Up until April of this year I probably spent another $2K/year on gifts for my mother and mother-in-law. Isabel, the manager at that store is great and always ensures great customer service. Today, Sunday, September 20th, I was in the store from about 1:30-2:30 PM and the only other customer I saw was a lovely senior citizen and her daughter trying on clothes. Point being, it was pretty empty in the store with lots of salespeople onsite. No one acknowledged me when I walked in the store, no one offered to help me at all, and they watched me walk back and forth to the fitting room 4 times with different sizes, and never once did anyone ask if I needed help with a size or anything else for that matter. They literally ignored me like I was invisible. When I was checking out, the person on the register asked me if I found everything alright and I asked her if Isabel is still the manager. She told me she is and immediately asked if there was a problem, or if I was going to report negative feedback, etc. I told her I'd contact the manager directly as practically, if she actually cared about customer service, she would've offered support while I was shopping, not only when she thought she might be the recipient of a complaint. My husband shopped for me and his mother at Talbots last December (or tried to) but was utterly ignored, so much so he felt uncomfortable and left. I thought he was over-reacting, but after getting a taste of being ignored entirely, I understand the sentiment. I love Talbots and am happy the Chester store still exists, so I'm hopeful this feedback reaches Isabel and she addresses it as it's very out of character for the store to offer such a bad shopping experience.

We found everything we were looking for! Upon checking out, the staff member informed us that she could blow up balloons and the letters for us, make a balloon arrangement, and name arch! We were shocked, since we did not know they offered these services! We told them that we were planning to host a high school graduation party, and they gave us recommendations based on the planned rainy and thunderstormed day of the party. I set a pickup day for the balloon name arch two days after purchasing all the decor. I was informed to bring a "big car" in order to have space for everything. I was happy they warned me to bring a big car because a sedan was not going to work at all. The day of the grad party, I picked up my order and was informed to park curbside after walking in initially. The name arch and balloons came out so beautifully; I was stunned! They decided to do last-minute finishing touches to the balloon arrangements. The only difficult thing was hanging the name arch indoors; I didn't expect it to be so difficult. Potentially Party Fair could have helped me, I think they offer that service. I appreciated the concerted effort Chris and the staff members made to ensure that they could give us the best decor and shopping experience possible! Their patience with us as new customers was profound, and their customer service was great! I was also glad to find out that they have balloons for all the high schools in the area and asked if we wanted any college-specific balloons. This is also the only place where we could find Sternos in the area. Costco Wharton no longer sells them. So come here!

From the phone call placing the order to the convenience of pick up, they were so nice, professional and organized. I'm so grateful for such a great store so close to home.
