When we walked in there was no staff at the register, but we were immediately greeted from someone who came out from the back. There was no rush in deciding what we wanted to get and no line. There was a sticky syrupy spill on the floor we unfortunately didn't notice until we stepped in it. Another employee came out when we were ready to check out and it was a quick process. Friendly staff! We got chocolate and birthday cake, both of which were yummy!

I was very disappointed to see a Menchie's employee working without her mask. I know it's been tough coping with the pandemic but one place we cannot compromise is the safety of the other employees and the customers. I felt very uncomfortable seeing how crowded the store was and as a long time menchies customer I have never seen this much disrespect from an employee. Every time I've gone in the other employees have been very consistent with wearing their masks and gloves and ensuring customers wear gloves as well. This is the first time I have felt unsafe at Menchies and I hope this issue gets resolved.

The customer service is always a hit here. It does stay a bit messy though and could improve.

They share the space with another business as well. The drink was good but the mango wasn't ripe so it wasn't as good as it could have been. Mango is out of season so I get it. The elote could have been bomb if they wouldnt have used canned corn. Even frozen corn would've been a better option. The flavors were there it just let you wanting more because the corn was too soft. I will go back again if I want a quick snack to take with me. I'm interested in trying more things on the menu.

They offer many sweet treats like milkshakes, chocolate covered bananas, icecream, paletas, and many other items. I tried the mangonada which was very good except they had them sitting in the freezer instead of making them fresh which made it hard to drink because the drink was initially pretty frozen. Other than that I was good. I also had the elote which had a really nice balanced flavor, but they used canned corn instead of fresh which definitely drew away from the flavor experience. Overall everything tasted good. I will definitely bring my kids back for some ice cream and shakes. I want to try some Paletas next!

My husband and I pass the signs at least once a week heading north to Macon and finally decided it was time to see what they had to offer. After turning off the highway, drive slow because this quaint little country store is tucked away just a block down the road on a corner lot. We parked in the grass beside the store and immediately noticed the rocking chairs out front filled with customers happily enjoying ice cream and cobbler. Honestly, that alone felt like a good sign. Inside, the store is small but packed with goodies. They had a produce section with fresh cucumbers, onions, sweet potatoes, and the first peaches of the season. Of course, I grabbed a little bit of everything. They also sell salsas, pecans, candies, homemade cobblers, ice cream, and plenty of other tempting Southern treats. The gentleman working there, who I assume was one of the owners, was incredibly friendly and proudly told us the peaches were the first of the season, juicy now but even better as the season goes on. Naturally, we bought some, and wow... they were some of the sweetest, juiciest peaches I've ever had. Grocery store peaches could never. I also picked up a jar of tequila salsa because I had never seen that before, and it ended up being fantastic, spicy with a really balanced flavor. Definitely something I'd buy again. Before leaving, we had to try the peach cobbler. Now, cobbler is usually my husband's thing, not mine, but this may have converted me. It tasted homemade, loaded with fresh peaches, and wasn't overwhelmingly sweet like many cobblers tend to be. They also offer blackberry cobbler or a half and half mix if you can't decide. Overall, we were really impressed with this little country store and will absolutely be back. If you're passing through Byron on I-75, I definitely recommend pulling over and giving Barbour Farms a try. Just don't blink or you'll miss it!

We've been going there for Traditional Banana Splits since the place opened, maybe once every two or three months. Occasionally we'd get an extra surprise when an employee would give us really huge scoops of ice cream. It would be over-flowing! In the last year or so we've gotten to where we have to call ahead to make sure they have all the ingredients... bananas and vanilla, strawberry, chocolate ice cream! What ice cream place runs out of those three flavors??? Today they surprised us again... they had all the ingredients... but didn't have the banana split tray and had to serve it in a three scoop bowl. When we had gotten through the whipped cream we found the ice cream ended up being about the size of a tablespoon scoop. We've also noticed there seems to be a constant turn-over in employees. We never see the same people. Today there was an employee sweeping and mopping the floor and asking customers to raise their feet so he could sweep and mop under the table....??? Think we've just about decided it's not worth it. We'll just have to get use to the three scoops of vanilla ice cream in our banana split at Dairy Queen.

The stock of the store is a joke, there are ice cream tubs in the outer cooler and the 16 flavors displayed in the cooler half are mostly empty. There is trash on the floor in the staff area and stuff piled on the counters, I am from out of town and the ballin robins and dunken I'm used to seeing this was not it. Ultimately this place staff and store needs to be looked at by corporate!
