The staff was relaxed and laid back which was nice to see as I was a bit hesitant to visit after reading a few of the other reviews; but I think a big factor was that all the parents were keeping an eye on their kids and not very busy as it was 11am. The prices seem reasonable, we got the 30 minutes for $15 and it worked for us as our little ones get a burst of energy and tire out pretty quickly.

The environment is clean, organized, and designed so kids can play, explore, and have fun while still being safely supervised. We attended a private party, and everything felt well-managed and welcoming. The staff was friendly, attentive, and clearly focused on creating a positive experience for both kids and parents. I really appreciated the balance of fun and structure. I can't wait to bring my 10-year-old next time -- this is such a great addition to the Willits community. One of my good friend Yelp friends is famous for reviewing parks. My 2011 New Years Resolution is…read moreto match her park for park. And I will begin my quest with the world's champion of parks. Growing up, this place was known simply as the Ukiah Municipal Park. I'm not sure when the whole Todd Grove thing happened, but it's the in thing to name parks after people. I'm all good with that. Some of the park kid toys are gone, but the giant tractor tires remain. What is it about a giant rubber tire that would get me to spend countless hours entertaining me? The parks iconic symbol to me was always the rocket. Now that was the single biggest childhood attraction for me growing up in the entire town. I still remember the day I felt like one of the big kids when I finally stopped my crying and summited the very top. I swear you could see the Golden Gate Bridge from there. Sir Edmund Hillary has nothing on me. . This park includes two swimming pools, plenty of picnics and countless trees that provide protection and shade from the hot summer sun. I took swimming lessons here as a kid and is where I conquered my fear of the water. I cannot even begin to count the fond memories of this place. From the family summer outings, to the yearly school picnics this place will always hold a special place in my heart.

We went on a Saturday morning in February, so the experience was peaceful, quiet, and calm. While not a whole lot of animals were out during our slot (just doing their animal thing!), we were still able to see a nice variety of species. The absolute highlight was getting to feed the giraffes at the end of the tour! They are such majestic creatures, and it was a fun, interactive activity. We finished the tour fairly quickly since many animals weren't right up against the fence that day, but it's a fantastic activity to add to your itinerary if you're spending a full day exploring the coast. You can truly tell that the caretakers value and care deeply for these animals. It's a great experience that supports an excellent cause!

You get close up views and get to feed the giraffes at the end. If possible, stay in one of their cottages - It is so quiet and relaxing AND you help to support the preserve in doing so! A win-win. Pros: - love what they are doing by taking in animals when their owners need help with caring for them - fairly affordable, group tour was $100 - they provided lots of carrots and lettuce for the animals! Cons: - I would have loved learning more about the animals, we were only provided information when we asked questions 1:1 with tour guide.
