No worries, I was able to fight against their attempted graft and got my restocking fee returned because they never posted it in the listing or anywhere related to the part I ordered. Now you have not only lost me as a customer, but I will never refer you for anything. GM, you had best get your Parts people inline, they just cost your reputation. If I could give their service dept 0 stars, I would. Joe, the service advisor, is terrible and does not stick to his word. I took my 2019 escape in last Thursday for "the works" and an electrical inspection because 3 times now the car has went completely black. It won't start or even turn on. about 15 mins later it'll just come on. They told me last Thursday everything was fine with the car. On the paper they give you it says everything was good, including battery. It happened again Tuesday so we called to schedule service again. They called today after we took the car in and said it was the battery and it would be 275 dollars. okay? y'all said the battery was good a week ago? couldn't give me an answer. My husband went to get the car. He picked me up from work and I asked him how much it ended up being. I checked the receipt and they charged my card 295 dollars but when I spoke to Joe I asked if he could put my reward points towards the balance. He said sure no problem. I checked my points balance, guess what, all my points were redeemed "today" but I still got charged full price on my card. I call his cell number that was on the business card on my receipt and I got an attitude bc I interrupted his kids band concert. Don't put your cell number on a business card then and don't say you're going to do something and it wasn't done. You stole my rewards points and money from my pocket by charging my card the full price. I called to speak to a manager and they were already gone. Needless to say Fairway ford lost a customer. Claim to be the best truck dealers in Ohio , but are the most unprofessional sales team we have ever dealt with. Jimmy, a sales rep, was very unprofessional and seemed to take the customer coming to purchase a vehicle for granted. Simply throwing a paper across the desk and saying, well I assume you don't have any questions. Heed this advice, the way they market their cars is they add 2k on to the MSRP on the sticker to make it seem like they are giving you more off. They are not! Would give them a -5 if possible. I have purchased 3 vehicles from Fairway.Lets start with the 2017 escape that i recently traded in they gave me 6000 for which i got them to come up from 5000 they are asking 16000 for seems fair right?so this escape had the engine fail at 80000 miles they gave me a loaner had my car for a month had to pay 100 dollar deductible. Then less then a year and 10000 miles later the transmission failed once again got a loaner 100 dollar deductible had my car around 3 to 4 weeks.Then the torque converter failed less than a year later maybe around 90000 miles.Having had no luck with it i traded it in around 106000 miles hoping for better luck with a Ranger.I have had it around two weeks i love the truck and had an overall good experience buying it.However the ford pass and keypad were not working.I made an appointment to have it updated was told around 2.5 hours to preform this no loaner offered once again.After being there for over 4 hours was treated very poorly when i complained about how long it was taking.So here i am again wondering why am i having such a bad experience.My 2019 ford Ranger already has problems off the lot the ford pass still does not work.They did offer me a free oil change im just not sure if its worth the hassle.Also the 3rd vehicle a 2016 escape fortunately has been relatively trouble free.Is this the Fairway? read more

I contacted Fairway Ford in regards to a used ford truck on their lot. Full disclosure- it was a 2004 Ford F-150 4x4 Crewcab with 147k in miles on it, so understandably it was not a brand new truck. So to make sure it was worth the drive. I contacted a salesman, I requested a general overview of the vehicle. I told him it was an over an hour drive from my house to see the truck, so I wanted to make sure it was what we were looking for. I asked general questions: How does it run ? Any body damage ? Heavy rust ? This salesman told me that he would make sure they still had the truck and he would personally call me back and go over the truck with me on the phone. When I received a call back he stated he was walking around the truck as we spoke and he saw no heavy rust or damage of concern. He stated all he observed was some minor surface rust on the bottom half of the bed. He stated it was a really nice truck and ran good. Needless to say when we arrived at Fairway Ford we found a TOTAL PIECE OF JUNK... The truck was wrecked it had clearly visible damage to the front bumper and grill. Tons of rust and it had a ABS light on, but because I drove over an hour to see it...I decided to drive it. Clearly on my part a terrible mistake. It ran like crap and handled like crap, TOTAL PIECE OF JUNK and after I pointed out all the problems, he still had the nerve to ask if we were interested ! The truck is listed at over $9,700.00. I would be very cautious when dealing with Fairway Ford. The salesman never even cared that we drove over an hour and that he gave bad information, in an attempt to lure us in !!!! All I asked for was an honest assessment of the truck, so I did not drive over two hours round trip to see a piece of junk....We possibly may have looked at their newer higher priced trucks if the salesman would not have deceived us in to believing it was a "good" truck !!! Typical male chauvinistic cliche salesmen. Do not go here if you are a woman. They will mansplain to you while they are selling at several thousand over msrp, they will then treat you like you are stupid, telling you they can't give you more on your trade in because your tires are "bald". My tires are 3 months old with about 1500 miles on them. When we asked them to show us where the brand new tires were bald, they didn't have a measuring tool and Josh stuck his finger deep in to the tread and said "the buyers are going to want new tires". It was actually comical. We then measured ourselves at home and measured 7/32. 