I submitted a maintenance request yesterday evening after my heat went out in the middle of February. I later realized I did not have the correct emergency on-call number. Matt, Maintenance Supervisor, proactively reviewed the maintenance reports on a day when the office was closed and contacted me directly. Had he not done so, I likely would have been without heat for an additional evening. I am extremely grateful for his diligence and initiative. Mike, Maintenance Technician, arrived promptly and resolved not only the heating issue but also the two additional tickets I had submitted. His work was thorough, efficient, and professional. This is not the first time he has assisted me. Mike's consistency in quality and care is greatly appreciated. The customer service experience from start to finish has my full approval. I also value the office's standard follow-up process to confirm satisfaction. That level of attention reflects a strong commitment to service and accountability. No corrective feedback is necessary. He also said he had pictures of me dumping a mattress in dumpster, but refused to show pictures. Will be talking to my lawyer Monday. He also tried to block me with his car. read more

We stumbled across Meridian Meadows because we are dog lovers (especially of the pitty and bully breeds) and we found out so is this complex. We toured the model apartment, there was no townhome to view, viewed an online video similar to the unit we would be renting and decided to apply. Application process was a breeze and communication from the office staff was top tier. Although having a few maintenance issues, they have been thoroughly remedied in a reasonable time. The community here is friendly and quiet and there are so many different kinds of lovely pups! The amenities are solid although the dog park (which can be used by Meridian Township residents) could use some help. People who let their dogs dig giant holes and leave their dogs poop behind are to blame in my opinion. Of course there are things that I would handle differently. However, the team at Meridian Meadows show up to work with a smile and have been kind and helpful. So no real complaints here. read more

We moved into one of the townhomes for a year between jobs, and we loved working with Julie! The unit was pretty small, but it had great appliances and floors, it worked well for just me and my husband. The one thing that was difficult was deliveries. There are many different units with the same exact number, which made it hard to know which was the right place, so we had to hunt for a few packages/doordash orders. Parking is ridiculous. Their staff is rude and usually not available when you need them and when you go to move out, it'll be a nightmare. Along with other people , I wish I could rate this complex a 0. I put in maintenance orders MANY times and despite the fact, the entire 9 months my lease went on the bath faucet dripped and even streamed water which obviously in turn drove my water bill way up. This waiting and then calling back to remind them and receiving no fix happened the entire 9 months of my stay. Also, after doing the initial walkthrough, there were stains on the floor of a "newly renovated apartment". We were told that before arrival these stains would be removed, which never happened. These people are absolutely racist and discriminative and I was sick for about a month and was unable to pay my rent. I usually pay my rent on time and sometimes two months in advance. When I got MDHHS to HELP PAY MY 1 months of rent they refused to take my payment because it was government assistance. I had a check of 2 thousand dollars for them from MDHHS and they refused to take it because it wasn't coming from directly me they then made a deal with the judge to evict me and are now still trying to sue me for that money they could've been had and are now trying to charge me for false damages done to property. They will add miscellaneous charges at the end of your lease up like replacing the carpet and they even take it out of your security deposit even though they remove every carpet after someone moves out this is absolutely sad and not okay. shame on them and how they treat people here. read more

Staff are wildly unprofessional, rude, and racist. Lived in a neighboring property and witnessed a disgusting racist assault & battery. I came to the office to report the event, the woman took out a pen and paper to write notes. The second I mentioned what had occurred (a racial slur and assault), all of a sudden the office staff member became angry and said, "we don't take reports of incidents between community members". Mind you, I came in to report an incident between their community members and before having the details she stated how she was sorry to hear this and wanted details (pen and paper were brought out). They also lied and said that meridian township police had already talked t them. Out of concern for the victim I called meridian township police to verify and they stated they had never even spoken to the officer woman or anyone from Meridian Meadows. I no longer live on the neighboring property and didn't want to deal with them then but need to share my experience. They are disgusting, immoral, and yes racist people "managing" subpar apartments and condos. Have the report for proof. read more

Let me just say Management makes a difference! I live here many years ago and wasn't thrilled with management at the time. But I will say the apartment was nice but we could hear neighbors on both sides. And management took care of the property. I had to interact with the current manager 04.2023. Manager is NOT kind at all. JUST know some people are just trying to get through life and sh.t happens. Whomever owns this place needs to tell current manager to chill OUT. I was trying to locate a resident and was unable to contact the person via phone so stopped in the office to ask for help. The Manager was upset because she was unable to contact the resident. I drove back to the apartment and was waiting. The manager jumped into her car and was POUNDING on her door, she was GOING to write them up. (btw found out the person i was looking for was working) Yes MISS Manger working to PAY rent. ... WTF Lady, life happens and give ppl a break. Life is not easy -- We are all just trying to manage our homes, work, kids, and pets. GET over yourself and don't write her up, i was trying to do a good deed. Takes months for basic maintenance to get done. Dog feces left all over the property. Large trash items such as mattresses and furniture is left in the parking lot for weeks on end. Be prepared to have your packages stolen and your car broken into. Property management doesn't care. Employees have an iota of power and thus would rather threaten you than take responsibility for poor service. I always pay rent on time, I keep to myself. I don't bother others. Doesn't matter though, you'll be treated like trash. Absolutely the worst complex I've ever lived in. read more

