The staff is usually friendly and responsive, but I do want to be honest about an issue that has been extremely frustrating for me and my roommates. For months we've been trying to get help with abnormally high utility bills across four roommates we've consistently been paying close to $1,000 a month in utilities, even during periods when the apartment was unoccupied. We've followed every step the office and Conservice asked for, provided documentation, and even received confirmation from Conservice that a credit was submitted to the property. Despite that, the issue still hasn't been resolved, and communication has been slow. I'm hoping management takes this seriously because I know other MSU students have experienced similar problems. I'm not trying to be negative, but transparency and timely follow‑through would go a long way.

I work with Katy Wedge, who has always provided spectacular service no matter what I need assistance with. The rates are competitive and everything you need is less than 5 minute drive away. They have two weight rooms, plus other amenities and community events at least once a week. The only reason why I rate it 4 stars is because upgrades should be made to some of the older units. However it's a nice place and I would definitely recommend it to future residents.

First off, the wifi has gone out twice in all the time I've lived here, and it's been for 30 minutes max. I've had friends in nearby buildings not have wifi for days and university edge has never had that issue for me personally. Also complaining about the parking is CRAZYYY. It's literally free, who complains about something free? As far as I know, no one parks for free at their apartment building in East Lansing. As long as you follow the rules of the red cedar districts parking and uedge you will have no issues. I manage to get a spot 15 feet from apartment building door daily and have never gotten a ticket or barnacle on my car in again, my two years of living there. The management is super friendly and always willing to help. They have answered my questions every time, and are always super sweet. I have never had a single issue with my unit which, as far as I'm concerned is pretty fortunate for a college apartment. They take decent care of the building compared to its competitors. And for that I am giving them 5 stars because I have no clue what these other reviewers are talking about. Proud to say I live at University Edge :)

Roughly $800 a month. Plus parking and utilities. The facilities had giant holes kicked into the stairwells that were not dealt with for 10 months or so. In addition there has been vomit, urine and food smeared all over them. The management decided to threaten to charge us residents instead of installing video cameras. In addition to this the day I moved into my apartment. There was a half eaten bagel on the counter dishes in the sink and giant scratches on the sofas. (I have attached an image) Next is the issues of falsely promised amenities. When I moved in here they promised me a gym. Which was shut down by the city due to improper zoning. The leasing office unexpectedly just closed down at the gates with no warning to tenants and when I called the manager she acted like I should have known. In addition to all of these consistent problems. There is no way to email or get in touch with the managers of the property besides a landline which is never answered. Overall, please DO NOT rent from this company. I will promise you it's not worth the headache of switching management companies 4 times in 2 years and it's not worth the money.

incredibly overpriced (part of this is the location) but i like the space i live in enough and i've…read morehad nothing but pleasant interactions with the staff. the first meal i made after moving in ended up in the trash after i realized pieces of plastic from the microwave were raining down onto the stove and into my meal. we have had lots of maintenance issues since we moved in last fall, (broken ice maker, the aforementioned broken microwave, broken door x2, broken sink x2, broken toilet) but they have fixed everything as needed. everywhere i've been inside the building consistently smells pretty bad due to poor ventilation throughout the complex. this is an issue in our apt as well and it's almost a guarantee that our smoke alarms will go off if we are cooking with too much grease or for too long. I watched an egg cook as it rotted in the stairwell for 3 months like a fun, disgusting science project. i understand they couldn't control a resident breaking an egg but it seems like they could have paid staff to take care of the cleaning in the common areas considering my roommate and I collectively pay almost $2,000 a month to live in a average size 2 bedroom apt. parking is expensive too and the shitty design of the lot is frustrating. definitely don't park an expensive car here, it will get scratched up or hit. no easy to access guest parking provided either. in terms of good things: the location is nice, mail is easy to get to, apartments are usually quiet, the kitchen and bathrooms are fairly big, and the elevator is usually working.

There were multiple incidents involving my roommate repeatedly breaking community rules, including having an unauthorized guest continue to come onto the property after being told they were not allowed. Even after I reported the situation several times and management acknowledged it, nothing was truly done to stop it. I was even told in writing that the person would be considered trespassing if they returned -- yet they continued coming back without any real consequences or enforcement from the office. This created an uncomfortable and stressful living environment, and I felt completely unsupported as a tenant trying to follow the lease. It's frustrating to pay to live somewhere that doesn't take violations seriously or protect residents when issues are clearly documented.

They "upgraded" the gym to have less equipment and clean it maybe once every 2 months. Expect monthly inspections for random things announced days before. Free bus pass but there are 20 apartments before us so they often drive right past as they are full. Good luck getting roommates who clean/smell good and expect to move into an unclean apartment.

Moved my son into his apartment called Block 36. My son and his two other roommates were moving into a unit with another person they did not know. He had reached out several times this summer to get to know the fourth person. No luck. Soooo today when we arrived and I walked in, it was unbelievable. There was a woman on there who didn't live there, apparently was just there doing her laundry bc she was a "friend"Apparently this other person had been living there for 3 years. There was another random person sitting on the couch eating a bowl of cereals. There were dishes in the sink dirty. There was stuff and trash everywhere. The unit was so dirty. We moved my son's stuff into his room and locked the door. As the day unfolded, and his other two roommates came to move in, we discovered that this 4th roomate had subletted his unit (illegally) over the summer to 2 other people. They had taken over the other rooms. Literally trashed the place. Nonsmoking unit. Found remnants of weed and cigarettes inside. Found a pet snake on the balcony. Made numerous phone calls to management who never once came and looked at the room. Collectively me and the other 3 parents kept calling the manager and the complex to get cleaners there, trash removed, a fridge and freezer that needed defrosting, so much other stuff. Finally to the conclusion that the fourth person who had been there 3 years would be evicted by Wednesday. Well my flight left tonight at 6 so I couldn't stay. Had to have the locks changed and none of the 3 boys stayed tonight feeling bc of feeling unsafe. Had to put our foot down and say when the evicted person comes he must be escorted bc all of our children have their stuff in their own rooms. A nightmare for moms and dads of first time apartment dwellers. I'm so sad that I didn't get it help my child navigate this more and move in not his room. all the other rooms we looked at on the floor that I peeked into by the nice tenants there let me look at their rooms and none of them were in the condition of our room. So disappointed at the management of Block 36. I am only writing this post to let other parents know of issues that may arise during move on. Here are the pics of how we found it. And I got two very sad pics of my son's stuff in his closet to keep it safe and him. I had to leave and catch a flight Leaving him and his roomates to deal with this. I am so so sad and ANGRY Raw chicken leaking in the fridge. A freezer that had to be defrosted. I cannot tell you how much of a nightmare this was. And I was on My BEST behavior when calling and trying to deal with management who never once came up to look at the apartment. (These pics are of the common areas and the rooms that our three boys were to move into) I did not get pictures of the fridge. Raw chicken defrosting into all the shelves of the fridge. That was completely nasty. The oven that was nasty and broken all the dirt and trash. I'm just beside myself.
