owner, Arnoldo…read moreRamirez, arrived promptly to inspect the tile roof and explain the problems and remedies clearly. His goal was to provide the proper fix, but I never felt he was trying to "sell" anything. Arnoldo promptly emailed an estimate for the necessary services. It, too, was fair and with the clear caveat that additional work might be required once the broken and misplaced tiles were removed. I agreed to the proposal and he quickly emailed me a professional contract and an appointment for the job only three days later (the contract was signed by both of us after arriving to do the job). Again, Arnoldo and his assistant, Benjamin, arrived promptly and immediately went to work. Other problems surfaced with the roof due to previous shoddy work by another contractor. Arnoldo replaced the fascia on the edge overhang and a tail rafter. He also used matching house paint so it was as if the dry rot never existed. Many more tiles also needed to be replaced than we anticipated. Arnold and Benjamin worked hard all day and completed the job beautifully. At the end of the day, I had my checkbook ready to pay, but Arnold said I should wait to pay him until he worked out the final details. Never in my life has a contractor left the job trusting me to pay rather than with their hands out. I was certain the cost of all the additional repairs must have at least doubled the original estimate, but when I received the final bill, it had risen by less than 15%! Kudos to Arnoldo and Benjamin for their professionalism from beginning to end. Five stars + is my rating for Ramirez Quality Roofing.