3/32 is when you start shopping for new tires. When speaking to Evan, he explained they can charge for several thousand over msrp because people are willing to pay it. So people, stop paying over msrp! He talked over me and then told me to stop talking over him. Something he would have never said to a man...in fact, when I put my angry husband on the phone, he didn't speak to my husband remotely in the insulting, disrespectful way he spoke to me. "Don't talk over Me!" When he said this to me, I actually said have a nice day and hung up. But he called me back and pursued me and had his unhappy buddy josh Handle the deal with us the next day. I'm actually from California but I was searching for a Gen1 Ford Raptor in a specific color with specific options and configuration. After searching for a couple of months, I found a Raptor exactly the way I wanted at Fairway Ford. I was skeptical on contacting them since it was on the opposite side of the country. I looked them up on dealer rater and they seemed to have a solid reputation so I reached out to Jaison. He immediately responded to my email and I informed him I wanted to have the truck inspected, Jaison welcomed me to have it inspected. After the inspection was completed it got a good bill of health but I was informed there were some small scratches (normal wear and tear for the age of the truck) I brought the findings of the inspection to Jaison's attention and made him an offer. I expected them to tell me to go pound sand with my ridiculous offer considering the truck was actually really clean, but on the contrary Jaison respectfully declined and made a counter offer that was actually pretty sweet! I couldn't believe it! I gave them my credit card and put a deposit on the truck and we had a deal. The week leading up to my flight out to Ohio, I was kinda stressed because who knows what kinda bait and switch or games could be played once I was in Ohio and at their mercy. Nope! Not here! I flew in and met Jaison early Saturday morning and he had the truck freshly washed and gleaming right in front with a full tank of gas. He let me take a look at it and put our luggage in the bed. After I had picked my jaw up off the ground, he led me into their newly remodeled store with Chris who got my paperwork done in less than 10 min! Signed a couple papers, got my deposit back, and next thing you know I was shaking they're hand and had a pair of keys to my new to me Raptor! Fast forward to a week later and the truck didn't skip a beat and ran flawlessly across the country. After getting home, I was going through the truck and couldn't find the door code or the fuel filler funnel from the tool kit and another small issue. I reached out to Jaison thinking I was going to get ignored since the deal was over and I was already on the other side of the country. Wrong again! These guys are so stand up and honest, they told me to go to the closest local dealer and get the things I needed taken care of, and send them the bill. I went to the local dealer and sent them a copy of the bill. Sure thing in a few days I got a check in the mail!!! Honestly can't recommend these guys enough! From start to finish these guys are straightforward, honest, and fair! If I ever want to get a new Ford truck, these guys are getting my business for sure! Aside from listening to an employees political opinions and points of view last year, I had another less than thrilling experience this past Monday. A couple of weeks ago I took my 2004 Mercedes-Benz SL500 (45,000 miles) to see what I could get for it on a buyout, not trade-in. To be fair, I had a warning light on that was possibly safety related, radio didn't work, and the AC had a mind of it's own, but worked. I was told that if I got those items taken care of they would give me 15k-16k. I got the safety issue resolved but figured I'd cut my losses with the radio and AC. I went back this past Monday (June 20th, 2022) to see what they could do, figuring 2k-3k less than original offer. The same gentleman from a few weeks back helped me, he went to "Talk to his Manager", came back and told me $9,500.00. When I mentioned the 15k he asked who told me that number, I explained "You did, a couple of weeks ago", he completely dismissed it and sat there with a blank look on his face. I couldn't help but think that this was a reversed "Bate and Switch" style of unethical and dishonest sales tactic. I regret to this day that I purchased a vehicle from them last year, and that was only because we had to turn in a Leased Lincoln and moving to a Ford. Go figure, he could take the time to talk crap but still refused to take responsibility for his staffs behavior or correct the problem in a professional manner. He complained that I swore at his manager...the owner of all people should have said " I'm sorry for any confusion or inconvenience we may have caused you. Perhaps we have another vehicle that would be of interest since you drove over an hour...can I get you anything"? Had he or another staff member responded with that, I would never have had the outburst I did. A simple "I'm sorry" goes a very long way with me. I have purchased 3 vehicles from Fairway Ford but there will no be a fourth for myself, friends, or companies. I had an F150 with extended warranty. Sold the truck and called the dealership to cancel the warranty and was sent to the business manager's voicemail with every call. Each time I asked for a return call and to date have never received one. I made 5 calls and left a message each time and my wife left one message. Apparently this dealership has no concern for their customers or repeat business. Never have I experienced such disregard for the customer. I ultimately contacted Ford directly, lodged a complaint, and had the warranty issue resolved. No help from the dealer. Stay clear! read more

