This was my wife's dally driver. Now I'm trying to replace the rear brakes and go to retrieve a special tool that removes the caps that cover the lug nuts on the rims and there is no jack and lug wrench and no special tool. My husband and I went to Bob & Chuck Eddy with a price range and deposit amount in mind to purchase…read morea truck. Salesman Jason gave us only one option. That one option was the most expensive truck on the lot. When asking to look at less expensive trucks Jason kept insisting there was no other truck and he wanted to put us in this truck. We went back and forth with negotiations. With one of our offers Jason asked to show our credit card to his boss to prove that we were serious. My husband handed over his credit card. Little did we know he took our credit card and charged it for $600. It wasn't until hours after the fact that we found out that he charged our card. Finally we agreed at $409 a month with $600 down. Even though this was over the price we wanted to pay. We waited for what felt like a century for the financing department due to fraud protection and other things. Jason came back and told us they literally had to beg the bank that I had been a loyal customer to for the last year and a half to accept our loan. I have a car loan through ally bank and have consistently paid 2 weeks early every month. He also explained how the bank had these three tiers and placed us on a C tier. Again mentioning how they had to beg the bank. At this point he told us the bank raised the price by an additional $120 making our loan payment $529 a month. He said this was the only way Ally would approve us. We had been there 4 1/2 hours at this point and it's closing time. We were to come back in the morning and finish where we left off. No papers were signed at this time. On our way out Jason stopped us and asked my husband to sign a receipt for the $600 he had charged earlier. My husband had to question why he already charged his card. Jason didn't have a real answer. We slept on it and at this point I wasn't buying their story. I called ally financial and told them word for word what was told to me. I explained how the dealership claimed they had to beg them and explained the tier theory.The lady I spoke to recognized my great payment history and was appalled by what the dealership told us. She said the bank would never raise the price like that and has never heard of this tier theory. She suggested we find another dealership. I did call Bob & Chuck Eddy and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to Mike. I told him everything. He looked into the situation and claimed ally was doing them a favor by approving us an we will never get financed anywhere else. I asked him if there was any other truck cheaper and he claimed there wasn't. He did come up with another offer which was still way too high with a $2000 down payment. I did tell him I wanted the $600 back which he agreed to return. We took the lady from ally financials advice and went elsewhere. We went to greenwood where they were exceptionally nice and couldn't believe how we were treated at Bob & Chuck Eddy dealership. Within one hour we left greenwood with our fully loaded 2015 Chevy truck with $300 payments a month. Ally financial mentioned that they did appreciate our business and was happy to see us sign another loan! Thank goodness we didn't fall for this scam!

After searching for a couple of months, I found a Raptor exactly the way I wanted at Fairway Ford. I was skeptical on contacting them since it was on the opposite side of the country. I looked them up on dealer rater and they seemed to have a solid reputation so I reached out to Jaison. He immediately responded to my email and I informed him I wanted to have the truck inspected, Jaison welcomed me to have it inspected. After the inspection was completed it got a good bill of health but I was informed there were some small scratches (normal wear and tear for the age of the truck) I brought the findings of the inspection to Jaison's attention and made him an offer. I expected them to tell me to go pound sand with my ridiculous offer considering the truck was actually really clean, but on the contrary Jaison respectfully declined and made a counter offer that was actually pretty sweet! I couldn't believe it! I gave them my credit card and put a deposit on the truck and we had a deal. The week leading up to my flight out to Ohio, I was kinda stressed because who knows what kinda bait and switch or games could be played once I was in Ohio and at their mercy. Nope! Not here! I flew in and met Jaison early Saturday morning and he had the truck freshly washed and gleaming right in front with a full tank of gas. He let me take a look at it and put our luggage in the bed. After I had picked my jaw up off the ground, he led me into their newly remodeled store with Chris who got my paperwork done in less than 10 min! Signed a couple papers, got my deposit back, and next thing you know I was shaking they're hand and had a pair of keys to my new to me Raptor! Fast forward to a week later and the truck didn't skip a beat and ran flawlessly across the country. After getting home, I was going through the truck and couldn't find the door code or the fuel filler funnel from the tool kit and another small issue. I reached out to Jaison thinking I was going to get ignored since the deal was over and I was already on the other side of the country. Wrong again! These guys are so stand up and honest, they told me to go to the closest local dealer and get the things I needed taken care of, and send them the bill. I went to the local dealer and sent them a copy of the bill. Sure thing in a few days I got a check in the mail!!! Honestly can't recommend these guys enough! From start to finish these guys are straightforward, honest, and fair! If I ever want to get a new Ford truck, these guys are getting my business for sure! I honestly don't mind going across the country to do business with them, because I know I'll get exactly what I want and for the best price with impeccable service!

