I was in need of supplies to fuel my addiction of being manly and using my hands to create stuff out of WOOD. But, mernards did not satisfy my needs they said I would save big money but I didn't. I crave to save money and buy wood at the same time but I couldn't at mernards. I bought paint at Lowe's and I painted my house in entirety with no problems. When I bought mernards paint. ROCK SOLID paint it was paint but ice and solid. Never eating here again. read more

Don't waste your time shopping here. Spent 25 minutes pulling lumber from their lumber barn while three employees sat on their forklifts and watched me. Even after I asked for help they ignored me. Complained to the store manager got a lukewarm response. Go next door to Lowes for much better customer service. Guess my $25k construction project will be going to Lowes. read more

Poor customer service. I ordered 2 kayaks on line. I arrived to pick up the department manager came out and threw the kayaks on the back of the truck. This was a very windy day and I struggled for 20 minutes to strap it down. It would have taken a couple of minutes for him to help me strap it down. As I was looking at the kayaks I noticed they were not the right ones. I went back inside and they said yep they are wrong and we don't have yours. They offered a refund which I felt was unacceptable. I had driven 30 minutes to pick them up and wrestle with tying them down for 20 minutes. I located the correct kayaks at 2 other store and asked them to ship them to me. They said they couldn't do that. The manager did say if I paid for the shipping ($400) he would give me a $400 in store credit. I declined, I felt they should pay for the shipping, it wasn't my fault they pulled the wrong item. I also have no desire to spend another dime in their store after the way I was treated. Do yourself a favor and go next door to Lowe's! I was greeted with a friendly hello and helpful people in each department I visited. read more

This is a decent Menard's; well organized with lots of helpful employees inside and out. Menard's will be opening in Tipp City this spring, which is exciting news for us as it will cut the drive from 38 miles to Sidney down to 10...yahoo for saving gas! read more

Like the Tipp City Menard's its huge, wonderful staff, and excellent pricing. The nice thing (and funny) is that it is right next to Lowes - so you can walk to either and compare prices before you buy.... I go to Tipp since it is now open and closer to me. read more

Worst managers ever things will be fine unless there's a problem with the product or service. The staff seemed ok but when the manager came over he was pompous and rude. I do not recommend this store use lowes next door to it they are nicer and will price match almost anything menards has. read more

My experience at the Sidney Menards was one that students will learn about in a business ethics course! I was completely lost in the huge store, just looking for a simple screw so that I can hang a picture on my wall. A strapping young fellow by the name of Dean addressed my situation from afar with an ocular pat down. He assessed that I was lost and then asked me, "you looking for a screw?" Completely impressed by his assessment of the situation, I replied with, "yes, can you please show me where they are?" Dean then went on to explain to me how he can do a backflip on flat ground. I believed him of course, but this didn't stop him from performing a triple backflip gainer right in front of me. I asked him if this had anything to do with the screw, and of course he replied with, "what doesn't this have to do with the screw?" I felt stupid for asking. Dean then led me to the screw aisle, executing a flawless moonwalk the entirety of the way. After finding my $0.36 screw Dean asked me, "do you have a drill for that screw?" I did not have a drill, so Dean upsold me with a $499 hammer drill! I was so pleased with my experience that I recommended Dean for a promotion, but it turns out that he is a sergeant colonel 5, which is the highest rank that a Menards employee can get. When I got home, the ferocity of the hammer drill put a giant hole right in my wall. I went back to Menards and lucky Dean was there and was thinking on his feet. He told me that I could just put a picture over the hole in the wall so that it stays hidden. I bought a command hook and hung my picture right in front of the hole in the wall. I have never seen better results than the one that Dean has provided me with! I absolutely love the Menards in Sidney and will be shopping there for future projects around my home! read more
