We visited Myrtle Beach for softball at the Ripken Experience Spring Training Complex. I reserved a condo through Casago at the Meridian 503 for 5 nights. The process of reserving was fine. We arrived on Sunday, walked into the condo and everything looked ok at first overview. On Monday morning, we noticed a few roaches crawling around the kitchen going into the living room. We killed what we saw and I contact Casago by phone. Casago documented my complaint, asked me to take pictures to send and made sure to tell me immediately that another room option was not available and that our rental agreement included a no refund policy. They explained that an extermination request had to go through the HOA and was not scheduled or controlled by Casago. We googled what we could do to try and prevent any roaches getting into our belongings and did the best we could. On Tuesday morning, we saw adult roaches crawling around the bathroom. By Tuesday afternoon, I still had not received any updates about my complaint or extermination. I called Casago, spoke with a nice lady but she had no updates for me. I continued to let them know by phone and on the VRBO app messaging system how unhappy I was with this issue. Later Tuesday evening, Casago messaged me through VRBO and told me that the extermination had been done. Wednesday morning, we saw at least 2 more adult roaches crawling around the bathroom. I took pictures as Casago requested and sent them to Casago in the VRBO app. They responded telling me "it's common to see increased activity shortly after treatment as the products begin working and flush pests out of hiding", that they understood how "unsettling this must have been" and apologized. All they said was that they had noted my concern, added follow up for possible compensation and would review after departure. My departure was scheduled for Friday, so basically, they were waiting until we checked out to review our situation. I took that as they expected us to just deal with the roaches crawling all over the condo until our departure. I took pictures of unclean, unattended areas such as under the appliances and bed. I sent the pictures to Casago and explained that these unclean areas may be part of the roach problem. I found a pair of adult size pink crocs under my bed which were left for who knows how long. I suggested that Casago check on their cleaning company because obviously, they weren't doing their job correctly. They thanked me for bringing this issue to their attention and still had the audacity to say "we hope you enjoy the remainder of your stay". How were we supposed to enjoy the remainder of our stay with roaches crawling all over the condo??? We returned to the condo around 10:30pm Wednesday and we walked into 20 or more roaches crawling EVERYWHERE! There were roaches crawling on the floor in the living room, roaches on the walls, countertops and even coming out from behind pictures hanging on the wall. By this time, I had all I could take. I immediately began packing up our belongings, called another hotel down the street, reserved the rest of our stay and we left the Meridian. This new reservation was $525 which was almost the cost of our entire 5 night Meridian stay. There was limited availability at 11:00pm on Wednesday night and it's all I could find. After midnight, I sent Casago a message through the VRBO app to let them know we had left the room. They responded to remind me of what they had already responded to me with, told me they'd get in touch with me once my concern was reviewed and made sure the enforce that the Meridian has nothing to do with our reservation. My thought was, why do I care about that? All I was wanting was resolution for this disgusting health issue of roaches all over the condo. Today is Wednesday of the next week, and I have yet to receive a resolution for this horrible experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! read more

