Me and my family (party of 3) decided to come here because our hotel's receptionist recommended it as the closest place. When we arrived, they told us it would be a 10-15 minute wait max. There were several 2 person tables empty and lots of extra seats, but they did not seat us at any of them or put two together.
They sat us in the bar area for a drink while we waited and our drink order was never taken in what became 35 minutes of waiting for a table.
Every few minutes during the wait they brought out a hookah from downstairs and placed it at a table next to us. They never offered a hookah to us nor asked if any in our party had allergies (which several did).
When we finally did get seated, the experience became much better. In the dining area people were only smoking cigarettes, which wasn't awful because we were outdoors. The lighting was very poor at most tables and the font on the menus was not easy to read. Our server didn't understand the difference between a "wine list" and a "cocktail list." We were served two lovely aperitifs and some decent, but cold bread.
When the main courses arrived they were of decent size and were quite good. Some dishes, such as the angler fish were remarkably unique. The meal overall was fine, even with the poor service, however, even the starters were priced upwards of 20 euros, and the drinks were almost as expensive.
As a side-note, throughout the whole meal, fireworks went off throughout the city in multiple places at various times (for the "Noche de San Juan") but on only once could we see them, so perhaps not an ideal location for such things. read more
