Purchased a string trimmer two days ago. Spoke with an associate and asked specifically what the return policy was. She said as long as I drained the gas out of it that I could return it within 90 days. After two hours it quit working. I've brought it back and tried to return it and the manager said that I have to pay for it to go to a return center and I have to go find a return center and deal with it all myself. Manager's name was Bryce other manager's name was Dale. They were absolutely rude no help whatsoever. read more

Super clean and organized store. Love that you can get anything here, from wood to paint to FOOD! And if you actually take a gander through the food section, you'll actually find some good quality stuff. Their nuts are cheaper than other places which is great for holiday baking time! If you ever need help, you don't have to look far for a blue shirt(unlike other stores where you have to walk multiple aisles to find someone). It's also pretty nice that the store manager is actually working along side his staff. That's what makes a good manager. He's not above minuscule tasks that most managers would reserve for the part-timers. read more

Militant about mask wearing. I was chased down by a manager. Kids in there without masks are ok, but perfectly healthy people without masks are refused service. Stop the virtue signaling. No thanks. I'll drive across town and go to Lowe's. read more

Our home furnace broke down (it ran for nearly 30 years). We have an ESP policy which affords us a reimbursement specifically towards the price of a new furnace, but critically not for installation. But first an expert technician has to find that the cost of repairing the old furnace is too high, that replacing it is advisable. We finally got to the point of shopping around for a furnace and installation. I called Menards and asked for an estimate on a furnace and installation. They sent me a terse response: "We don't do that." So, Menards is off my list. read more

I always enjoy going to Menards. They have good deals, the 11% off deals when they happen are great, and the employees always go out of their way to help. Plus, they're very good with all covid-19 precautions. read more

I purchased a ceiling fan online and it stated the one I was buying was a display item. I did not get an email confirmation that the order was ready for pickup so I called the next day to make sure I could pick it up. The phone for pickup department rang 20 times and it transferred to the front. The person who answered tried to get them on the radio and could not. She took my order number and said it was available for pickup. I drove 30 minutes to get it only to have to wait 30 more for them to tell me I could not buy it. The biggest issue was their lack of concern or ownership of the issue. Everyone kept saying that it was not their decision. I will never shop at another Menards. I have had nothing but bad experiences and they do not know what customer service is. read more

Plumbing department set aside tools and supplies for my husband and stayed to let him pick everything up 5 minutes AFTER they were supposed to be closed, because we had a pipe that had burst and no water at home. In case a manager reads this, this was on saturday february 13th. Those guys also helped us find the correct tools and fittings for a couple other burst pipes during regular hours over the weekend. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. We were already regular customers here, but they were so helpful this weekend that we had to leave a review. read more

Well stocked store. Don't expect to be waited on ! No customer service at all !

They Have a lot of items and stuff you need. But the customer service was so bad. They told us they would not help us without a mask so we asked if they had any. They were trying to make us buy a mask so we left and got a mask and came back. The guy who was "helping" us did a very poor job and vanished in the middle of helping. Then we didn't know where to check out so we asked one of the workers if we were allowed to check out up front. Then he blountly told us "No" and didn't even tell us where to go. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. This has been the worst experience at Menards I have EVER had. I have never been so frustrated with a corporation in my life. I made sure to have my carpet ordered and in hand before my installation date. I spoke with multiple people before making the hour drive to pick up my carpet and they told me that all of the pieces were there. When we arrived at the store, we waited over TWO hours for someone to load it into our trailer. FINALLY got the carpet in the trailer, and it was someone else's carpet. They indeed did not have all of the carpets I had ordered. I was told that they did not have my carpet in stock and I would have to drive to the Southport location to get my own carpet because of their screw-up. After waiting multiple hours at this store, I refused to drive 3 hours out of my way for something that their store should have taken care of. I also refused to pay a $279 delivery fee to have it delivered to my house by the installation date. They ended up having to have it delivered separately and ate the cost for that. Fast forward to the installation date (private installer)- we roll out a 12x18 piece of carpet that had apparently been hit with forklift tines. SEVERAL large rips (over 10 inches) throughout the carpet. I had another 12x14 section of carpet with the same issue and a whole chunk missing out of the side. Never once throughout this whole process did I EVER get to speak to a manager, I haven't received an apology, nor was I offered any type of refund. I have never had any issues like this with Menards. I have always stood behind their services and products, I had actually remodeled a whole kitchen, (cabinets and all) with their products. However, Menards has lost my business forever. I will never step foot into another Menards and give them a dime of my money. I am very displeased with the service and lack of interest to fix any of my problems. read more

Absolutely love this place. I live in the South where we don't have Menards, but I came across this Columbus Menards while traveling for work. They've got everything and prices are good. The staff was great here. I could spend hours just walking around browsing... and I do when I have the chance. I've bought a ton of stuff for my house here while traveling and hauled it back with me. Great selections. read more

I might be biased because I work here but I love this store!! Come see me if you want your kitchen designed.

Average Menards. They had the wooden biscuits that the Greenwood location did not (sold out).

We bought a grill for my father for Christmas and it was used and banged up and missing peices. We took it back and got another one, more missing peices. Never buy a grill at Menard's. read more

Every single time I order something from this store, it is wrong. The computer says it's in but they can't find it. They say we have it at another location you can get it there. Shouldn't they offer to get it from another location?! This store sucks and I will never be back. read more

If you don't need expertise from the employees and you don't mind that, with a few notable exceptions, customer service is "iffy" at times, then the prices can't be beat and the products are good to excellent. read more

I purchased sticky vinyl wood flooring planks from Menards.com. I had a local handyman lay this flooring. This flooring is coming up all over my kitchen. On the box it clearly states that there is a 10 year warranty. I have submitted a return form that I received from the Columbus, Indiana store. I had them submit the claim for me which they did. Menards sends me a letter and the supplier of the flooring telling them to get in touch with me for a resolution. Since when does the customer have to deal with the supplier? The supplier did contact me and wanted more pictures which I sent. I have tried emailing the supplier and calling them and Mendard's Corporate office and no one is emailing me or calling me back. It appears they hope I will go away. They are very wrong my next step will be small claims court for both Menards and the supplier. I will never buy another thing from any Menards stores anywhere! Terrible customer service! Be warned!! read more

very disappointed in the customer service I received today at Menards in Columbus, IN. I wanted to purchase a gas hot water heater. Found the one I wanted on the sale board, called for assistance, sales person who assisted was nice and courteous, but was unable to located the item even though it showed in stock. So we asked for the model that was a step down. Computer showed in stock, so they looked. They came back and was unable to locate it. At this point we had been in the store for 40 mins. We asked the sale associate what they had available and if they would sale it to us for the price of the other two that was advertised as in stock. He had to get the manager of the store. Store manager , Freddie, said there was nothing that he could do and told us to take our business elsewhere. Really is that how you treat your customers?? When I asked for the General managers name and number, he told me that he was the general manager. I asked for his bosses information and he said that he was the boss. So I asked who was above him and He said what part do you not understand! I am the boss! I said I highly doubt that and walked out of the store. I find it Unbelievable that Menards would employ someone who tells customer to take their Business elsewhere and a manager at that. No customer service. read more