Rented thru airbnb. Didn't research it...just wanted to get away a few days. No where in rental agreement stated we could not park in lot next door. Nothing on parking pass stated park only in garage and not the huge lot next door. 160.00 tow fee, uber cost and uncontrollable feeling of panic thinking it was stolen. No one got back to us....maintenance man very helpful. Needs a deep clean, patio door a mess, fan filthy, clock doesn't work, lighting in bedroom bad, lamp doesn't work in living room. Unit 208. We stayed here via Airbnb. We had an oceanfront view and were very pleased with the location. The elevator and lobby were dirty and flooded with water. These units are privately owned. It was too far to walk to the tourist attractions & gift shops but were happy with the surrounding restaurants. First I'd like to state that I bought my reservation on Groupon. Although I feel like that should not have determined my experience I felt it necessary to mention. Groupon had a special for $41 a night plus tax so total for the room for two days was $140.53. In addition to the Groupon subtotal we were told we would have to pay $100 security deposit, a $35 cleaning and a $8 daily "resort" fee. However when we arrived, the taxes/resort fee came to $73.45 (with the "resort" fee being $15 a night plus the $35 cleaning fee leaving $9.05 "for tax"). We did however have 3 options for our security deposit and opted for a $39.99 fee covering $1,000 worth of potential damage (unrefundable). But let me rewind because before we got to this point, we waited 30 minutes with no other staff in sight to check in. We called the phone 3x's, and the number provided on Groupon, as well as the telephone operators for meridian plaza (off site). We spoke to a lady named Becky and she was as helpful as she could be. She was sympathetic and shared or same sentiment of how ridiculous it was for a desk to be unintended for so long. Once the front desk worker (Raquel) on duty at the time arrived she had food in hand complaining that the Chinese people did not delivery so she had to go pick it up (NOT OUR PROBLEM-BUT OK). We proceeded to check in. Once we got to the room. We were HORRIFIED. What we anticipated was not what we saw. The walls, base boards, and ceiling were stained. It was dated with old, washed out with damaged furniture, dirty toilet, and the lights did not work. We left immediately. Take two- Room 805 was a lot better (strangely enough) however we had a similar problem in which the place was dirty and damaged furniture, it smelled of smoke despite the big no smoke sign on the door, and there were bugs and baby roaches (video attached) in the kitchen living between the cracks of the sink. We told Raquel that we were to exhausted and not financially prepared to deal with this. But we asked about getting an exterminator out (which never came) and a partial refund. Which she agreed to. Dea: was the most helpful and best thing about this place. We wanted to stay out the hotel as long as possible besides to sleep so we had our ticket vouchers printed downstairs for our days activities. Enjoyable and accommodating. Just on a need to know: They close doors at 11 so you have to used the outside elevators to get to your room or walk around the building. Housekeepers don't keep house they just bring towels and take the ones you throw on the floor. If you just need somewhere to lay your head come here you'll love it. read more

We booked this ocean front unit 1202 from a property management company. They provided a code to enter the building and a code to enter our room - very simple. Since the units in the building are all individually owned, they will vary in quality. This unit was updated, clean and comfortable. It has a walkthrough king bedroom and a living room/kitchenette. The balcony has incredible view of the beach and ocean. We liked that it is walking distance to many restaurants, pubs and attractions. The cable TV was non-HD, but since it was a smart TV, we used streaming service anyway. read more

The oceanFRONT balconies are curved in the shape of hemisphere on Myrtle Beach. You cannot possibly find such a breath-taking view from any other oceanfront resorts on the Grand Strand. I recommend looking on Airbnb or VRBO so you can see exactly what unit you would like based on the owner's personal reviews and personal decor and cleanliness. *PLEASE NOTE: Any property you see that says Ocean view in Myrtle Beach, means you will NOT have a direct view. You will see other buildings and have an obstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean. It's cost efficient for people who don't mind an obstructed view. Oceanfront (in Myrtle Beach) means NOTHING is obstructing your view, whatsoever, of the Atlantic Ocean. These are the most desirable rooms because most beach lovers just love being in the living room when they're not out and about and just watching the waves roll as all the stress from there Metro work life, sleep away. *FYI: No matter where you go almost every single unit is privately owned in every single resort. The only reason you can book directly through many resorts is because that personal owner has contracted with the resort to be their property manager. The front desk clerks at the resorts do not care how the unit looks. If someone's next in line to have their unit rented out, that's what you'll get. KNOW THAT MYRTLE BEACH HAS OCEAN-VIEW and OCEAN-FRONT. Beaches in Florida (I'm a native) call all resorts if you can lean far over the balcony and catch a glimpse of the Gulf-of-Mexico, "oceanfront". Take the 5 resort, The Sandpearl Resort, on Clearwater Beach, which was my FAVORITE. I couldn't believe how friendly and kind the culture is out here and the views are just incredible for such an affordable price. Not to mention Myrtle Beach is growing like you could not possibly imagine, and is becoming the hotspot Clearwater Beach eventually became after decades. Word of warning, to anyone considering Florida instead of South Carolina beaches... understand that that is the entire north eastern culture you're trying to get away from, where you either "run the cars over or get run over, AKA: VERY aggressive driving." Will be accompanying you on their vacation ;-). If you're trying to get away from the people that are trying to run you over in the Metro areas in the North east, understand they're coming with you from your state LOL. South Carolina has a TOTALLY DIFFERENT CULTURE. And no where near as friendly as the SC culture.this helps! If you see an aggressive driver, check their state tag. OH!!!!! Since I moved to Myrtle Beach a year ago. I have been watching Florida commercials and let me tell you something! Unsafe. Electrical's are hanging out of the walls. There is no staff. You have to go 8 miles down the road to check in and there is nobody to contact is something goes wrong. The sheets don't fit the bed and there is a nasty mat thing under the sheets. There are ropes hanging hanging over the balconies where there are workers working that speak no English and the balcony door does not lock and has been pried open so may times that it won't even close all of the way Parking is across the street. Black Mold in bathroom duct work and above vanity mirror Black mold in bedroom air duct I'm diabetic and had alcohol and hydrogen peroxide with me, had to use it on some of the area's. On third day someone finally shows up to clean a filthy room. She had a spray bottle half full of some solution and a swifter? She opened bottle and spread liquid on floor then used swifter. Said she didn't do black mold. She had no broom? She had no mop? No cart outside of room with her cleaning supplies. She had a duster mop. She had nothing with her except duster, half filled spray bottle, and her son whom she had clean : Dirty microwave dried food splattered all over and visible fingerprints all over outside Food in stove eyes Dirty Fridge bins These 3 things her son cleaned. The remotes had visible dirt No shower liner- water spilling into floor NO bath matt The whole unit was filthy. I will not be a repeat customer. I have used VRBO in past and had good experience's. Not sure whom is in charge here VRBO or Elliott Beach Rentals, someone needs to step up and do their job. read more

