Then the same guy was called to find the item but some one else from the store came and went to fetch! I thought why is this guy did not just help me at the first place? They have some kind of Command in line? The place had few workers but no one really care to assist me! I am trying to purchase an over $100 stuff and came few miles away to get it but they don't seem to care! Then the guy came back and told me they don't have what I want ! The online is wrong! Hate to say it because I love Ace in general but I won't be back to this store. The last three…read moretimes I have been since the remodel, the items I wanted were significantly more expensive then elsewhere and or they just did not have them at all. For example a 6 pack of Terry Cloth towels at $9.99 vs a Pack of 48 of the same towels at home depot for $7 more. The same fixture at Orchard at 30% less. Then I went to get a basic dolly - nothing. But what is far more frustrating is using them as a job stop when they don't even supply the tools to install the products they sell. For example, today I wanted to replace my faucet, they have several models but they don't sell the faucet installation tool that only cost $20 and takes up almost no space. On what planet does that makes sense? They got 15 kinds of pipe wrenchs and even specialized tools for installing garbage disposals but they don't carry a basic EZ change faucet wrench? Why would I buy something that cost $100 just to have to drive to a whole different store ten miles away to get the tool I need to install it. When I go to a hardware store I expect them to have the hardware for the items they sell, vs wasting my time. I am just done assuming this store has what I need to get jobs done. My local ACE store does, so that one is still my go to place.

I may have discovered the most dangerous pairing in Redwood City: Costco and Outdoor Supply…read moreHardware right next to each other. One supposedly practical errand can turn into a full Costco run followed by an accidental garden expansion. This was my second trip to OSH. On the first, I came home with four pepper plants and soil. On the second, I somehow acquired a humongous three-cubic-foot bag of soil at 50% off, lavender, thyme, basil, and one slightly unloved Trovita orange tree that was also 50% off. Charles was wonderful. He was friendly, helpful, and the two of us wrestled that gorilla-sized bag of soil into my car together, which probably qualifies as both excellent customer service and a surprise strength-training session. The Redwood City store has a great selection, plenty of tempting plants, and apparently no safeguards for new gardeners with weak boundaries. I went in for soil and left with herbs, citrus, and responsibilities.

This is just limited to the plant section and I was ok with that.

I came here a month ago to pick up chicken feed with my toddler. I sat her down and turned aside for 20 seconds to lift the feed bag, and then noticed she was standing next to an open bag surrounded by loose pellets. I looked closer and realized this was open, loose rat poison. Yikes! The bags say to handle with heavy gloves and to keep from pets and children. At least one is an anti-coagulant rodenticide - very bad for a child to get into. I would never had expected to come across loose poison littering the floor while shopping, and I might have easily assumed it was just loose feed if I hadn't noticed the packaging. I told the person at the register but they did not seem concerned. I probably should have impressed upon him further the danger of keeping these open bags with spilled contents on the floor of the customer area, but I was also worried that my daughter may have handled/eaten some in the moment I was turned away, and I wanted to leave quickly to tend to that possibility. A month has passed and I stopped by for more feed. The same open bags with same spilled poison are still littering the floor. This seems dangerously negligent on Robert's part. There are many things to like about this store, and I'd much rather be writing about those. Please clean up this dangerous and irresponsible mess before someone's service dog or child is harmed.

A huge thank you to Georgette and Sophie for taking such amazing care of us during our meal, and to Patrick for being so friendly and helping us take some great pictures! The entire staff was incredibly attentive, polite, and welcoming. Before you even reach the restaurant on the third floor, you walk through their interior design space, which is absolutely gorgeous. Once you get upstairs, the indoor dining area is highly aesthetic, and the outdoor seating is beautiful, too. The only minor downside is that the indoor dining area was a bit loud--not quite what you'd expect for a fancy restaurant, but it wasn't a dealbreaker since we could still easily hold a conversation at our table. As for the food, it is definitely on the pricier side, but absolutely delicious! I think their wine is too expensive for a glass but the food kind of makes sense. * Starters: We had the Haas avocado caviar and the Buretta. Definitely make sure to order some starters because they set the bar high! I am still dreaming about that caviar--it was easily my favorite. * Entrees: We ordered the Salmon, roasted chicken, and steak frites. Everything was cooked beautifully. We will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu. Big shoutout again to Georgette and Sophie--we'll be back for them! Also shoutout to the Chef for picking out great tomato and avocado, it was fresh and very delicious.

I was a little limited by my need for 8 smaller and 6 larger handles but I was drawn to one handle almost immediately and they had just enough small handles and more than enough large handles. So happy! I made my purchase within 15 minutes! With multiple employees saying, "Have a nice day!" Unfortunately these were unlike most ithwr handles as they only came with 1 inch screws instead of those AND 1.5 inch - so I ran back to them and they quickly found me 30 breakaway screws that go up to 2.5inches - no hassle, no problems, just found me screws, bagged them, and apologized - not their fault! Not a fault! All good! My vanity looks great with the handles, now just waiting for the countertop! If you have time and remember to order, their selection is much larger than what you can get on the spot, some of it quite fun, and the easiest way to change out a look in your bathroom! LOVE!
