Great store and always greeted every-time we walk in the store. I wish the garden center doors where open more frequently like the other big box stores. When we recently went for outdoor metal paint the guy at the paint desk was very informative and got us exactly what we were looking for. The guy working in the mowers definitely did great he talked me out of buying a basic push mower into the space saver, self propelled push mower and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I have always enjoyed Menards over the other stores here but at times prices are cheaper else where. However push mowers much cheaper here a basic push mower at the others where going for what I paid for the one I purchased! read more

The quality the the products carries and customer service provided has consistently declined in the 15 years we've been adults shopping there. Tonight I've HAD IT!!! If you seek knowledgeable and helpful staff, keep going. I've had employees who are labels as asst department leads repeatedly be the worst!! Why support a company who promotes the poor examples of customer service. We now call them walmart of the home Improvment world and I will drive further and pay a little more to avoid the aggravation this shopping experience has continually brought me. read more

Big store. Took me a bit to find the pet section. I was approached a few times in the garden section to ask if I needed help. One man helped me out and chatted with me for a bit. The girl at cash was also so friendly. I quite enjoy that this place is very close to where I live. I feel that the selection and kindness of the people makes me want to go back. read more

A bad experience at the local menards. Last week we bought a side by side stainless steel refrigerator at menards. When they sold it to us everything seemed like a good buy. And I have always had good luck shopping there.I like their tool selection etc.we'll all has changed. We had our refrigerator delivered the people that delivered it was to say the least very inexperienced.they brought it in made deep scratches on our lament flooring ,set it in opening it was very unlevel the hooked up water line and while pushing it back a wheel fell off. One guy tried for 15 min to get it back on. The other guy then tried and said he had it on.they pushed it in to space very unlevel they then left. We went to talk to menards appliance manager. She said all they have to do is deliver and hook up waterline. They did not remove shrink wrap. And cross threaded the screws that hold the door handles on we had to find screws to get doors back on.we then had enough excuses. And hired a appliance repair man.checkmark from cedar falls. He tried putting wheel back on and found wheel was missing parts he is now ordering parts. Enough of menards they have lost a customer. read more

Even though I usually go to the Cedarfalls store because it's much closer to my home they were out of what I needed so I went here today. This store is much busier and my major complaint is the parking lot because it seems like nobody knows what in the heck they're doing when they're trying to park. I had to make an exchange for something that I had received that was broken and the Cedarfalls store didn't have it but this one did. They had it saved for me at the customer service counter which was a big help. I had to wait a little bit to get help at customer service. But they called for another employee and one came right away. It was really no hassle and I was in and out and loading up my car with what I needed in no time. I needed something else so I came back into shop. I needed a reciprocating saw and the one that I wanted that was on display in on sale was out on the shelf. I looked above in there overstock on the very top of their bays and they had exactly what I wanted up there. I was able to go over to the hardware desk and ask a nice gentleman if he would get it for me. He went and got a ladder and retrieved it for me immediately. He even told me to have a wonderful weekend. I had to get some landscaping fabric pens from out in their garden center. It's really late in the year for the garden center. So they didn't have the doors accessible from the parking lot to it nor did they have it staffed. They are pretty much sold out of most of their flowers except for some moms and some discounted bushes. But I was able to find what I needed and go back into check out. The store seem nice and tidy even though I was really busy. They had several registers open and I was able to check out right away. The nice lady at the register offered me the protection plan on my reciprocating saw. For less than five dollars I got a one-year warranty. What that means if anything goes wrong with it in 12 months anything I can bring it back to the store and they will give me a brand-new one. I had purchased this on a cordless drill once and it was well worth it. Years ago but I would've told you that menards has terrible customer service. When you walked by people that used to not greet you or even make eye contact with you. In the last couple of years I found it to be an opposite. Either it is a fluke. Or they have really stepped up their game on service in their stores. I prefer to shop at Minard's over Lowes or Home Depot any day. Their customer service selection and prices cannot be beat. read more

My wife needed to purchase some river rock. She's in her later 50s and hard a hard time lifting the rock. She said several employees saw her struggling and did not offer to help. You save big money at Menards because it is hard to get anything in that store. read more

Love the selection, most prices, the shopping atmosphere! Bright and clean...I always like the start of my shopping at Menards. The helpfulness of the employees has been a constant or even improved significantly---except in the checkout lanes. Why are the checkers so robotic? And the way they have the checkout lanes set up with the checkers' back to the customer is ANNOYING!! Plus you have to bag your own small items...why can't they do this? hey touch it to scan it, so why not bag it?? I hate check-out time at Menards! Sidenote: Does anyone else think the name of a product they prominantly feature near the checkouts and in their sale flyers, Jig-a-Loo, is too similar to a racial-slur...and should NOT be carried? Maybe it is just me....:-( read more
