But everyone is kind and caring. Sometimes the wait to be seen can be a few minutes longer than you might wish but I promise you that it's worth the cost. Stick with it! We switched from IU north because we wanted a more natural birth experience and we wanted a prenatal and medical team that could fully get behind those choices. He will make you feel extremely comfortable from day one. He will converse with you during your session. No quiet awkwardness during your time together. The medical plaza is conveniently located off of 465 and West 38th Street (behind LA Fitness) with a large parking lot for all of the Methodist/IU Outpatients. There's a covered drop off and pickup area plus many handicapped parking spaces available. Each building's address number is huge so each address is easy to find. The Infusion Center is located on the 2nd floor with elevators just steps from the main entrance. I was warmly greeted by a friendly woman as I entered the office. Check-in was quick with only a couple Covid forms to complete. My wait time wasn't lengthy until I heard my name called. Barb, my nurse/phlebotomist, was personable, knowledgeable, gentle and terrific at her job. I've been told by so many phlebotomists and nurses I'm not an easy stick. You would never have known that by how easily, smoothly and quickly Barb worked. I didn't even feel the needle go into my arm. For me, once my IV is in, it's all downhill from there since I dread not knowing if it'll be an easy or hard stick. Barb was truly amazing today and made the process stress-free. Time went quickly and before I knew it, the infusion was complete and I was on my way. I highly recommend using this Infusion Therapy Center at IU Methodist Medical Plaza. Parking is FREE and plentiful, the facility is extremely tidy and clean, easy to access with friendly and talented staff plus no long distance walks that I had to deal with downtown at IU Simon Cancer Center. We're both extremely happy with the level of care, respect, and professionalism from the staff. His primary care doctor has been with him almost this entire time! Whenever he needs to contact her, she returns his calls within 24-48 hours, depending on the urgency of the matter. And we're thrilled that prescription drugs are now requested online and shipped to our home. It saddens us to see on the news so often that there is so much negligence at other VA hospitals across the country. We have never received anything but top notch medical care at Roudebush in Indianapolis.

I brought paperwork of my most recent lab work and some tests that had been done on me. Did she want to re-check all my crazy labs? Nope Did she want to look at the paperwork? Nope Did she type out notes while I talked to her? Nope (she said, verbatim, "I'll type this all out later.") She barely listened to my lungs and that was it. This is why I just can't commit to having all my care done at the VA.

There was nobody behind the desk so I checked in on the kiosk and knocked on one of the doors. A Nurse cracked the door open and glared at me as I explained that I needed a DOT physical. She was very rude towards me for knocking on the door and when I tried to explain to her that nobody was at the desk she slammed the door in my face before I could finish my sentence. This was one of the rudest Nurses I have ever encountered. After that I decided to leave and go somewhere else I will not be going back there.

Staff were consistently chit chatting instead of putting patients first, sometimes even WHILE taking care of patients. Overall lacking basic professionalism. My physician took 45 minutes to enter my room, after a two hour lobby wait and lacked even the most basic social skills. Didn't even introduce himself. I had to wait another 15 minutes just to get my paperwork so I could finally leave. Worst healthcare experience I have ever had, and I have to deal with the FAA. I'll never be going back.
