I can't say enough amazing things about Charlie's Repair! From the moment we walked in, the…read morekindness, patience, and genuine care we received were beyond anything we expected. They went above and beyond to help my wife and me with her ring, and you could immediately tell this wasn't just about making a sale or completing a repair. They truly cared about us, understood how meaningful the ring was to our family, and treated it like it was their own. The level of service, attention to detail, and genuine kindness they showed us is something you just don't find very often anymore. My wife walked away incredibly happy, and that alone means the world to me. If you're looking for someone you can trust with something precious and sentimental, I wholeheartedly recommend Charlie's Watch Repair. We are incredibly grateful for everything you did for us. 10/10 -- absolutely amazing people and an amazing experience!

I went into Charlies and was a little skeptical. It had cases of jewelry and watches, but I didn't see a work area. A young lady came out and met me, I showed her the watch told her the problem she said, "it needs a new capacitor". I knew I was in the right place. They even got it fixed faster than they said, I recommend them if you need to have a watch or clock repaired. In fact I will be bringing some old clocks in need of repair! Chris W.

Stoll & Co - This is how the box looked when sold and they damaged it when they shipped it to the buyer.

Update: After…read moreposting my original negative review on July 5th, Stoll & Co. reached out to me directly within a day, to discuss my concerns. They acknowledged that my initial authentication report did not meet my expectations and offered to have the watch returned to them at their expense for a more comprehensive evaluation. The second experience was completely different. They covered all shipping costs, took the time to perform a much more thorough inspection, and provided the detailed breakdown I had originally requested. The follow-up report addressed the authenticity of the individual components in far greater detail and gave me significantly more confidence in their findings. While I still believe the initial service fell short and required me to follow up for updates, I also believe it's important to recognize when a company stands behind its work and makes a genuine effort to correct a mistake. Stoll & Co. did exactly that. No company gets everything right the first time, but how they respond when something goes wrong says a lot about their integrity. In my case, they listened to my concerns, took responsibility, and ultimately delivered the level of service I had expected from the beginning. For that reason, I've updated my review to reflect both my initial experience and the way they resolved it.

The things they sell are helpful to more than professional jewelers. My father, for example, is a botanist who studies mosses. He buys all of his hand lenses here (and then proceeds to wear them around his neck and continually get asked why he's wearing a whistle.) I like them for their beading cord and tool quality. This is the kind of place that is trying to keep itself a secret. THERE IS NO SIGN. Let me repeat that. THIS STORE DOES NOT HAVE A SIGN. They also keep their door locked a lot of the time, so you knock and look somewhat respectable and they let you in. (The store is located right next to the plasma donation place, and they apparently get some interesting characters in.) If you're an artist or a beader or a botanist/entomologist/etc. I highly suggest dropping in sometime. It will be worth your while.

I called them because it said here in a previous review that they do watch repair. It turns out they don't actually do watch repair, they only sell the parts. When I asked if they could recommend a repair person she asked who I was. When I told her my name she told me to just go to my local jeweler...which I'm pretty sure I could have figured out on my own, except I didn't want to do that. Well she refused to tell me of any local shops that work on watches. This must be the only business in Columbus that has more business than they know what to do with--as they sure don't seem very welcoming to new potential business.
