Very adventurous place for agile, athletic folks and those that are young at heart. There are so many exercise machines and equipment that excited me. There's a room for Yoga, meditation and much more. The staff was amazing with explaining everything about the facility. The vegan menu and foods were amazing and absolutely delicious.

Memphis Rox is a cool place in a hard community, visitors have the opportunity to experience numerous climb walls to test and strengthen their upper and lower body strength. There are walls for all fitness levels and ages. The staff was nice, very soft spoken but kind. I attended with a large group and they seemed to struggle to communicate with us so that everyone could hear and a part of our visit was to try their food and juice/smoothie bar. Again it appeared our group size was a challenge for the staff, we preordered food and they ran out of multiple items and others it appeared they advertised, but did not have. I have heard about this space a lot over the years, I do like that visitors can pay what they can, that's especially important in the 38126 neighborhood. There were many who appeared to not be from the 38126 community in the space.

Nothing but love for my first experience at Memphis Rox! I was recommended here by a friend and long time member to add some variation to my workout routine. I have to say, bouldering is much more challenging than I expected! Still, even though I stayed on the "easy" level climbs, I still felt challenged and had a lot of fun. The community seemed casual and social and I enjoyed seeing adults as well as children taking part in casual, active, and technique based climbs. Memphis Rox is a non profit so you can feel good about purchasing a membership, but they still help you out with inexpensive deals, free lockers, and cheap rentals. My only criticism is that not all the climbs were labeled, so it took some time to find all the ones at my skill level, but I was lucky to have a friend who could help me. I recommend trying this out! It is a great time and my arms were SO SORE the next day I felt confident I had gotten in a efficient workout too!

Memphis Rox is a great climbing gym. I am a novice climber and I dropped by with some time to kill on a work trip to Memphis. Everything about the bouldering was great! That one salty reviewer is totally wrong. The staff were super nice and helped me figure out the climbing shoe situation. The gym was well maintained. It was totally empty on Friday morning. There were great routes for beginners and experts. They also have a nice gym facility upstairs. My climbing gym in Houston charges twice this. AND Memphis Rox gives a student discount. It's a fantastic way to spend a few hours.

This is my 1st time here and I'm so HAPPY Memphis has such a great facility to offer. I've often gone to other cities and wondered why "Memphis" doesn't have something like "that." Needless to say they do. It's not "Overly Pricey" or pretentious. The staff is amazing a group of young African American men and one woman. They are well spoken, engaging and I'm so Happy to see them shown in a good light. This place is such a good atmosphere with people from all walks of life. It's a non-profit, "pay what you can" facility but because of what they are doing it makes you want to pay the rates that are not, again overly priced. Thanks Memphis Rox for a great experience and facility. Even with a new Shelby Farms location coming...I pray Memphis will continue to keep Blessing this place. Definitely worth the visit. I'd like to add on my 1st visit I climbed a 5.6 wall...hey might not mean anything to others but the world to me when I heard that 4 year old cheering me on!!!!

Dope!!!! Great community spot to come out and support. Pay what you can. No one is turned away. Absolutely in love with it! Both harnessed and harness free climbing from trained staff. I felt completely safe and everyone I interacted with was so nice! They also have yoga, a fitness area, concession, all under one roof. I can't wait to come back! One of the best places Memphis has to offer! You should definitely check it out

Go! The concept is a community rock climbing gym for greater good. If you have never climbed it's time to get off the sofa and go. Low cost, clean, safe -well, for climbing that does involve risk, friendly, community. Clean kitchen set to serve some snacks and lunch. Outstanding vision for Memphis! Go! Go! Go!

Memphis Rox literally rocks. It is he best addition to the greatest city in the history of the universe, Memphis, TN. Right across from Stax Records, this facility has a lot of soul.

I know this place offers a lot, but the scope of there activities and services is unclear. Their website isn't super helpful in communicating this sort of information either. I do know they offer team building activities, which is why I was here. Great experience! The activities were meaningful, well thought out and executed seamlessly. The staff was very helpful in facilitating conversations about the process while not letting us get too far off track in our discussions. One of my favorites of the night was the rock climbing wall! What a fun experience in general, let alone as part of a team building exercise. This wall is also open some Fridays for people to come and climb from 6-9pm for $15. Call ahead or check their facebook to check on which Fridays they are hosting this.

The staff was awesome - always helpful and cheerful, but not in an obnoxious way. There is a lake, basketball court, indoor meeting facility, pool, game room, and awesome patio with rocking chairs. I booked the place for a family reunion picnic and 2 other venues for a family reunion in 2020…read more Then covid-19 hit. The other 2 venues allowed our deposits to remain the same and reschedule the events for no additional cost . The River Boat said they didn't give refunds, but we could use it when we got ready to reschedule the reunion. The Meet and Greet venue did the same thing. Maple Grove was quite different. We paid a $1,000 deposit , and the owner wanted us to pay $500 for 2021 to reschedule and pay $500 again in 2022 to reschedule. So the owner wanted us to pay him an extra $1,000 just because we requested to postpone for another date due to a pandemic that was killing people from our original date in 2020. If I could rate them lower than 1 star I would, but long story short , our reunion is now rescheduled for next year 2023 . Therefore , we had to cut our losses before they it worse. The owner was paid $1,000 deposit for doing nothing at all but upping the prices even more. I had to go back to what I know for our family reunion picnics, Canale Farms which is the best venue for picnics ,and the family is very professional and follows up with phone calls and text unlike Maple Grove 's owner. All you need to do is pay the cost and show up at Canale Farms. Some of my family members wanted to change our venue. Unfortunately, I chose Maple Grove which was going to cost us more than Canale Farms ( food, entertainment, decorations, etc.) and the owner still had the nerve to ask for an extra 1,000 dollars due to rescheduling due to covid-19. I totally appreciate my other 2 venues for being fair and professional with the rescheduling of our 2020 Family Reunion during these trying times of the pandemic. You live and learn. What goes around comes around. What goes up must come down. I know these were the owners rules, but I just wanted to make people aware of the owners business tactics. A lesson learned with my family, don't fix what's not broken. I would not use this facility for anything or recommend to anyone. Use it at your own risk. I just like dealing with business owners who are professional and fair. This is my point of view and others may not feel the same.
