I came into the store to purchase a floral arrangment to be delivered to my boss. I noticed her other arrangments in the store and they were gorgeous! Because of it, I felt confident that when I was ready to book my wedding flowers, this was where I was going... This place turned sour when I was delivered a birthday arrangement on Friday. I have purchased better arrangments at the local Von's! Granted, the three roses were very nice, but all the other fillers, including the lillies were depressing. It is so disappointing because immediately when I recieved it, I had to snip out a rotton bloom. SI just snapped some pictures of what they look like on day 3. Finally a flower shop you can trust. This is not your typical flower shop where the owners are absent or some big corporate partnership that works off volume. This is a Mom and Pop shop that really offers something we don't see anymore, customer service. On top of that the pricing was fair, the product was excellent and the lady working the shop was simply 'top shelf" I called up needed something simple but stunning at the same time. My wife has been out of town and I wanted something to make her homecoming warm and fulfilling. I pulled up and walked in. Right off the bat I was greeted with a smile, she asked if I was who called and then opened a small cooler door and handed me a absolutely gorgeous vase full of flowers. I called to around 10am to see if I could still get same day delivery to Newport Beach. The owner (assuming it was the owner) was very nice and helpful. She said deliveries went out from 1:00-3:00pm and that I still had time. I went on their website and picked a pretty birthday bouquet and it was delivered at 1:50pm. I received a confirmation email and an email stating they had been delivered. The flowers are high quality, fresh, and she did an amazing job putting them together. I ordered a "Premium" Serene Paradise arrangement for my wife's birthday and while the arrangement was nice, it was not as pictured or described on their site. I ordered it specifically because it was supposed to be a more of a purple/lavender arrangement and the one that arrived did not have any purple/lavender at all. It looked more like your standard arrangement. Also, when I placed the order I specifically instructed to have the arrangement delivered to the Leasing Office as my wife works there. I detailed exactly where it could be found (not a big complex), but instead it was left outside our apartment door (we live where my wife works) for who knows how long before my wife was off work and went home. The combined pile quickly shrunk to half its size as the shopkeeper snipped away the obviously wilted blossoms. The resulting brown paper-bundled bouquet looked indistinguishable from shoddier flowers sold on side of freeways. The shop lady forgot to include a plastic cardholder stem and a tiny one-sided card as she praised her own handiwork. I wasn't planning on using a florist for my wedding on Sept. 23rd, 2017. My plan was to save money by purchasing flowers and assembling them myself. That was the plan until it was getting closer to my wedding. I got married aboard Hornblowers Cruises and events and Merci Bouquet, with 2 other florists, were on the recommended list for Hoenblowers. 10 days before my wedding I had a change of mind and did not want to deal with making my own flowers. I emailed Merci, without having high hopes since it was so close to my wedding. My email contained what I needed: 6 bridesmaid bouquets, 1 bride bouquet, centerpieces for 7 tables, cake flowers, and boutonnieres for my groomsmen. Surprise to me, I received a response the next day saying that they have a couple weddings that day but can squeeze me in. My maid of honor dropped off the centerpieces the week of the wedding. Merci Bouquet and Kathy completely saved me today! I had ordered flowers through FTD.com to have delivered to my girl's business for Valentine's Day which fell on a Monday in 2011. I found out Friday night that she wasn't going to be working on Monday anymore but would be working on Saturday. I placed a call into FTD.com to see if they could change the delivery date at the last minute AND get my flowers delivered by noon. Long story short, they said the change was made, but I didn't feel comfortable with the customer service given to me so I asked for the florist information where my order was sent so I can follow up myself and FTD wouldn't give me that information. Sooo, I hung up and decided to start calling around to all the florists in the area and asked if they fulfilled orders for FTD. I called a dozen places to no avail thus brings us to Kathy and Merci Bouquet. Kathy answered the phone and was EXTREMELY pleasant especially for the Saturday before Valentine's Day. I explained my situation and she looked up my info and she didn't have my order either. I asked if she carried the same stuff that was on FTD and she said yes and the price she was offering was actually better than what was on FTD. I asked her if she would be able to make a delivery by noon if I wasn't able to locate my order and she said YES without any hesitation. So I called a few other places, no one had my order. So I called FTD and canceled my order with them. I called Kathy back and I got everything placed. The driver called me to verify that the flowers were delivered and that happened at 11:30AM on Saturday...LAST MINUTE. I got a picture from the girl and the arrangement that Kathy had set up was actually NICER than what FTD had listed. My girl was being surprised and happy. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Kathy for all of your hard work. This is pure customer service at its best. I will, without question, return to buy flowers from Kathy whenever I need them. Wow. All I can say is the owner Kathy is amazing! I pretty much ran her down this morning while she was opening her doors, an she handled my tornado like presence with a smile. She said they had been closed for a few days for the holidays so the flowers in the cooler area were probably not looking so hot. When I inquired about possibly getting a discount on some of the older roses, she told me she had a dozen she was probably going to throw out...and I could have them for free!!!! She really understood the look we were going for, and went above and beyond to make sure everything looked beautiful. My bouquet was perfect. She was even able to incorporate dried edelweiss flowers that I had purchased online. I recently had a wedding at a private villa in Malibu. It was an all outdoor event and I wanted lots of color while still staying true to the outdoor natural look of the venue. Kathy from Merci Bouquet was the best find of my entire wedding!! Upon our meeting I gave her the idea I had in my head of what I wanted, and she gave me examples of flowers and made helpful suggestions. I had a large wedding and needed flowers for multiple other areas, as well as for my ceremony area. I also requested peonies for my bouquet, knowing November was not the season for them and they could not be guaranteed. However, she stayed on alert looking for them and as the day drew near...she found some!! I had so many people commenting on everything, from my bouquet to my beautiful ceremony willow arch to the amazing table flowers. I think I commented on how much I loved my bouquet at least every half hour. Everything to do with my flowers was amazing from top to bottom. She set up quickly and efficiently and on time. Price was super competitive, but quite frankly I would have paid top dollar for what I received now knowing how great she was. Brides need competent people. They have enough stress to deal with already. To trust someone to do your once-in-a-lifetime flowers and to have them turn out better than you could even imagine is priceless. Very disappointed in this florist. I had arranged for a bridal bouquet and a grooms corsage over the phone. I was clear on what I wanted and when I picked up the flowers the roses were wilted and the flowers with the color were purple - I had requested blue.
