For the last few years, I have watched almost everyone in my neighborhood get their roofs redone,…read moreand a while back one of my neighbors hired Alex Perez Roofing. They stood out. They appeared to be working harder and faster than any other roofing crew I had seen, and they got the job done in 3 or 4 days instead of the typical 5. When I got a letter from my home insurance company stating that they would cancel me if I didn't get a new roof (the same thing has happened to most of my neighbors, I suspect), I called Alex Perez Roofing, plus two other companies for comparison. Alex himself came out, and he spent a long time talking to me and my partner about the job. He answered all of our questions. He didn't have a slick sales presentation like the other two roofing companies that we called. As a former roofer himself, he was more focused on explaining the dynamics and the work of the job, rather than trying to get us to agree to a a top-tier "premium roof package." Unsurprisingly, his bid came in lower than the other two companies I called. In an apples-to-apples comparison (50 year warranty, special venting at the top of the roof line) his company had the best value. His guys showed up on time, worked hard, were very polite, and left the job site clean. On the office side, Alex's staff kept me well-appraised on where we were in the process, and when invoices were due. When additional dry rot was discovered after the roof was pulled off, his office staff emailed me a comprehensive report and photos, and they had a lengthy phone conversation with me about it at my request, ensuring that all of my questions were answered. Alex also dropped by the job site regularly to check on things. The whole crew struck me as honest, regular working people just trying to get the job done, never trying to upsell me on any special packages, warranties, or guarantees. I would recommend them, or at least suggest that you call them out for a bid to compare them with what some of the bigger companies are offering.

After the work was done, Andy took the time to explain possible problem areas of my roof that I should be aware of in the future. I appreciated the extra bit of information, as all too often people take the roof over their heads for granted and don't think about it until it's too late. He is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. If you are in need of competent roof work, call Galaxy.

Unfortunately, I made an appointment this Spring with Andy to do the work he suggested last Fall. The day came, but Andy did not. I called and asked where he was, and he said he didn't want to do the work, as our roof was too steep. I was quite surprised, and disappointed, by this. However, I'm giving 2* because he was nice enough to give the name of another company he felt would do the work. (Sadly, that company failed, too!)

They left no mess behind. At no time did I feel like any of these employees were in too much of a rush to do good service. Owner Brandon was present while the work was being done and hands on! The price was very fair and Powers doesn't try to reel you in with the shady practice of offering you a phony discount on an inflated price. Great job, Powers! FIVE STARS!

We hired Harlan Quality Roofing, Inc for a roof replacement that included chimney saddle and step…read moreflashing work. Shortly after completion, we experienced a significant leak near the chimney during a controlled water test. We repeatedly asked for photo/video documentation of the original water testing and requested a controlled retest after additional sealant was applied to the flashing and chimney areas. This was never provided. Because sealant was added after the initial test, it became impossible to determine how the flashing system performed in its original installed condition. Despite our requests for a documented and isolated testing process, the issue was attributed solely to stucco and chase cap conditions without verification of the flashing work included in our contract. Communication became increasingly dismissive when we asked reasonable, technical questions about how the leak source was isolated and verified, and the matter was pushed toward final inspection without the testing we requested. We also had concerns about billing transparency during dry rot repairs. We had to repeatedly request documentation showing where repairs were made, how many hours were spent on new work versus items already included in the original contract, and how labor time was calculated (including delivery and travel time billed at the same rate as on-site repair work). The initial invoices and explanations were vague, and only after multiple follow-ups did we receive partial clarification and a small credit for duplicated labor hours. While the company was responsive in replying to emails, we were left to identify gaps in documentation, testing, and billing ourselves rather than being provided clear, proactive transparency. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend that future customers insist on detailed documentation, clear labor breakdowns, and controlled verification testing when leak diagnosis or change-order billing is involved.

Henry was available within 24 hours so we made an appointment. He arrived when he promised and did a great job. I actually messed up - I thought I had enough shingles on hand, but I didn't. Henry simply said, "no worries" and ran off to get some. When he finished, he asked for less than his estimate (which I refused. A deal's a deal and he deserved the full amount). I recommend Gómez Diaz Roofing with no hesitation. A few days before the appointment, Kyle, the technician, called to make sure he understood exactly what I was looking for. He was attentive, responsive, and professional throughout the process and arrived on time for the inspection. Kyle thoroughly inspected my concrete tile roof and then walked me through his findings in a clear, approachable, and professional manner. He showed me the photos he had taken and explained what he was seeing. He even repositioned a concrete roof tile that had shifted out of place and reconnected a gutter hook that had come loose during the inspection. Afterward, he sent me a link to clear, high-resolution photos from the inspection. Most importantly, he was honest and straightforward in letting me know that my roof did not need any repair or maintenance work at this time. I really appreciated the professionalism, thoroughness, communication, and transparency. I would highly recommend Straight Line Roofing, and especially Kyle, to anyone looking for a roof inspection or evaluation.

**Above and beyond roofing work -- highly recommend!**…read more Jason Hope, Cris Espinoza, and Tommy did an outstanding job on our roof. They set clear expectations from the start and communicated well throughout the entire project. They worked hard and were completely responsible and accountable. At one point they accidentally broke a skylight, but instead of cutting corners, they went above and beyond to get it repaired properly and made it right. They also cleaned up thoroughly after every single day of work, which we really appreciated. The finished roof looks even better than it did before. I also want to recognize Jose and Adrian. When the inspector required additional work on the roof, Jose took the time to clearly explain the cost differences so we knew exactly what we were paying for and why. I had a lot of questions about the cost breakdown for the sheeting, and it was pretty confusing to me, but Jose was so patient and kept explaining it different ways until it finally clicked. Adrian set us up with our initial consultation and spent over an hour working through pricing with us to get us a great deal. He respected my budget and kept it at the forefront the whole time, which made me feel truly seen and heard. Anytime I had a question or needed help with financing, he was there for me. This whole team was trustworthy, detail-oriented, and easy to work with from the first consultation to the final walkthrough. Highly recommend!!!

Guy apparently just eyeballed it--it's a two story home--and they came back with a ball park estimate. I asked how you can give an accurate estimate of a repair without actually seeing the affected area up close, and the receptionist responded "based on his experience." Meanwhile, the other contractor we had out did go on the roof, took multiple pictures, and gave us a detailed estimate, which was the one we chose. So I can't comment on this company's repair work--could be great--but their estimate process is not thorough, and I can see how it would lead to "surprise" change orders down the line.