Not at all what we expected. Booked a double suite online; upon arrival they had switched our room type from double to single without notification. Furniture shows extreme signs of wear, bed linen has stains. No carpet so whatever filth is on your shoes from outdoors will be tracked all over the already questionable floors. The manager switched us to a double room on our second day; this one was carpeted (great) but had ROACHES and the balcony door sat open because it had NO LATCH. Elevators and pools dirty. One guest decided to be pool DJ and played his boom box very loudly (loud enough to hear on the beach) at the outdoor pool for hours and just as loud from his balcony the other days. Tiny lobby with one employee at the front desk and that closes at 11 PM. Bring your own toilet paper bc there are no refills. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

Let me help you because nobody helped me. I can't get my money back, but I can make sure anyone who reads this review spends their money elsewhere. Our unit (1401) was aged and outdated. Interesting that the online photos don't show the TV coax cable laying all over the floor. Stay elsewhere. Nobody on-site here. No front desk, no housekeeping, no maintenance that we saw...zero, zilch, nada. You can call a "front desk" number that you have to Google to find. We had no TV service. Called front desk the next day because they don't answer after 5pm. Reported issue with no TV service and no WiFi password. After a bit of back and forth, told me sorry we don't have the WiFi password, that is unique to condo owner. At the same time she assured me maintenance had our issue on the list. That was Tuesday. We checked out on Friday. Maintenance never showed up to resolve the issue with no TV service. There are some nice units in this building, owned by people who care about their guests. The owner of unit 1401 is clearly not one of them. One more thing, there is only one elevator for 15 floors. We arrived Labor Day Monday and luckily it was never an issue for us. I can't imagine what a disaster it is during peak times. And if I haven't convinced you yet to stay elsewhere let me throw this in. Checkout is 10am. I was loading the car at 9am when my wife offered to help me bring down both suitcases. As she was closing the door I said "Hold it, let's check the door code". It didn't work. They had already changed the door code and we hadn't checked out yet. Had I not stopped, we would have been locked out. Still want to gamble staying here? How about this. I called the "front desk" on the day of checkout to see if I needed to do anything special. It's a keyless entry (one of the very few positives) so you don't need to return keys. I was placed on the "black hole" hold. Nobody picked up. I cutoff the call and we pulled out at 10am on the nose. read more

