Having spent a few alarming and sweaty hours observing humanity at Ibiza Rocks last night, I was despairing of finding any vaguely healthy late night snack food just as Menjabe hove in to sight. I ducked in to grab some falafel with the last of my spending money for the night and was very pleased I had.
The food was good, though nothing special, but the place was really cool: compact but with room for hanging out in, manned by friendly staff and serving a good selection of snacks. Alongside falafel there were burekas (filled pastries), shaksuka (eggs in tomato sauce served with bread) and tortillas - all vegetarian and all seemingly freshly prepared.
My 4.50 Euros got me a moderately sized pita packed with falafel, hummus, tahini and vegetables and I was very happy walking to the next club munching on fresh, tasty food. read more
