The flower shop I used to go to for tropical arrangements closed during the pandemic. I couldn't find another floral business that did beautiful island style arrangements until now. This business specializes in Hawaiian floral arrangements. They have everything from bouquets, fresh leis, and fancy arrangements. The ordering process was fast and easy. They have several floral arrangement styles to choose from online. I chose the day and the time I needed them by, and they were ready on time. I ordered the Poipu arrangement because it had a little bit of everything I was looking for: red ginger, heliconias, protea, anthuriums, orchids, and monstera. They are priced anywhere from $35 for a floral bouquet to $200 for a fancy arrangement. The service here was top-notch. The person I spoke to was responsive and incredibly helpful. I wanted a head lei for my graduation so I called up island florals and they exceeded my expectations! First off, on the phone, they made a good impression and were really friendly. They were able to do it quickly (I called them a week before I needed it and they said they even could do it quicker. Other places needed at least 2 weeks notice). Next, it was easy to find their location and there was plenty of parking. Lastly, the finished product was beautiful!! I wore it all day long for a grad party and it stayed in tact the whole day. A couple days later, I wore it again for a grad photo shoot. I have even kept it in a ziploc bag in the fridge because I'm not ready to part with it and it has stayed fresh/still looks good 2 weeks later!! I'm definitely coming back for future floral needs! Called into this store on a Thursday very last minute in hopes of finding some sort of haku alternative (I know they may take a while to order/make). The hound lady on the phone was very sweet and helpful and offered to mark an orchid headpiece and have it ready within a couple hours. I have patronized this place back in 2017 for a beautiful double plumeria lei. I referred this place to my dear friend who ordered what we both thought was a similar lei. She picked it up the morning of the graduation and there were many noticeable blemishes and bruises . The graduate was gracious about wearing it still. The owner was apologetic about the oversight in quality control, but this was already after the fact and too late to make it right. We will give her another chance but will make sure we inspect the leis before leaving her store. However, one is usually on the way to the event by pick-up time and already pressed for time as it is. read more

Aloha! My niece was graduating from UC Irvine and was looking for orchid leis to honor her special day. I found Island Florals on Yelp (yay!) and they seriously didn't disappoint. There's a reason for the many 5 star reviews, and adding mine to that growing group. Their website was up to date and helpful. Even though they list their hours and suggest when to place orders, I still wanted to contact them to make sure. I emailed them and got a response within 24 hours. They could make the leis and just needed two weeks notice. They had a wide variety of leis and could even custom color them- well I asked if they could do a yellow and blue orchid lei as they are the UC Irvine school colors! Could do as a single or double. Awesome! I called and placed the order two weeks prior to pick up, and all was set! They have Saturday limited hours so I had to pick up on before 1pm. Their business is nestled in an industrial area with a mix of different business. Not to worry as there's signage so you won't get lost , and you'll know where to park and location of entrance. The orchid lei was ready to go and in perfect condition. I regret not taking any pics of it before giving it to my niece. She loved it (especially because of the color combo) and thought it was so beautiful. Her opinion is all that really mattered, right? I'm one proud auntie! Thankfully, her ceremony was indoors so the orchids held up nicely. Make sure to refrigerate them as long as you can to keep them as fresh prior to placing on the graduate!! Mahalo Island Florals. This flower shop is incredible! I only found them because of Yelp - as I live in LA. I called (during quarantine) to place an order for my sister who lives in OC. She had a major surgery and needed to be cheered up. The flowers at this shop are legit! My sister lived in Hawaii for 10 years so really knows her island flowers. She was soooo happy & blown away by the beauty, quality and authenticity of the flowers. The shop owner explained she has stuff flown in from Hawaii for her arrangements. That said, the prices that originally seemed a bit high are truly reasonable and in fact even a bargain! The owner of the shop personally delivered the flowers to my sister - contactless and used extra caution to disinfect the vase as my sister was coming home from a major surgery. I thought I was being early enough when I tried to order one single-strand, child-sized lei for a kid's graduation 2 weeks in advance, but the first florist I tried to order from informed me a week later that they were already booked up (in hindsight, not hearing from the business for 5 days should've been a red flag). Frantic to find a child-sized lei in time, I reached out to Island Florals and they were easily able to accommodate me for not only 1, but 2 single-strand leis in under a week's notice. I'll admit my order was standard and nothing custom or complex, but the leis were beautiful, ready on time, and the perfect size for a Kindergartener. While they don't have as many lei options as they used to they're still my go to local shop (I think it's just harder and costly to get the ginger, tuberose kind). The staff have always been pleasant and helpful when placing an advanced order for orchid, plumeria or carnation lei and their prices are similar to if you would order from Hawaii and have it over nighted. They make some beautiful bouquets as well or sell individual flowers so you can make your own arrangement.