This place is hard to review because each unit is individually owned, but overall it's a very nice place. Our unit in particular was updated and had nice decor. The parking lot is across the street and seems to have adequate space. We came in the off season so never had to park above the first floor. The pool area was clean and maintained minus a bit of a fire ant problem. The guest services were accommodating and helpful. The maid services seemed to get through the rooms for the day in a timely manner. read more

I was very very disappointed with the hotel room, I feel mislead with pictures advertised. This trip was a gift to my daughter who had just graduated high school and she wanted to spend time some one-on-one time with me. Because she's heading off to college and my busy work schedule, our availability only allowed us this time right after July 4th. The location and lobby area was fine but our room was unacceptable. First the front desk clerks were nice & friendly on arriving and departing and the layout of the rooms were good (thus why I selected this hotel) plus I thought ALL rooms were updated. I did like the thought of a home comfort feel (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave,etc...). And the video rental option. But that's where it ended. BAD- Our room was no where close to the rooms on the website or like in other people reviews. To begin with, the furniture in our room was so outdated, the curtains leading to the balcony was torn, the room was peeling and rusted, the dining chair seat was ripped, the entry door was rusted and old..we had to ask for replacement keys twice in one day because the keypad wouldn't work. The back elevator near the poor was disgusting so we only used the front elevator. Housekeeping never came to replace the towels. From the other reviews, I guess the higher the floor you are, the better the rooms. I didn't know before booking that the rooms were privately owned so I see how each room could be different but I feel that I was still duped. Not a good thing about it other than cold air. Air conditioning makes awful metal clinging noise, room smells like old cigarette smoke. Beds are ridiculous $10 yardsale mattresses. Floors are very greasy and need to be mopped. I think someone poured dish detergent on them without rinsing. We had no notice that we would be out of water for 6 hours. Code changes at pool and entrance on 1st every month. We found this out because we were locked out with our belongings in the room. After a day at the beach, most people like a shower prior to dinner. This was not possible since nice water was off. I was told that we would have a lazy river and a few other things.... Nope. Honestly I was stuck between a 2 and 3 but considering everything I decided to go with 2. My husband and I took our first trip together away from our 13 month old son since he was born to come to SC. We chose Meridian because of the great prices and photos we saw online. Of course you get what you pay for. We stayed in unit 1401 which from what I can tell from other reviews is one of the better units. It's one of those rooms where you make it work but luxurious is far from what I would call it. The bed is cheap but sleepable. The tvs are small and blurry picture. When we got here there was sand all over the floor that was the first night neither of us going to the beach. The ceiling fan looks like its about to fall off the ceiling. It made a super annoying noise sounding like it was about to fall out of the ceiling. Cords are strung across the floor. I found a thumb tack under the bed that I almost stepped on, the shower started slowly. All of the kitchen appliances worked though so that was nice the bathroom was clean which was also a plus. It's one of those that I wouldn't come back too though. You aren't allowed to hang your towels on the balcony which I found comical. Like where else are they supposed to hang to dry? The nice couch inside? I think our room was beside the smoking side of the building because we smelt alot of smoke seeping into the room through the windows/door some I can atest wasn't just a cigarette...theres a whole in the wall right outside of the room and the door to the room doesn't go all the way to the floor so of course thats why it stunk. There was one white security guard that really weirded us out, I get that he has a job but he was looking at us if we were inmates and followed us from the parking garage and went to the front of the building then was watching us in our balcony while we listened to the water one night. Just really weird. We had a random pest control dude come to our door with no complaint of pest from us and no call from management warning us he was coming which was frustrating. Just overall not super relaxing in my opinion when thats what a vacation is supposed to be. If you do book here just be aware that all units are owned by individual people so all rooms are not the same. Just be informed thats all. read more

They cancelled my reservation without notice after driving 4 hours and when I called the next day to get a refund they put me on hold for an hour. I had to go in person and speak to front desk and get my refund in person. I will never book from this place in my life time again!!! read more

We arrived for Memorial Weekend and we had no idea it was Biker Week, traffic held us back 2 hours. The parking garage for the Meridian is across the Plaza. Customer Service was awesome! They tried to accommodate us as best they could and switched our room to the 7th floor with 2 double beds. The room itself was extremely convenient! It has a fridge, a mini kitchen, a small balcony and a view of the ocean! This was a great choice! read more