I bought a used vehicle from them. The car was never serviced. I had tried to make a deal with them since I was paying cash and the salesman said they wouldn't make any deals or lower the price any. It had 4 bald tires on it, the head liner was coming off and the air conditioner only worked on the #4 setting. The bald tires were not on there when I looked at the vehicle. I think they were switched! I had to make an appointment to get the air conditioner fixed. When I went to the appointment a week later ( after my brother called and raised a stink about them treating me the way they did) I was told that they would service it. I said what about the tires? They would take care of it. Fixing the air conditioner did not take them very long. When the salesman came out to tell me that the air conditioner was fixed and that they would put only two new tires on the front for me.He said the back two met their safety requirements. My mom who happened to be with me said" what about her safety?" He had no answer. I ended up buying two new tires for the back so that all four would be the same. The price he quoted me was what I would have paid elsewhere so I put them on. We sat in the lounge area for over 3 hours for them to do this! Never should have taken that long. People who came in after me were leaving way before me! I feel that the dealership took advantage of me. I won't go back there again and I would not send anyone to them. read more

My husband has always done all the work on our vehicles. Always sacrificing to keep me and then his kids in cars better than his own. In the cold or rain all his life even looking after others cars at church when they could not afford a mechanic. For his forced retirement, because of an injury We searched for a vehicle he would not hv to work on or keep fixing. It was to be his retirement gift..we searched and searched and even went out of State to buy what we thought was a great truck, from Faiway Ford! A 2013 Ranger 4x4 We just hit our one year mark with our used Truck we bought from Them with a so called "certified used multi point inspection". We purchased an extended warranty from our bank and financed just a small portion. Let's see, all the things that went wrong that no warranty would have covered.  3rd month we had to change all 4 Brakes and roters, ca-ching $$$$ at 6th month the 4 wheel drive went out. Big ca-ching $$$$$$ At 11th month we got it inspected and the bed is rusted out under the bed cover, much much more than what would happen under a year. (the salesman made a huge deal about how "Fortunate" we were to have a bed cover because it saved the bed!! What a pitch) So now we are looking at another huge bill to fix it. ca-ching $$$$$$$$$$$$ Thanks Fairway Ford. For giving us a big Fat problem after Problem. And my Husbands hard earned retirement savings went to nothing as we continue to have to put money into it. And we can't just resell it knowing the problems it has. We have had nothing but problems with Fairway Ford since we had to have repair work done on an SUV we purchased there in Feb of 2017. They tried to put parts on and charge us for them and the parts were never part of the estimate. My husband told them to take them off since the bill was doubled from $300 to $600. They decided they would "eat" the cost themselves instead of taking the parts off. You think they would be good but we just had to have the transmission fixed, they had to pull it & work on it, & thank goodness we had auto insurance which added almost $3,000 to our loan, we didn't have to pay anything. Ok THAT's good, HOWEVER, my husband asked the service desk to change the name on the car from my name to his since he was the one that always went out there & now they're saying we owe them $150 for the service contract change. He NEVER asked to have the policy changed, he asked to have his name changed at the service desk ONLY. Now we are being held hostage because if we don't pay the fee, they will charge us $2,600 for the transmission work. The Service Manager said we are getting a "break" in the fee for the policy change but that's a load of crap too. IF he had asked to have the name changed on the policy, which he DID NOT, it says right in the policy the fee is only $75. I think they are trying to recoup some of the money from the first mistake they made on the extra parts on the first service we had. The man was ignorant on the phone to my husband. We have to go there to straighten out a copay we screwed up but after that, we're done! We'll go to another Ford Dealership before we ever go back there. So just beware. I purchased my new Ford Explorer here several months ago and have had nothing but a positive experience. My lease was up on my previous car and had intentions of purchasing that SUV. After hours wasted with the original dealer, I changed my mind and went to Fairway after lunchtime. I needed a new car by the end of the day and they made all arrangements to have the entire process completed in a matter of a couple of hours. They even bought my lease out so I wouldn't have to deal with the other car dealership, not a Ford, again. Never again will I deal with Fairway Ford, worst experience I have ever had buying a vehicle. First I was supposed to be waiting for a truck that wasn't delivered yet, I waited more than a week longer than I was supposed to and it never showed up. Then I look on their website and they had two of the exact same Trucks on the lot, when I called the sales rep Jared he said I could just switch everything over to one of the other trucks so I did. I was told I could add a leather interior and a spray in bed liner on the loan but after buying the truck it would take a few weeks for them to get the money from the bank for the leather and the bed liner, and then we could get everything scheduled. After not hearing anything for well over a month I