Back in 2016, when our son Dylan was six years old, I brought both of my children to their home for music lessons. Dylan studied violin with David, while my daughter, Audrey, studied piano with Audinga. Audinga is an excellent violinist and pianist who teaches both instruments, and she also taught Dylan violin. Together, David and Audinga have been the best music teachers we could have hoped for for our children. David was a wonderful violin teacher who helped Dylan develop his technique, musical expression, and appreciation for music over the years. We will always treasure the memories and everything he taught Dylan. Audinga is equally exceptional. She has been an amazing piano teacher for Audrey, helping her build strong technique and develop a beautiful tone. Even now, Dylan attends boarding school in Andover, Massachusetts, but he continues to take violin lessons with Audinga over Zoom. My daughter is now in college in New York City and no longer practices advanced classical piano pieces as she once did. However, whenever she comes home, she still enjoys playing pop songs and classical pieces on the piano. To me, that is one of the most beautiful gifts a music teacher can give a child: a lifelong connection with music. I truly feel incredibly fortunate to have found David and Audinga, two professional and exceptional music teachers for my children. They not only helped my children build a solid foundation in instrumental technique, but also greatly improved their intonation, tone quality, musical expression, and appreciation for music. He asked the type of work I do and I felt weird why it was necessary as it has nothing to do with learning violin. He then shared how much it would cost for the lessons and I told him I'll think about it and reach out if I decide to move forward (which he agreed on and offered 10-20 mins trial lesson). After few days I emailed him and expressed my interest, but I did not get a response. And then from that moment I tried phone call he gave me, the institute phone number and still got no response. I do not mind if he responds and not taking me as student, but just leaving someone hanging there for weeks is definitely not professional as a business.

We both take lessons with Jeremy. Jeremy teaches fully remotely now and does so extremely effectively - he is highly observant and picks up on the most subtle signs of tension or technique issues that are blockers to progress. He has the rare ability to teach the right technique in the most effective way for the individual student for the music they are playing. He carefully breaks down the intermediary steps towards achieving a difficult end result (e.g. we have recently worked on fast arpeggiated passages in pianissimo, rapid octaves with my very small handspan, independent articulation and phrasing for each voice in complex fugues) and teaches different practice techniques to get there in steps. My son has high functioning ASD and is not an easy student to teach. Jeremy has done a terrific job with him and has helped him improve tremendously since starting out. For us the remote teaching has not at all impacted teaching quality and has been a huge time saver advantage.