My wife and I stayed in room 1005 and had a beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset from the balcony. The entire suite was clean and nicely decorated, comfortable king bed, HD TV with free movie rentals, free wifi, a romantic fireplace, and a great (albeit small) kitchen. Both pools and hot tubs were clean, lawn chairs and umbrellas on the lawn near the beach were nice, and the beautiful Myrtle Beach a few steps away from that. Conveniently located to the sights we wanted to see. A friendly staff was only a phone call away to answer any questions we had. read more

Currently here. Not impressed. Sitting on the couch watching a movie and had the patio door open. Had to shut it because our neighbors are smoking pot and the smell is coming into our room. The room is dirty. Gum stuck on the bathroom floor. Dirty counter. Broken cupboard doors. I flipped the mattress to check for bugs and there was food crumbs all underneath the pull out couch/bed. So gross. The couch is hard as a rock. The bar stools are stained. The blankets and pillows don't look like they've been washed. The elevator is scary and feels like it's going to break down. This place is disgusting for what we are paying. The view is nice but I could get that somewhere else. The pools/hot tubs seem dirty. We just got here today and I already can't wait to go back home. read more

I am very disappointed in this hotel. There are so many drastic, different reviews on Travelocity and other sites. I saw such good reviews on Yelp and I couldn't figure out how this is possible to be SO drastically different. I figured out what this "hotel" really is. It is a time share pretty much or individually owned. That is why the reviews vary SO drastically. To start the elevator for the ENTIRE hotel is outside. They don't let you take your things in the tiny lobby and have to keep everything outside. The elevator (and tiny waiting area for elevator) is SO hot you have to keep the door open. If you got stuck in the elevator you would prob die from overheating. We were on floor 10 and the elevator is so slow, I swear to you my sunglasses would fog up and we would sweat so bad by the time we got up or down. I do not see how this is even legal? I can't imagine this in July or August (we were there in June and it was 80s low 90s). The parking to the hotel is across the street and no valet. The elevators there are so bad we only took the stairs. The noises it made were horrific and one time I felt like we got stuck. It was the scariest thing I've ever felt (only took it twice) We lugged our bags up 3 flights of stairs when we left, due to this. Our room was very weirdly decorated as a lot stated, but I could care less about that. I am not there to see famous art work ha! However, I am there to have a clean room. The bathroom floor and cabinets were so DISGUSTING I was seriously so creeped out. The orange caked gunk (the only word I can think to describe this) was horrific. The plug by the bed worked randomly and that sucked when I woke up and my phone was dead for the day.. Sigh... The towels were very thin and worn badly, the shower liner was moldy and disgusting. I complained about about the bathroom floor and cabinets at the hotel desk along with some other things and it didn't really seem like they cared less about anything, nor did the cleaning lady clean it up. The cleaning lady was VERY NICE (and another reason for the second star ha) and you can tell that bathroom is from years of neglect and the supplies and time she has, she probably can't get it clean anyways. The people below us were partying so bad (door open music full blast) I couldn't even hear myself think or sleep. The walls and ceiling in this place are thin like a cheap apartment, not a resort or hotel. The bedroom is like many stated when you first walk in, it's very awkward, but actually helped with the partiers below us being they were at the balcony most of the time and front room. There is nothing in this place... This is more like a motel. Not somewhere you pay over $2-300 a night for. The ONLY thing that was amazing about this place was the view and why they got 2 and not 1 star... 100% breathtaking, but then again you could get that from any hotel on the ocean. The balcony was so outdated and the plastic chairs they bought at the dollar store again.. Not what a nice hotel would have. I have traveled a lot in my life and I have stayed at the nicest hotels and ok ones as well. What bothers me is when someone advertises like they are a resort or hotel, when in actuality they are a motel, with a view. The pool is tiny (Inside and out) we didn't use it, only went into the ocean. We used the hot tub once, it was decent. I would highly suggest you stay elsewhere or just a heads up be prepared for where you are staying. Worst part of everything was this was my boyfriends first time to the ocean and our first big vacation together. Also I was super itchy and read on my legs and arms and my bf got bumps on his chest, I read about bedbugs in some rooms so we checked throughly and we didn't see any. Not sure if it was just dirty or if it was something else. I can't blame it on the hotel, but also can't not blame it on them. :( **** Not the hotels fault, but for the adults I highly suggest you check when seniors first get out of school and do NOT go on that week. Great stay! Felt right at home. We got the oceanfront room and to our pleasant surprise it turned out to be an entire suite, so spacious. It had a bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen, breakfast bar and a balcony. I was so tired after a 7 hour drive from VA beach to Myrtle beach but forgot all about it when I saw the place. Decor was a bit dated but it was cute. There was a weird window that opened to the hallway and wasn't covered with proper blinds but we put a sheet over it so it wasn't see through anymore. Room service was great. Everything we needed and requested was available right away. They gave us a bit of trouble when we requested an ironing board but an iron was available. Kitchen was equipped with a stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and a dish washer. They had pots and pans but we used the disposable ones. Bathroom had a walk-in shower. I loved their products, shampoo and conditioner worked well for my Asian hair. Bedroom had a big closet, long pretty mirror, bed was firm, a dresser, and a TV. Living had sofas and recliners. Balcony was shaped like a semi-circle and opened towards the beach so sunrises were breathtaking. Man! I want to go back so bad just writing about this place. They have indoor/outdoor pools and jacuzzis. The beach right there too so take your pick lol. Parking is across the street in a parking garage. read more