called Multiple times and the sales Rep Jared would never call me back. Finally after over THREE MONTHS when I called and talked to a manager Jared returned my call the following day to inform me they screwed up on the loan and failed to add the leather interior as well as the spray in bed liner. Then he tries to cover his backside by saying he's called me multiple times, its 2017..... we all have a caller Id and cell phones have a call log.... He never called me. I would not give them any stars at all if it was an option. I found an escape deal online and went back and forth with a salesman named Justin, to have him say yes to a deal then decided to back track and start throwing these higher payments at me and adding money back onto the price of the SUV. I then talked to his manager Ed and was basically told that whatever is on their website is not true and they can change it whenever they want and don't have to follow through with the internet specials. I had everything in e-mail form, what was agreed upon and the internet special but in the end they would not honor what their salesman said yes to, sounds like a stand up company to me. I purchased a new 2012 Ford F150 FX4 SuperCrew and the price was good, but I discovered issues with the paint the first time I washed it. They told me that after they sell the vehicle to me that there is nothing they can do. The entire truck is covered in orange peel that couldn't be seen in the bright sun due to the color of it, it has chunks of dirt in the paint, bubbles in the paint, a big chunk of sealant on the back of the cab that was painted over, and paint chipping off around both taillights. I've been dealing with Ford customer service now for 2 months and they've been no help at all. I met with a service zone manager from Ford who told me it never should have left the factory the way it looks and that they'd fix it. I've dealt with 4 dealerships now and they've all told me that the entire truck needs to be repainted and that they aren't willing to do it because it's too big of a job, its not going to look like a factory paint job should, and Ford won't repay them for all of the work they have into it. The zone manager and the customer service managers I've dealt with have all told me that Fairway Ford can replace the truck if they wanted to, but the dealership says that Ford is crazy and that they can't do anything for me. The managing partner of the dealership also told me that Ford issued him an authorization number to repaint my truck at their nonexistent body shop, but that was a lie. I called the customer service manager who supposedly issued the number and she told me that she's never issued a number to repair anything on my truck. I'm stuck with a truck that has a terrible paint job, a dealership that isn't willing to help me in any way, and dealing with Ford's horrible customer service. The paint job is so bad that while I was at a gas station filling it up a man across the parking lot asked me who repainted my truck. I told him that it was a factory paint job and he was amazed that Ford let it go on this long. Stay away from Fairway Ford. Their website states that their name is the way they deal. We decided after a long while of not buying our vehicles there anymore because of lies, we thought well lets try again. Well our normal sales guy wasn't there anymore so we asked for a new one. Well we decided we wanted the car. We told them we possibly had a trade. I told them to put it under myself and to do it through capital one. Well they ran it through all these other places and I asked them not to because I don't want my score to go down, well they did it anyways, and guess who financed us? Capital One who I told them to call in the first place. we were approved, duh I just paid a car off with them a year prior, that we only paid for a year on. so all these papers are flying around and a lot of sign here and sign there that my head was spinning. So we give them keys to old car and drive away with new car. Later that Saturday evening when everything calms down I go through our papers and instantly get sick to my stomach! the car we traded was a 2005 black mustang. We bought this mustang off of them back in Jan 2015 for $9759.00 with 99010 miles on it. Well like I said I had it paid off in 1 yr. (feb. 2016) well here it is.... see our normal sales people we have dealt with in the past ALWAYS!!!! told us up front what they would give us for a trade so we can decide if we still want to trade it. Well are you ready for the robbery.... after looking our papers over they only gave us $2500.00 SERIOUSLY!!! So I told my husband to call them Monday and tell them we will just finance the car with NO trade..... well they tell us they can't do that papers are already done ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! But we can sell it back to you for a small profit (SAT-MON under 48 hrs. later) for $2800.00 plus tax, title and all that BS for a grand total of $3289.00 ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!! So not have that money just laying around I couldn't buy my car back and they wouldn't rewrite the loan. I would have gave that to my daughter who was going to turn 16 in June. Well I can't do that now, so now she will not have a car to even drive or practice on. Now are you ready for this..... They put it on their website for $8500.00 WOW!!!! highway robbery! wonder how many other people they are doing this too... taking advantage of hard working people. My husband has to work long hrs. to make a pay and these people just steal it out from under you... well let me say anyone that goes and buys a 2005 blk mustang that has 100,385 miles on it well guess what they made probably 5 times more on that 1 car then it is worth. The first profit when we bought it for over $9000.00 2yrs later they buy it back with less than 1000 miles on it for $2500.00. robbery!!! so now that everyone knows that they paid $2500 and is trying to sell again now for $8500.