I had auto-pay set up for my monthly rent, but I cancelled it because my family was affected by the coronavirus. I was planning on paying a week or two late so we could buy groceries and supplies to last us while we stay quarantined for a while. Even though I cancelled my auto-pay, they still deducted the amount from my account, leaving my account negative. I contacted the property manager to see if I could get temporarily refunded and explained my situation, and she told me there's nothing she can do about it. I will preface this review by saying I have lived here through a divorce, a broken ankle, loss of jobs, pandemic. I have encountered many staff changes and personnel. The maintenance people seem to always be eager and willing to help. The overturning of office staff is worrisome. Upon reading many reviews and talking to past and present residents, the general consensus appears to be that the wellbeing of this community isn't a concern. We used to have community events. Jennifer used to manage and did so with care and compassion. I have now been falsely accused of verbally mistreating staff over a fee they illegally assessed. It's a $50 fee for having trash on my doorstep for 30 minutes until my high schooler came home. They actually called and yelled at me to remove the trash. When I told them I couldn't as I was just out the shower, I was hung up on. I didn't think anything of it until the fee showed up 3 days later. Their bottom line is dollar signs. I am a single mother, times are tough, I understand first-hand. I've had to seek assistance in helping pay my rent. I work hard. I wouldn't expect the place where I safely put my head down at night and know my kids are okay would mistreat people. read more

If I could rate this place a zero I would. I've been trying to contact the office staff about a gnat infestation that I've had since I've moved in back in may. We thought it was from have the doors open during our move so we set traps in hopes it would go away. It got worse as time went on we called the office staff for them to tell us we had to pretty much deal with it until pest control came back in 2 weeks to spray I wasn't home when they came to "spray". I called and asked the office for proof this was actually done and they have not returned my calls it's been 3 days and a month later the gnats only got worse. My family has not been able to cook in our house in almost a month we don't have dishes sitting in the sink so we are confused as to why we have the infestation still. My son gets swarmed when he's drinking a bottle in the morning and it's really nasty. I don't feel safe with my family living in those conditions. Maintenance men are extremely nice but they tend to fix the problem the cheapest and fastest way possible instead of doing it right so they don't have to fix it in the future. Nomatter what you are always gonna be wrong when it comes to the office staff and they like to argue with you about things. They also didn't let me see the apartment until after my lease was signed. One of my neighbors watched us move in right after the people before us moved out. They claimed our apartment was cleaned and I found mouse poop in the cupboards crumbs everywhere the carpet wasn't clean felt nasty and the water came out brown when I cleaned the carpet. There was stains on the carpet that were not cleaned. The cupboards were nasty everything was just nasty and all they did was leave a "gift basket" of cleaning supplies and said our apartment was cleaned. I spent atleast $150 on cleaning products to clean our apartment before we could finish moving in. I wish I would've chose a different place to live. A place that actually cared and listened to the residents. I wanna pay to break my lease and go find a better apartment I'm paying way too much to be living in the conditions that I'm living in. read more

visited a relative here just to see what they are like. They are too small and cramped. I could hear the neighbor using the bathroom and talking. Smelled the smoke from the neighbors home. No closet space what so ever. Living room is small and so are he bedrooms. kitchen is tight. By the way this is a townhouse (2 bd 1.5 baths). Unfinished basement. kind of looks like the projects to me. Would not live here after my visit. too many empty units also made me wonder why. Pictures on website are deceiving. Maitinance also took 2 weeks to get to me when I had multiple issues wrong with my apartment. I'm not one to "Yelp" review but in the joy of finally moving, I am determined to review this on every site possible so as to help any person thinking Meridian Meadows is worth the up charge. Attached are date "shots" of just the leak concern (the same leak each time) that they patch worked for over a year. I even started labeling it differently to see if it would affect responsiveness or concern and it did not. At one point my son and I had all of our towels (so roughly 10-12 spread throughout the hallway so our socks didn't soak. I called after hours maintenance and their response was that maybe they'll be able to get someone out after the weekend). This, on top of the pool being closed more than half of last summer, the delayed and sometimes cancelled work requests despite no one coming to actually check on or even call and consult on the concern as well as rent increasing due to the market with each lease (on the same unit) I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for lodging. There are apartments of the same size and of better reviewed quality throughout Holt and Lansing for, as we just found, as much as $300 cheaper. read more

There are a couple nice employees, but for the most part I've encountered rude and uninformed staff in person and over the phone. My appliances are old and use a lot of energy. My apartment is freezing in the winter and my heat bill is outrageous. The parking lot is FULL OF POTHOLES. Rent goes up each year, but nothing gets fixed or is changed. We lived in Meridian Meadows for 8 months. When we moved in, the apartment was not ready and the whole upstairs had no power. We turned in a maintenance request for this and other issues in the apartment and it took almost two weeks for everything to be addressed. We lived with no power in half the apartment for two weeks which is really just unacceptable. At one point, while living there, they flushed the gas lines in the apartment next to us without saying anything to us. I came home to an apartment that smelled to high heaven of gas and after only 15 minutes in the apartment, I had a headache. I had a kid and pets too and we ended up at staying somewhere else for the night because it was so bad in our apartment. They didn't even offer to have the CO levels checked, so I had to call the power company to have them come out and check them. When i informed maintenance, they didn't seem to see what the big deal was and I had to be the one to suggest that they might want to open the windows of the neighboring apartment to air it out. And when the power company came, they discovered a leak in the hot water heater in our apartment so they turned it off and tagged it. They also refused to allow kids into their own apartment when they accidentally lost their key and it was the middle of winter, I ended up letting them warm up in our apartment until their parents could get home from work. The final straw was when we moved out and it took 63 days to get our security deposit back after I was told it would only take 30. The property manager blamed it on having our wrong forwarding address despite us filling out the correct information on a form as well as emailing her the same address twice. The communication with management is terrible and if you try to call the parent company, Beztek, they will not call you back unless you threaten to call every day, and then they only tell you to "send them an email". This place was beyond frustrating to deal with and I would never recommend anyone having to deal with them unless you like being ignored and pulling your hair out.