Saw many negative reviews for this place but still gave it a try . I guess it all really depends on the rooms because they're individually owned . We got room 304. Room is very nice . Tile floors . Clean. Ocean front . It's the double suite . It also has a fireplace which is a cool surprise . Have seen a lot of reviews complaining about front desk and elevators ...... elevators have been fine . Horrible horrible experience the front desk should have warned our family when we checked in that it was black bike week. The entire weekend was filled marijuana smoke in the elevators, the pool was filled with loud rap music, scantily dressed overweight people, and obscene language. The room was ok but they do not handle the trash so the bike week folks were just tossing it over the side from 15 floors up. There was broken glass on the side walks and you had to watch for flying debris. I demanded a refund and did not receive one. Reservation ppl confirmed my bill and my bal at check in then sent email $25 higher. Called got it corrected and 2 ppl told me not to check in at Atlantica but to go to lock box at villas. 2am nothing in box, had to go to Atlantic lock box to get codes to go find the 3rd hotel,Meridian plaza.Got in room filthy floors, stained dish, rusted out microwave and rust on fridge. Streamers fro. Previous party guests still.on.walls. charged $39 damage waiver vs $100 refundable security deposit. Told by Reservation ppl front desk to refund. At check in next morning told no, and Mgr would call.Mon about dirty room and $39 fee. No one called. So I did, and was told no to damage waiver to sec deposit cause we were not there. Stayed Fri &Sat. And she could offer discount to stay again. (Not going to happen) Refused to give back any money. I have stayed in better cheap motels. Don't stay in 904 . My husband and I just checked out of this hotel. We decided we won't be coming back. The rooms are severely outdated, the lighting is terrible, the toilet was broken, the room had an old smell, the furniture was old, the WiFi connection was terrible (it kicked me off every two minutes) and there were roaches in our room. The room looks great in the pictures which is why we chose this hotel, but we decided next time we come we'll spend a little more to stay at a franchise hotel instead. read more

We have stayed here before and actually we are on our way back right now!! Last time it was great. Now it isn't luxurious by any means. But it's nice, clean, and is right on the beach!! For the money in this area I don't think your going to find any better. So comments about it not being what the pictures show is true. But keep in mind these are individually owned condos. Each owner is responsible for the decorations and furnishings and such. So no, they are not all going to be the same in that nature. read more