I had to drive out of my way (20 minutes) when there are other places that are way closer. I trust Ron so I went back to him. I was able to drop my car off at night and he showed up to make sure everything was fine (although there are cameras). I told him that I needed to work and he was able to get my brakes and rotors done by the time I had to go back to work. There are drinks and snacks and a nice waiting room. Being a female, I was completely comfortable being alone. He takes your car for a test drive to make sure everything sounds and works good after he completes his service. He didn't like how mine sounded so he took it in and fixed the noise. He takes a lot of pictures and he texts also! I would recommend him to anyone in Mahoning County!

Best Auto Shop Experience I've Ever Had - Truly Like Family…read more I don't usually write long reviews, but this experience absolutely deserves it. I started calling around because my brakes were squeaking, just doing price checks like anyone would. RT Barrett Auto Sales was only the second place I called but something about his spirit over the phone made me stop right there. I didn't even feel the need to keep calling other places. That alone says a lot. When I arrived, I was greeted by Ron and his wife, and from that moment on, the energy was nothing but warm, welcoming, and genuine. They were both incredibly kind, and you can just tell they truly love what they do. The shop itself? CLEAN, organized, and comfortable. Not your typical auto shop at all. They had a TV set up, asked what me and my son wanted to watch (my son is autistic, so that meant a lot), and we ended up enjoying SpongeBob and Madagascar together. They also had a fridge stocked with drinks, name-brand snacks like Lays chips, pretzels, and even a big jar of candy. It honestly felt more like a welcoming space than a waiting room. Now let's talk about the service... Ron and the other mechanic (I wish I remembered his name!) were AMAZING. What stood out to me the most is that they didn't just fix my car. They educated me. Ron took his time explaining everything about my brakes, fluids, and how my car operates in a way I've never experienced before. It was so detailed and clear, almost like a class. If he ever offered one, I would sign up immediately! I also really appreciated his honesty. He was straightforward in the best way respectful, but real. I'm someone who values constructive feedback, and he delivered it in a way that made me feel informed, not judged. What's crazy is just days before this, I was telling a friend how badly I wished I could find a mechanic I could trust. I've had a couple of cars since I was 21 and have been to plenty of shops but THIS place? This is the first time I truly felt comfortable. It honestly felt like home. My reason for 1 star.. The check engine light came on shortly after we left the lot. There was also…read morean issue with the tire pressure system and the windshield wiper. They took the vehicle back in to fix it, which I was grateful for. I picked it up and halfway home, the engine light came back on and the tire pressure system warning light was back! I I am also not sure about the warranty as I haven't received paperwork yet and there is a rattle that I would love to have fixed considering it's going to take a tear down on the engine because a mechanic suggested it may be a timing issue...Ugh! Happy push your purchase home day. This time, they didn't fix the tire pressure system even though I was told they ordered the part and.were going to fix it. After they fixed the wiper, I drove home and it went out in the rain!!! I called again about the engine light being on again due to a cam sensor that they said was replaced. Then, I was told they didn't offer to fix the tire pressure system and now I should use the warranty that I have no information on to fix what they SAID they fixed. But wait!!! I was then told that they didn't have a regular mechanic and they just had someone who could put parts on. I kid you not!!!! How safe does that sound? Who knows what you're going to be driving (or pushing or towing) home?!!! Buying a used car can be one of two experiences. Unfortunately, mine is the horror story and not the cool " lets take a road trip" story. Dang guys, live and learn and be careful who you do business with!! Make sure somebody puts you in a safe vehicle. Ohio has great vehicle fraud laws, thank goodness!!!
