The hotel seems very nice from the outside but from the inside, the real inside, the staff are more…read morecondescending than their pillar-in-the-middle-of-the-room. But they do try to hide it, just not enough.
All their smiles bear a snarky I hate you snare. We stayed here for 3 nights and on the last day, asked if it was okay that to let us store our one luggage and they (very smugly) said no. Because it's only possible for guests and since we weren't going to be staying there after this last day, we're no longer welcome.
The service is very snobby, just like their rooms.
The room we got was supposed to be one with two twin beds but instead they gave us one with a king bed. But whatever, that shit happens. But the fact that there's a giant, unignorable, obstacle-pillar in the middle of the room, wedged between the bed and the wall... it's just extremely poor designing.
The AC was kinda weird too. Doesn't seem to work too well or kicks in too late.
The accommodations are limited in terms of bathroom needs and in room beverage.
They have all the basics, plus a couple bathrobes and slippers but no conditioner or lotion or toothbrush, like some of the other 4 star hotels in Spain.
They provided a small water kettle and only two tea bags with no instant coffee available. It's only available for purchase in the lobby. (I mean, come on, how much can it be to put a packet of instant coffee with your tea?)
The room cleaning service is also semi-half-assed. The second day, after the maid's been here, she left a lot of stuff uncleared, unstocked and also left a bottle of their cleaning solution in the bathroom. I know it must have been an accident but considering everything and the quality they're supposed to provide, I can't not mention it.
The maid also soaked my Q-tips (that I kept in a glass of their) with water. Like filled up to the brim water. I just hope she didn't fill it with toilet water.
I also used their coffee cup to make some tea while I stayed and the cleaning lady barely cleaned any of the cups, I wash them all myself after I use it but I could still see stains on the bottom of the cup, ones that are easily rinsed if they just rubbed it for a second. It's these little details that give them the two stars they so deserve.
As for the rest of the room.. not much problem with most of it but the bathroom needs major improvement. The shower (standing only, no tub) door is terribly designed. It looks cool but when you actually turn on the water it not only gets randomly hot and cold but it also leaks everywhere outside of the door. There's not good seal at the door. Guys, it's simple. Test that out before you let people pay you for it.
Overall, good looking hotel but shit service and ehh..room. For the price, you'd think they'd be much nicer.