Our experience was terrible!! We were supposed to stay in room 202 but the air condition was not working. Unfortunately, we were not given this information until we packed all our stuff and was literally trying to get into the room. I contacted Hosteeva and Evan (customer service rep) hung up on me after telling me to hold on he was contacting the manager, it took over an hour in the heat with 2 little children to try to contact Hosteeva again to find out what the heck was going on. Hosteeva told us the manager wanted us to choose from room 903 and 306 both are oceanview (again I paid for oceanfront). Room 306 looked better than 903 but it still wasn't a condo I would have chosen for my family to stay in. I went to room 306 noticed stuff was at the door (find out the condo was not ready the lady was still cleaning the room). We had to wait for her to clean the condo and the condo still felt and looked dirty, the balcony door was extremely hard to push open, the ceiling on the condo is stained in the bedrooms and bathroom and the mattress was terrible and old (you can feel the springs in the mattress and in the middle of the mattress it sinks to the boxsprings). The manager of the rooms finally called and her customer service is terrible. She admitted that she should have contacted us, in the beginning, to let us know what happened to the room, she has no integrity, she said she was going to call us back and we are still waiting, we spoke to her on Monday called her personal phone and Hosteeva on Thursday and today is Friday. For our inconvenience, she wanted to let us check out at 1 pm. We told her no we were not interested in staying till 1 pm. We paid for oceanfront and was given oceanview, our experience with the lack of customer service from her and Hosteeva, stayed in a condo we did not like and would not have chosen if we were not in the situation that they put us in. So staying till 1 pm will not erase our experience. We shorten our vacation and left Thursday. read more

This place looked nice from the outside but when we got inside the cabinets was messed up an wouldn't shut,the dishes that was in the cabinets was nasty an hadn't been washed,the couch bed was broken,the remotes the the TVs didn't have batteries we had to go by our own just to be able to watch tv,the outlets was messed up,you had to hit the bathroom light switch just to get the light to work,the light in the bedroom worked when it wanted to,you have to take your trash out an do all the cleaning an everything your self..not that I made picking up after myself an my family but that's what they pay housekeeping for is to pick up the trash an the towels an everything...an to top it all off the heater in the pool was broke so you couldn't really swim cause the water was to cold..We meet someone else who was staying there an they told us how all power to there room just stopped working an the had to move there rooms cause they couldn't get it to come back on..they office was closed all weekend so we couldn't get in contact with anyone or even get anyone to call us back..we never seen one housekeeper for towels or anything..we stayed one night an just went somewhere else cause it was just ridiculous an I don't see myself staying there again..not saying all there rooms looked like ours but ours was by far what they made it out to be..wish it would let me post the pics read more

Paid $260 for two nights, for that amount you expect a little something special. This was by far my worst experience in Myrtle Beach ever, and I have been going there for over 30 years. The hotel was rundown and in serious need of renovation and upkeep. The door key didn't work regularly had to get the service desk up once. The elevators are slow, there is no daily housekeeping service, no ice bucket in the room, the ice machine was in the lobby area which you cannot access after 11 pm. The building was not well insulated to keep out noise, which was loud all night with music and loud vehicles on Ocean Blvd. Just a horrible experience, I will never stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone. read more

This place is so poorly managed and the staff are very rude. It's run-down, dirty, and the rooms are ancient. My biggest complaint though is the staff. Hospitality is a foreign word in this place. First night, my non-smoking room (and the whole fourth floor) smelled like weed and the refrigerator was dirty. I called the front desk at about 845 pm and they said there is nothing they can do about it. They said there is no manager until tomorrow at 9 and I could speak to him (Benjamin). The next day, whenever I turned on the ac, the whole place smelled like stale cigarettes. I asked to speak to the manager three times throughout the day, even leaving my cell phone number to give me a call and he was never in and never got in contact with me. The third say I woke up with a headache from the constant cigarette smell. I had a headache all day. Again I tried to talk to the manager several times throughout the day even leaving a message for him on a number that the front desk gave me and he never got back to me. Finally I said we want to check out and move to another hotel for the remaining two nights and I want a refund for those two nights. Again, no manager was around and the staff apparently cannot do anything without the manager. They said I can check out but they can't guarantee any refund. Eventually after expedia called they said they will refund part of one night! Ridiculous! I tried to get this problem solved for three days and no response from management and then I try to leave and they won't return what I paid fully for my remaining two nights! Also, they don't offer housekeeping service without an extra charge! Found another hotel a few blocks away that is cheaper, much nicer, great staff, and includes breakfast (and housekeeping of course...)! There are much better places with more professional staff in the area for sure! In the end I asked for an itemized receipt three times and never received one. read more

