If I ever decide to get a third, he'll be my first and only call. For my first, after taking FOREVER to decide and switching my design about 300 times, I ended up getting something completely different than what I gave Archie in my design consultation. Granted, I had a few months to think about it - it takes about 3 months to get into Archie's jam-packed schedule. Yes, he's that good! Archie was very patient and non-judging, emphasizing that tattoos are highly personal and my design should be exactly what I want. I ended up drawing my own and have never regretted it for a second. I wanted it on my foot, which Archie advised was the most painful place, but didn't try to talk me out of it. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I had no idea what colors I wanted when I came for my appointment. We had a great discussion about color theory and went with analogous colors. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! My second tattoo is especially meaningful. My mom, who is battling the most severe form of MS, wanted a tattoo for her 60th birthday to symbolize her fight. I decided to get one with her and designed the image. Of course, I would go to none other than Archie. He refined the design and supplemented it with beautiful script he created. Hers says, "Strength for today, hope for tomorrow" and mine says, "I'll stand by you". The image is a variation of an awareness ribbon, with the brightest bright orange to really pop - suggested by Archie. Both tattoos have held up incredibly well. I've heard foot tattoos need retouched often, but after 3 years it still looks crisp and beautiful. Aftercare instructions were very clear, and when I had a concern about how my second was healing Archie was happy to answer my questions. He's the only one I trust to stab me thousands of times with a needle!

Nate built my tattoo so it would age well and last for years to come. I had some ideas and he coached me in the right direction of what would work and what wouldn't, as well as what he thought would work well for balance and composition. 111 is a testament to nate's absolute LOVE and pride in tattooing. He has massive collections of antique tattoo memorabilia and plenty of hand painted flash for you to get ideas from -- which is what you SHOULD do rather than stealing others' ideas from Pinterest or Instagram. I had been in the market for finding a tattoo artist that would do my tattoo and found them. They are located in Piqua, Ohio and they are simply amazing. My tattoo artist is named Ashley. She did a side boob/rib piece for me and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. She works fast and is very key to details and pays special attention to them. Now I can guarantee that most of you are asking, well how much does she charge? and my answer to that is $100 an hour. Mind you some may thing that its expensive, but it's actually not since this is permanent. You also have to remember that you pay for quality. Ashley is a professional who works out of a very clean and sanitary shop and does great work. So I knew that my tattoo was going to be amazing. I paid $150 for my tattoo which I thought was great. It all depends on what you want and how detailed it is, and how well you can take pain, which puts price into variance.
