Firstly, I want to thank the kind folks at Langley's Tree Service who came out to check our spruces…read moreand maple trees. The team at Langley were transparent and clear about how to best take care of our trees and revive them. It turns out we were overwatering the maples and it overwhelmed the tree systems. They were clear and transparent and didn't try to sell us anything for the sake of selling anything. I really appreciate them using their knowledge and transparency. Although they didn't have any services to provide us after the tree diagnosis, I know that we will be contacting them the next growing season for other tree questions we may have. Thanks Langley's!

He…read moregave me the most affordable estimate (out of 5 local estimates) to trim dead branches off of a huge cottonwood tree in our yard. He and his office manager/wife were meticulous in scheduling a date for the work (8-1-16) and called several days in advance to confirm. On the day of the trim Kevin arrived exactly when promised: 7:15am! He worked tirelessly and methodically on our gigantic cottonwood, cutting, and then chipping logs until 2:30pm. When he was finished, he even showed me the chipped wood and asked if I wanted any of it to use as mulch around our yard. My husband and I said we did want the mulched cottonwood as our yard has several spots where it will be useful. Kevin was so friendly and professional. Our tree (which we know we will loose in about 2 more years) is no longer an eye-sore and will continue to shade our home for another 2 years. Our neighbor even came over during our trim and hired Kevin on the spot to do a small trim job in his yard across the street. I am a huge fan of this company and I highly recommend them!!

Report of Backyard Project…read more Overall Performance 00 STARS If you hire this person it will be the biggest mistake of your life. Extremely poor workmanship performance. Extremely poor attendance performance. Extremely poor Customer Service performance. Extremely poor taking feedback from Customer concerns. Always insisting they are right and customer is wrong. Extremely argumentative. Extremely explosive temper, I always felt like he was going to hit me. Extremely poor performance when trying to do jobs correctly for the third time of rework, still could not do job correctly after 3 tries. Extremely poor performance following customer instructions. He just didn't get it. If I was to do personal attacks as to his personality it would not be able to be said without me seeming like an unintelligent human being, so I will hold my tongue. On our final encounter in which he was ripping up things he had tried to do so he could take them home, he came and put his face a few inches from mine and held up his fist like he was going to punch me. I told him go ahead, hit me. By the way I am a 71 year old man. May 30th, 2025 I registered on Angie's List. He was at my house within one half hour. Talking a big talk that he would pour a cement sidewalk so that all water on the cement would drain away from house. The cement all drained towards the house. He said he would make it so the cement would drain all the water towards the street. It did not. He dug up the cement and tried again with same results and then tried to convince me that it was OK. He said I needed a new fence. I said OK. I told him to build an 18' by 2' garden from 4x4's I had. He said OK. Then I asked for sod to be put down on a 15' by 20' area in back yard. He said OK. He said he could do the project for $6,000.00 and would need half down for material and the rest when the work was done. Then he said that I needed new fence posts, which I thought would be part of putting in a new fence. The fence was installed with varying spaces between the slats of 1/8" to 1/2". Looks horrible. They tried 3 times to get it right and could not. He then said that would raise the price of the job to $14,400.00. He asked for the 2nd half of the price of $6,000.00 because he had to pay for labor. He had 2 to 3 children doing most of the heavy work. He then begged me for $4,000.00 more. I refused and stupidly gave him $1,800.00. After a few days he sent his father to ask me for more money and I refused. This made them mad. He still had never installed the gate for the fence. So from May 30th to July 22nd, he had been here maybe a total of 15 hours. When and if anyone showed up, it was always in the heat of the day and after a couple of hours of lazy work they would say "We don't feel good, and we need to go home." We will come tomorrow early they said. That never did happen. On the last day he came, he brought his whole crew, and some muscle man I had never seen before and threatened to put a lien on my house. I told them to get off my property and never come back. I called the police and they said they would make sure he never comes back unless he wants to face charges. I now have to install cameras that cover my whole yard 24/7 the police said. I am waiting to see what develops.