Currently here I'm room 1002. Judging by the site we thought we would get a nice beachfront hotel. We were wrong. Every room is different, apparently, since they are all privately owned. Ours was a little outdated and dirty. There was dirt on the floor and the stucco from the ceiling was falling off onto the bed and table next to it. We are only staying one night so I didn't feel like moving. The elevator seemed unstable. We got in and it kept beeping, telling us it was having technical difficulties. That's scary. Not to mention the numerous pizza places in the area come by every 30 minutes leaving fliers in your door to solicit your business. Regardless of the fact that there is a sign that says no soliciting and you need a room key to enter the elevator, so how are they getting in? I was in my room for an hour and ended up with 12 fliers. From 4 different places. Some actually knocked some just made a lot of noise leaving it in the door. How scary for a woman alone to be bothered a dozen times while trying to relax in her room? No remote for the bedroom tv and the living room tv remote was so filthy we had to wrap a paper towel around it. We came from another hotel and we were staying here for the last night of our vacation. We got a cart to bring our belongings up. I had to carry the majority of my bags cause the carts could only hold 2 suitcases. You can tell they tried to fit as many rooms as they could in this building and no room for anything else. While waiting for the elevator I had to stand outside because there wasn't enough room for me with the luggage cart. It was impossible to maneuver around. The rooms are very narrow and long. Like I said to fit as many as possible. When you go onto the balcony all of them are open and on top of each other. Zero privacy. I will never come back to this place. read more

Hi Everyone, this is not a good place to stay. We are an average family that does not expect anything fancy and this hotel was a disappointment. We stayed in room 1101 and it was absolutely atrocious. The floors and furniture had layers of dust and dirt. The window curtains had about 2 inches of filth on the bottom. The bed sheets were noticeably dirty. The sofa in the living area had a strong vomit smell. AND THE SHOWER was just beyond dirty. The shower liner had soap scum (pinkish color) layered on it from bottom to top which smelled so bad. On top of all this there was no hot water in the shower, we had to fill up hot water from the bathroom sink into buckets and rinse off that way. When I mentioned this to the staff she told me a work ordered would be placed and then went on about the cost of the repair. The guy showed up when we were walking out on the last day. No house keeping services even though it was included in our stay. We did not even removed our belongings from our suitcase. When we approached the front desk women she was happy to help and send house keeping to change the liner and bed sheets but that is all she could do and we had to wait for that. It felt like an abandoned hotel. The inside pool area was also gross along with all other common areas. The outside pool was just an outside pool nothing to it. The only good thing about this Hotel was the location to the beach. I spoke with multiple guest at the hotel and everyone was unhappy with this place. this hotel is lucky i could only give them 1 star and not lower, me and my husband made reservations online for a one bedroom king size suite when we arrived at the hotel early they would not accommodate us with an early check in claiming our king suite wasnt ready yet and we were more than welcomed to wait in the parking garage across the street until 3pm ...mind you it was 11am, so thats what we did, we called around 2pm hoping that maybe with them knowing we were waiting they would have cleaned it so we could check in , when i called she said our king size suite still wasnt ready and guaranteed it would be ready by 3pm, so we waited till exactly 3pm when we entered the hotel the receptionist informed us thay they were out of king size suites...what????? are you freaking kidding me? you told us to wait because our king size suite wasnt ready just to tell us you were out of king size suites...then what damn room were we waiting for these past 4-5 hours??....so then they said they could accommodate us with a double bed suite along with a discount ...ok great....until we got in the room!!! **horror music begin now** !!!! as soon as we walked in there was a horrific smell the bed linen was dirty , the dresser was leaned to the side like some shoes that has been worn too long, it was a dirty toilet brush in the bathroom the room closet had dirty filthy mops and brooms in it and rusty beach chairs, when i asked could they remove them they said they couldnt because they belonged to the owner........the entire experience was and still is horrible cause we are still there and cant move because its spring break week and all other hotels are booked....please do yourself a favor do not i repeat do not come to this hotel!!
