"not very welcoming" was the quote my best friend said this morning. They say "urgent care," but then act like they won't see you unless you have an appointment and that you should wait, no matter how long, or how much pain you are in to see your "assigned provider" who works in a different office many miles away. All my friend wanted was some sort of shot or something to take his pain away so he can feed his livestock. I heard both the receptionist and the nurse admonish a 77 year old former Reagan era AIDS nurse like a child for being in pain and simply going to a place that said "Urgent Care" on the sign to get Urgent care.

The wait time was short and the Nurse Practitioner - Marilou - was absolutely wonderful. She was both to-the-point and comforting, listened to ALL my questions and answered them thoughtfully. Thus my daughter went without her meds for a month. Finally I called and found out she needed a yealry appt. how hard is it to call your patient ? So when my daughter went, even though we have ins and most providers bill what ins does not pay, Bev would not see her without $60 upfront. I get it if she were not an established patient as well as our entire family with Deere insurance, But we have been with her since the beginning. After not calling her that she needed to be seen and turning her away over a copay that we have always been good for, Bev decided to place money over care. She has always gotten paid. I explained I had an HSA card coming to me and wanted to pay out of that, but would not treat my daughter without her co pay. Again. We were established patients. I am deeply disappointed. Don't go here. Find a physician that won't turn a kid away over a few bucks when the family has always paid the provider.

As a handicap individual, I am reliant on others for transportation and don't readily know hours ahead of time if one will cancel. I explained this to them when I first became their patient. She proceeded to only give me appointments months away for urgent problems and twice, when I actually showed up an hour early, she told me my appointment had been cancelled..not by ME! My last appointment she pulled the same garbage and said the doctor wasn't even there.......I say her, myself, in the back!. I then received a letter saying I was no longer allowed as a patient because I had cancelled these last two appointments ..the ones I WAS THERE FOR. It's a shame that excellent doctors are ruled by such an unprofessional discriminating desk aide!

Those are apparently two different things so they can schedule twice as often and bill you and your insurance twice as much. The first nurse was diligent and took all my information. The PA came in with none of my paperwork and assumed my issue but wouldn't listen when I tried to explain how it couldn't be what she was insisting it was. Never saw an actual doctor.
